GOD IS NOT ABOVE THE LAW

And it shall be when he (the King) sits upon the throne of his kingdom that he shall cause a copy of this second law to be written in a book in the presence of the priests the Levites;

and it shall be near unto him, and he shall read in it all the days of his life that he may learn to fear the LORD his God, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them,

so his heart be not lifted up above his brethren and that he turn not aside from the commandment, to the right hand or to the left, to the end that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he and his sons, in the midst of Israel. Deuteronomy 17.18-20

The Bible says all of God’s judgments are righteous. There are at least 71 references to this fact. https://bible.knowing-jesus.com/topics/God,-Righteousness-Of

Yahweh is all about justice, righteousness, and truth. He gave mankind His law at Sinai. The ancient sages carefully interpreted His law and determined that the Torah contains 613 laws. All of which hang on loving the Lord God and our neighbor. http://www.jewfaq.org/613.htm

It is interesting to read all 613 laws as written or commanded in the Torah, the first five books of the Bible. You will see that most of the commands are common sense rules in getting along with others. There are also more than 130 laws on how the priests should dress and do their jobs. These are of course no longer relevant because after Yeshua’s resurrection there is no need for animal blood sacrifice. Yeshua became the lamb that was sacrificed for the sins of the world.

Yeshua was God’s only begotten son. He came to do the will of the Father and became our Lord and savior by giving his life’s blood for our sins. He had to die.

God’s law says there is no atonement for sin without the shedding of blood (Leviticus 17.11). Animal sacrifice was a shadow of the coming Messiah who would shed His blood for our redemption. God’s righteousness demands a blood sacrifice. There is no way to circumvent this law.

Therefore God came to earth in the form of a man, in the person of His own son, to fulfill the demand of the law which He wrote. This is the mystery of the cross. God the Father was not above the law. The creator of human life came and died for His creation. Yeshua was equal to God because He is from God.

The only way the Father could fulfill the law was to sacrifice a family member that was dear to Him—His very own son. Yeshua came from God, is equal to God, and became human to die in fulfillment of the Law.

God required the King of Israel to write a copy of the law. One for himself and one for the people. This was to remind the highest authority in the land that he was not above God’s law. Yahweh never, ever, requires anything of us that He himself will not obey. God is not above His own Law!

Yeshua said in Matthew 5.17-20 that He came to fulfill the law. He did not come to abolish the law but to fulfill the law. We, too, are to walk accordingly. We worship Him because he saved us from the curse of the law in order to fulfill the law.

We have been saved by the grace of a mighty King. This King is so righteous that he allowed His son to die for us in order to fulfill the law. This is why God is righteous and all His judgments are righteous. Our God is truth and grace, righteous and just. Totally amazing!

He is worthy of all praise. Every knee shall bow and tongue confess that Jesus the Messiah is Lord. He paid the price which His Father demanded. When every enemy is defeated (death) Yeshua will bow to the Father and the Father will sit upon the Throne of the Universe.

Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power.  For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet.  The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.  For “He has put all things under His feet.” But when He says “all things are put under Him,it is evident that He (the Father) who put all things under Him is excepted.  Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all. 1 Corinthians 15.24-28

A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE CONFLICT BETWEEN ISRAEL AND THE PALESTINIANS

When I read various news articles on the current conflict between Israel and their Palestinian neighbors I am amazed at the slanted dis-information in these accounts. The truth is very simple, but always shrouded in lies.

Jews began immigrating to Palestine in the late 1880’s when some of them began to long to return to their original land. They purchased land from Arabs in Palestine.

The Arabs thought these Jews were a little crazy for wanting to purchase this useless land. The Jews were returning to their ancient homeland seeking refuge. They were paying the Arabs for title and the Arabs never imagined how these settlers would reclaim the useless land.

Since the destruction of the Jewish Temple in 70 AD by the Romans Jews had been scattered throughout the world—always yearning to return to Jerusalem. Every Passover they would say, “Next year in Jerusalem” in hopes to one day return.

The Romans, who hated the Jews, changed the name of Judea to Palestine. This was a play on the word Philistine, the ancient enemy of the Jews. It would be called Palestine until the Jewish nation was born on May 14th 1948.

The early Jewish settlers worked the land with their toil and sweat. The land became profitable and fertile. Swamps were drained crops were planted. The Arabs who had lived and wandered in the land called Palestine never loved the land like the returning Jews.

