FAITH

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Hebrews 11.1-3

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11.6

Those words were written more than 2,000 years ago. You can’t say it any simpler:

Abraham believed God and it was accounted unto him as righteousness. Gal 3.6; Rom 4.3
The bottom line is that we need to have faith in God and in His existence. The ancient sages understood that God spoke and the universe was created out of things which do not appear. Faith is substance--it is real. Faith is evidence of that which is unseen. If we have faith in God we will see Him act in accordance to our faith. Put His word to the test and He will always come through.

Men will argue, reason, and refuse to believe because they don’t see it--they can’t reason it out. Those men and women will eventually become bitter. They become bitter as they age because they know they are going to die. They refuse to acknowledge the reason they are going to die--SIN.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6.23

It is that simple. Man refuses to acknowledge this simple fact. They grow old and they die. They don’t have the faith to believe in God. They don’t have the faith to believe in the resurrection of the dead and eternal life. They are most pitiful of men.

The promise of belief in Jesus Christ and His atoning work on the cross is that we will have eternal life. That eternal life begins when we are resurrected from the dead at the sound of the last trump. We are required to acknowledge and repent from our sin and we will be resurrected from the dead.

Men will believe all sorts of other philosophy and religions that only offer self improvement. Only Yeshua offers resurrection from the dead and eternal life. Men choose to look in every other direction. The answer is so simple.

Our ancestors, Adam and Eve, choose to disobey God and all of their descendants since them have chosen to disobey God. We can’t get right as a person or world without repentance and belief in Yeshua. Intelligent men and women do not want to believe this. They refuse to acknowledge sin and repent.

We are born into this world and immediately we begin the process of death. The sin that works in us leads to old age, decay, and death. The most intelligent and gifted men and women on earth can do nothing about it. The wages of sin is death.

Transhumanism, DNA cloning, and mixing human and animal DNA are all attempts to cheat death. Those who are working in these areas are promising life spans of hundreds of years. They hope to discover eternal life in the process.

They want to become as Gods. Rather than come to God and His way of salvation men choose to compete and rebel. It isn’t going to work.

The day arrives when they are old, tired, and worn out. Death is inevitable. The wages of sin is death. Believe it.

Yeshua rose from the grave. He is the captain of our salvation and the first fruits from the dead. We have this promise. We are going to be resurrected from the grave and be transformed in the twinkling of an eye (1 Corinthians 15.52). They can do whatever they want to our bodies but we are going to arise from death! We are going to rule and reign with Yeshua HaMashiach, Jesus the Messiah, in the Millennial Kingdom to come.

That is our substance. That is our good report. That is how we please God--we believe it! God is quite pleased!