Once the Jews began to reclaim the land the violence on both sides began. Efforts to live peacefully never could take hold—but both Jews and Arabs lived in the same land together—sometimes peacefully, but mostly it became armed conflict.

In 1947 the United Nations partitioned the land between the Arabs and the Jews. What is now the West Bank and Gaza were to be Arab and mostly what is Israel territory today was for the Jews. The Arabs rejected the plan and the Jews accepted.

The Arabs did not want Israel to exist and chose to go to war and expel the Jews. They broadcast on the radio that all Arabs should leave the area prior to the war. They were told they would get all their land plus the Jewish land after the defeat of the Jews. Six Arab nations attacked Israel on May 15th to begin what Israel calls the War of Independence.

Israel won the war. Some Palestinians returned, but most became “refugees” from the conflict. The Arab nations have been keeping the descendants of these people as refugees ever since. They have never truly offered peace to the Jews. They refuse to accept Israel’s right to exist and that is why Israel never truly negotiates peace. Money given as aid is spent on weapons rather than on the betterment of the Palestinian people.

Another fact ignored by the world is that Israel does allow freedom of religion. Israel allows Muslims to administer their holy sites and mosques themselves. The Temple Mount is under Muslim control. The Baha'i Shrine is located in Haifa.

Would Islam allow freedom of religion in Jerusalem and the Holy Land. They are systematically persecuting Christians and driving them out of Arab countries. They do not allow other religions to practice in peace in their countries. Israel is a true democracy. Islam is not.

How can you negotiate peace with those who refuse to recognize your very existence? Since the war of 1948 there have been two wars and many intifadas. The basic reason for lack of peace is that Israel’s enemies will not acknowledge their right to exist.

Hamas and the Palestinians want to wipe Israel out and keep all the land for themselves. The leadership of these organizations sacrifice their children to this dogma and refuse to negotiate in good faith. It is really that simple at its core.

There is no nation in the world that would negotiate under such terms. The world against Israel are hypocrites, demanding Israel give in and negotiate. This is why there will not be peace in the Middle East until Yeshua returns and establishes the Millennial Kingdom in the Capital of Jerusalem!

VISTING THE HOLY LAND

My wife and I are going to be visiting the Holy Land in a few days. I had been praying for an opportunity to visit again, since my first visit in 2010 when I was commissioned to be a WATCHMAN ON THE WALL to pray and watch for Jerusalem and God’s purposes in the Middle East. My commission took place in Jerusalem in 2010 by the Knesset Christian Allies Caucus and Eagles Wings. Our mission: To pray for the peace of Jerusalem and Yahweh's will and kingdom to come to earth.

For this trip I asked for four things:

1. A trip with a smaller group. The first trip was with 58 people.

2. A slower paced trip.

3. A trip that cost a lot less.

4. Ability to visit with, and get to know, people living and working in the country.

I prayed for a few weeks and gave it over to Him. A couple months later it came as a complete surprise. I met a person who asked us what we were doing, and I replied waiting to find a tour of Israel. That person and her husband were planning a trip with 16 people that met all the things I had prayed about. That’s our God!

We will be going at a time of unrest in Israel. Her enemies are aroused and tensions are increasing due to President Trump’s moving of the US Embassy to Jerusalem. This is a prophetic move. It is also a common sense move. It may lead to a peace treaty in the near future. Not God’s peace—a man made false peace.

I am sure President Trump wants to make the Deal of All Deals—peace in the Middle East. He and his son in law, Jared Kushner are diligently working towards this goal. We’ll see what happens.

In Zechariah 14 it says that Jerusalem will be divided before the coming of the Messiah. From articles I’ve read this is part of the peace plan. To cede the eastern portion of Jerusalem to the Palestinians to be their capital. This is just one step toward the return of Yeshua ha Mashiach, Jesus the Messiah.

Many other events will follow this move. Watch for it.

While in country I will be praying, watching, and listening to our Lord and those people in country. My desire is to increase in understanding and discernment of events occurring and to occur in the region. I most likely will not be posting during this time. I will send out some emails to supporters and friends, but will try to keep activities at a minimum in order to not be distracted. I want to hear from Him.

I believe it will be a very interesting trip and ask that readers of the blog will pray for us all. After we return I will post some on what happened and how it relates to our current time. There will be some posts scheduled for the period we are gone.

We do not believe the pre-tribulation rapture is scriptural—it is false teaching. Many will learn this the hard way, but I don’t have to say anymore. It will play out. God’s people will be tried in the fire and made ready for the final wedding feast.

Just want to make that clear. Those of us who are alive during this time will be tremendously blessed and tried. It will not be easy, but many will survive and be tired as gold. I do not wish or pray for the day of the Lord—it will be a dark day:

Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD shall be darkness, and not light. As if a man fled from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall and a serpent bit him. Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it? Amos 5.18-20

It will come at the appointed time. In the meanwhile we will continue to occupy until he comes. We will live in the light while it is light.

Jerusalem is ground zero. In some ways it may be the safest place on the planet. It is the place where Yeshua is waiting for the Father’s permission to return and save His people! We are privileged to be able to visit at this momentous time.

Stay tuned. Your prayers are much appreciated.

A MAN YOU SHOULD HEAR – AMIR TSARFATI

A friend of mine recently introduced me to the website of Amir Tsarfati who was born in Israel and has lived there most of his life. Since fulfilling his mandatory service in the Israeli Defense Force, he has continued as a major in the IDF Reserve. Amir has been a tour guide in Israel for the last twenty years, and served as chief tour guide of Sar El Tours and CEO of Sar El Tours and Conferences. In 2001, he became founder and president of Behold Israel – a non-profit organization which provides worldwide real-time access to reliable sources of news and information about Israel from within the powerful context of Bible history and prophecy.

Amir is married to Miriam, and together they have four children. His home overlooks the valley of Megiddo (Armageddon) which is a constant reminder of the call that the Lord has placed on him to teach from the Bible what God’s plans are for the end times.

He makes several reposts on the current situation and events each week on his website: http://beholdisrael.org/news-israel His reports are excellent and will help you to understand the prophetic events which are taking place in the Middle East.

I share this with you as I am just now beginning to explore his site and listen to his thoughts on the current events in Israel and the Middle East. The link under the heading is a recent Youtube post on the current tensions in Israel and his thoughts on the Antichrist and coming end time wars.
This is very insightful information and worth your time.

RABBI SAYS “THINGS ABOUT TO GET BIBLICAL” AS TENSIONS INCREASE IN MIDDLE EAST

Back in 2009 I began to seriously seek the Lord for some understanding of end time Biblical prophecy. He told me I first needed to understand Bible history, church history, and world history. Together these are His Story. All of history is moving toward the second coming of Yeshua. We have had 6,000 years to figure it out yet now we stand on the brink of nuclear destruction.

Islam, Judaism, and Christianity all have similar end time beliefs. In Islam the return of the 12th Madhi is awaited. He will establish Islam as the world religion and Yeshua will bow to the Madhi. Both Judaism and Christianity await the return of the Messiah of Israel to establish peace on earth.

And now Rabbi Pinchas Winston, a prolific end-times theorist who has penned 50 books, has predicted a conflict is on the brink. He eluded to prophecy predicted by a 13th century scholar which said Iran would spark an apocalyptic war. https://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/world-news/701985/iran-israel-war-us-syria-nuclear-deal-middle-east-ayatollah-rabbi-bible-apocalypse

“Things are about to get Biblical,” Rabbi Winston told Breaking Israel news. He said confrontation between Israel and Iran is not a “normal political crisis” but rather “this is a Biblically based, prophetic crisis”. Iran and Israel are long term enemies who have come into direct confrontation over the Ayatollah’s build-up in Syria. Tehran is believed to have tens of thousands of troops aiding dictator Bashar al-Assad.

They are thought to be developing permanent military bases in Syria, with the long-term goal of an attack on Israel. This week has seen a direct clash as Israel pounded Iranian positions in Syria with 70 missiles following an attack in Golan Heights.

Rabbi Winston cited a prophecy from the Yalkut Shimoni, a commentary of the Bible penned in the 1200s, which mentions a major war between Israel and Iran. It reads: “All the nations of the world will be provoking each other. The king of Persia will provoke the king of Arabia.” And it says the war will “threaten to destroy the entire world” as the nations “fall on their faces and will experience pains like birth pangs”.

There are many who believe the current events in the Middle East are a prelude to the Psalm 83 war:

Do not keep silence, O God; do not hold thy peace, and do not be still, O God.  For, behold, thine enemies make a tumult, and those that hate thee have lifted up their head.  They have taken prudent counsel in secret against thy people and consulted against thy hidden ones.

They have said, Come and let us cut them off from being a people that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.  Therefore they have consulted together with one consent; they are confederate against thee:       Ps 83.1-5

This is a clear reference of a conspiracy against the ancient Jewish people, Israel that we see today. The Psalm then identifies the conspirators:

The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites; of Moab and the Hagarenes;  Gebal and Ammon and Amalek; Philistia  Assur also is joined with them: they are an arm unto the sons of Lot. Selah. Ps 83.6-8

These verses identify conspirators as Arabs living in Egypt, the Levant (Iraq, Syria, Jordan, West Bank, and Lebanon). The Ismaelites = general Arab population from Negev to Iraq. Hagrites = Eastern Jordan. Philista = Palestinians, PLO, PA, and Hamas. Assyria = Iraq and Syria. Gebal = Lebanon. Amalek = tribes that stretch from the Negev and across Jordan to Iraq. Tents of Edom, Moab, and Ammon = Jordan.

These groups of conspirators have been attempting to destroy Israel since the 1948 War of Independence. This confederacy is now stirring again. The Psalmist ends with a plea for the Lord of Hosts to destroy Israel’s enemies:

Do unto them as unto the Midianites, as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the brook of Kison, who perished at Endor; they became as dung for the earth.  Make them and their captains like Oreb and like Zeeb; all their princes as Zebah and as Zalmunna:  Who have said, Let us inherit for ourselves the habitations of God.

O my God, make them like a whirlwind, as the stubble before the wind.  As the fire burns a wood and as the flame sets the mountains on fire  so persecute them with thy tempest and make them afraid with thy whirlwind.

Fill their faces with shame that they may seek thy name, O LORD. Let them be confounded and troubled for- ever; let them be put to shame and perish  That they may know that thou, whose name alone is LORD, art the most high over all the earth. Ps 83.9-18

Scripture says God will restore Israel to their promised land. This will be completely fulfilled during the Millennial Kingdom (Rev 20). Now we are to pray for the peace of Jerusalem until the Messiah returns.

Israel has been looking to the New World Order to establish alliances for their peace and security. This will never be successful as Yahweh desires they look to Him for peace, security, and salvation. The prophets of old warned Israel and Judah to look to their Elohim for salvation—not in alliances with foreign nations.

It is likely that Israel will be the victor in this Psalm 83 war. It appears the stage is being set for such a conflict. An Israel victory could set the stage for a peace agreement with her neighbors on terms Israel would feel comfortable with. That, in turn, would set the stage for the tribulation period and Israel being double crossed by the New World Anti-Christ Order. Could this be what the Apostle Paul meant?

For ye know well that the day of the Lord shall come as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction shall come upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should take you as a thief. 1 Thess 5.2-4

We need to be watchmen on the wall during these prophetic days and pray for the Middle East and for the peace of Jerusalem. At the time appointed by the Father Yeshua will return to save all Israel and the world. The world will see Yahweh’s glory and come to Jerusalem to worship Him. It will be a glorious time.

TRUMP VOIDS IRAN NUCLEAR DEAL MID-EAST TENSIONS BOIL

President Trump backed out of the Iran nuclear deal on Tuesday May 8th in keeping with his campaign promise that it was a “horrible deal.” The ramifications of pulling out of the deal certainly have prophetic implications for coming events in the Middle East. There is more behind this than meets the eye.

President Trump and his son-in-law Jerad Kushner have been working behind the scenes to broker the ultimate peace deal with the Palestinians and Israel. Mr. Kushner has been wooing Saudi Arabia since Mr. Trump was elected President. He is sort of an unofficial representative of the US in the Middle East. https://burningbush647.blogspot.com/2018/02/jared-kushners-quiet-middle-east.html

Mr. Trump would like to broker the biggest deal of all time: Peace in the Middle East. Inside sources say the administration is putting a plan together. https://www.axios.com/trump-may-present-middle-east-peace-plan-without-palestin-1517504081-af6aabf0-76c5-4994-9d37-1dc203a411c3.html

This plan would divide the city of Jerusalem giving the Israelis the western portion and the Palestinians the eastern portion of the city. The Prophet Zechariah said the city would be divided in the last days prior to the Lord of Host arrival (Zechariah 14).

In the past the Israelis have vowed to never divide the city again. In the 1967 war the Israelis captured the eastern portion of Jerusalem from Jordan. They have possessed the entire city since then. It would be a major concession if they agreed to the dividing of Jerusalem. I believe it would require the Palestinians agreeing to recognize Israel’s right to exist. It seems impossible—but Biblical prophecy will be fulfilled.

The question is how will the city be divided? Will it be negotiated peacefully or forcefully? Zechariah seems to indicate the city will be forcefully divided. That actually could be a negotiation that is disagreeable to Israel. Time will tell us, but the dividing of Jerusalem is a key indicator of the “Time of Jacob’s Trouble” coming upon the world. Jerusalem will be a stumbling stone to all (Zechariah 12.3).

The immediate results of Mr. Trump’s decision to void the Iran deal has been a strengthening of the U$ dollar. 10 year Treasury Bonds jumped to 3%. Our European allies were dismayed at the decision and will most likely continue with Iran. Ever so slowly America is being isolated on the world scene by Mr. Trump’s policies.

I believe this is God working through Mr. Trump to bring about His will. America is not going to be great again as we were. In fact, as posted earlier, I believe Mr. Trump is being used as Jeroboam II was in ancient Israel prior to their judgment through Assyrian attack. http://burningbush647.blogspot.com/2018/04/could-president-trumpspresidency-be.html

Judgment is coming on America. We have become a spoiled, immature, corrupted nation that acts like a silly dove (Hosea 7.11-16). All of the Lord’s judgments are righteous. He is preparing America for His judgment in a compassionate way which we do not understand.

He is slowly isolating America from the rest of the world. We have lost respect in Europe and South America. We are following Mr. Trump’s lead and acting unpredictably in all that we do on the world scene. This is God’s hand moving upon us, preparing us for the judgment to come.

There are two great oceans separating us from the rest of the world. Our military strength in based on projecting naval power. Our aircraft carriers are sitting ducks in a world of surface to air missile technology. Our financial system is on the verge of collapse. We are being prepared for captivity.

Captivity, however, can be a place of safety (Micah 2.12-13; Isaiah 63.1-6). Bozrah is in Edom, an enemy of Israel. Bozrah means “sheep pen” and it is a place to keep the sheep penned in or captive. God is preparing America for His judgment. He must judge us for our sins but He is going to do it in such a way that we will be preserved through isolation.

Once our power has been broken, the end time events will take place in Europe and the Middle East. Our isolation will be a Bozrah sheep pen of protection. We will be judged but God’s love for us will ultimately be our salvation. Note that the "Breaker" comes to the aid of the sheep who are being held in captivity. Our "Breaker" will come and save us after our chastisement.

Captivity can be a place of safety during judgment. Look how Judah prospered in Babylonian captivity when they were judged. Yahweh’s ways are above our ways. The will be grace in our trial and tribulation.

We are watching and praying as the Middle East is preparing for war. I am sure of one thing—Yeshua is coming and He will establish His Millennial Kingdom with Jerusalem as His capital city when the flames and dust settle.

GOD’S WAY IS WAY ABOVE OUR WAY

Sometimes things just have to germinate for a while. I would love to post everyday but that would not be realistic. Sometimes I can post every other day and sometimes there must be solitude before posting—that is reality. Posting and sharing is not a technique—it is waiting and ruminating—then we post.

I’ve been ruminating on how Elohim’s ways are so above our ways. The church has packaged everything and perfected all the techniques learned in the colleges of the world. As Daniel said, there is an increase in knowledge today (Dan 12.4) and many running to and fro.

Much of this knowledge is the knowledge of the Mystery Babylonian world we live in today. We go to church for an hour and a half each week. Forty-five minutes of the service is rock n roll worship, fifteen minutes is announcements, and a half hour message on “how to become all you can be”, and that’s all for the week. Maybe an hour Bible study on Wednesday night?

Doesn’t everything just seemed totally packaged with technique laden platitudes, and shallow as an ash tray? Does everyone have to be ON all the time? Like can our leaders dial it down a bit? Turn off the switch, be real and really talk to me?

The Father doesn’t work this way. He is much more deliberate and patient with us. His ways are beyond our comprehension. He would like to slow it down and make it real. This is not always easy on our action personalities. We want to become—He desires us to be.

We talked about walking in the spirit is walking in the Law/Torah of Yahweh in the previous post. Look at the works of the flesh:

“Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” Galatians 5.19-21

Note that all the works of the flesh are against the Law as written in the Torah. Look at Acts 15 on the question of whether new believers had to be physically circumcised. They were told to avoid idols, fornication, and eating of blood. Then they were told to go to the synagogue where the Law of Moses was read and studied each Sabbath--all day (Acts 15.19-21), not 1 1/2 hours--to learn the rest of the Law.

The fruit of the spirit is walking in the “spirit” of God’s Royal Law:

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law, and those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Galatians 5.22-25

Therefore we are not under the curse of the law—but we walk in the spirit of God’s law. Therefore we must meditate on and love God’s law. We are justified by our faith in God’s operation of circumcising our hearts (Ezekiel 20.18-32; Romans 2.28-29) and Yeshua’s sacrifice.

That is surely above how any technique of man would attempt to do this. This is a spiritual operation and walked out in the spirit.

Three men come to mind when thinking of God’s ways being above our ways: The three are Moses, David, and Paul the Apostle. They learned to yield to God and walk in the spirit—not some formula or technique.

Moses killed a man when trying to break up an argument (Exodus 2.11-15) and fled into the wilderness.

David committed adultery with Uriah’s wife and had him sent to the front of battle to be killed (2 Sam 11).

Paul severely persecuted the early believers and condoned their stoning (Acts 7.57-8.3).

How would these men be so favored of God? Why did He choose them? He even said David was a man after His heart (1 Sam 13.14, Acts 13.22)! How would man’s justice system deal with these men? What did God see in them? Where would they be if given over to the judgment of men?

Elohim first looked at their hearts. These were zealous men who truly believed in what they were doing, or in David’s case, he got caught up in lust, but he was overall zealous for his Elohim. You or I would most likely not look to these men to accomplish God’s purpose. They wouldn’t fit the formula.

The key factor, in the hearts of these men, was that when confronted with the truth they did not deny, but accepted truth, and REPENTED. They had repentant hearts. Hearts that could be changed and molded by Yahweh. A humble and repentant heart is key. These men were A type personalities—but when confronted by the Living God—they fell on their faces before Him.

They also paid for their sins. Moses in the wilderness for 40 years waiting for God to fulfill His promise. So long in the wilderness that Moses almost forgot how to speak (Ex 4.10)!

David lost his first child with Bathsheba and his family caused him great pain.

Paul was blinded for three days and gave up all his worldly positions.

They paid for their sins without complaint. They “manned up” so to speak and God used them to fulfill His purposes. They turned from their ways and all the techniques they had been taught in the world.

Then there is another great man of scripture that is rarely spoken of—Obadiah. Here is a true example of God’s ways being way above our ways. Obadiah was the governor of King Ahab’s house. Ahab is the most evil king of the Northern Tribes of Israel. Jezebel was his wicked wife.

Obadiah was a man of God working for the wickedest king in Israel! Most Christians I know, including myself, would have said, “No way am I working for that wicked man, much less step foot into his house!” Yeah, we would quit that job in a minute!

Not Obadiah. He knew his God in a deep way. He knew he was placed there for a Divine purpose. Obadiah saved the lives of a hundred prophets, hiding them in caves, when Jezebel went after them (1 Kings 18.4).

We all need to slow down…quiet ourselves…wait. The techniques of the world, the formulas to increase the numbers of congregations, the entertainment in music ministry, and preaching need to be re-examined. God’s way is way above our way. God wants to place us in some strange places and positions of service.

Slow down and hear what God is saying. This is not about your “best destiny” or how to prosper in the Lord. It is about walking righteously in Him each day. It is about a higher obedience and walk. It is about HE not ME! The world is all about ME.

Life is not a pep rally. It is one day at a time, slugging it out. It has wonderful moments and experiences, but we shouldn’t have to be pumped up once a week. Walk it out a day at a time and hear God for yourself—not what somebody else tells you or wants you to be.

This company of Yeshua’s disciples will move at His pace. We will accomplish His will in His time. Wait for it!
