CONTROVERSY OF ZION AND THE TIME OF JACOB’S TROUBLE - PART THREE
by Dalton Lifsey
This was a book I read a couple of years ago that has some great insights on end time eschatology concerning the church and the nation of Israel. The “time of Jacob’s trouble” refers to the Age-ending suffering of the Jewish people and the glorious restoration that follows. The following are my notes on the book. It may be ordered at the above website.

10. Destruction and restoration of Israel in Isaiah.

Isaiah is the most important end time book about Israel at the end of the age. Isaiah 4, 6, 11 In Isaiah 4 we see the extremity of the violence against Israel, the process of cleansing, and finality of restoration. This is an indispensable chapter to read. We see the military crises in the land of Israel and the salvation of Israel. They are never to be uprooted again after Messiah comes. This is an important chapter for the generation alive at the end of the age.

In Isaiah 6 we see Isaiah’s cleansing foreshadowing Israel’s cleansing. Verses 8-13 explain how God will execute His prophetic purpose for Israel. The modern state will be leveled like a tree and the population reduced to 1/10th or a stump. Israel is “hardened” until the end.

Isaiah 11 emphasizes the process of Israel’s return to the land after chastening has run its course. Jewish captives will be recovered for a second time. All these events occur after Jesus returns.

11. Devastation and restoration in Daniel 10 thru 12.

Jesus quoted these prophecies for the end of the age: Daniel’s encounter with the angel 10.1-21, Near future 11.1-20, Distant future 11.21-12.13, Anti-Christ 10, Resurrection and deliverance 12, and military campaign 11.21. Jesus treated Dan 11.21-12.13 as one unified prophetic message.

Daniel 9.27 and 11.31 are both about the abomination, Matt 24.15.

1st half of final 7 years is Dan 11.21-31

2nd half of final 7 years is Dan 11.32-12.10...after the final 7 years is Dan 12.11-13. The final assault on Jerusalem is due to hatred of the covenant (with the people and the land). Dan 11.28-31...heart set against covenant. He shall come south and withdraw again and is enraged against the holy covenant. (Is this Islam?) Dan 11.31 speaks of international armies. Joel 3.2-3.

Four facts in Daniel 11:31:

1. Will enter land w/forces, Ez 38.10-16, Zech 14.1-2.
2. Will profane the Temple as tribulation begins, 2 Thess 2.1-5. Rev 11.2
3. Burnt offerings taken away--is this a temple to be built in Jerusalem?
4. Abomination of Desolation when the Anti-Christ proclaims he is god, then the last 42 months begin (Rev 13.5-7). The re-instating of the burnt offerings to the restoration of the temple is 1150 days in Daniel 8.11-14. There are two burnt offerings each day = 1150 days.

12. Future re-gathering. Jeremiah 30.4-11

(Chapters 30-33 focus on restoration) speaks of coming terror. Verses 8-11 happen chronologically. There are 10 promises in vv 4-7. Read Jer 31.1-14 in connection with ch 30. We see remnant in Isaiah 4.2-6, Zech 13.8-9. In Isaiah 49.13-26 we see comfort, people forsaken, re-gathering to blessed land, restoration in sight of nations, rescue of captives, and punishment of oppressors. Joel 3 speaks of final battle for the land.

The issue of the land and the people of Israel will be God’s method of testing the hearts of all men and nations at the end of the age. This will be the measuring stick of the judgment of the nations. This test will polarize humanity. He who loves the Lord Jesus Christ will love His people--and Jesus said, “ I bring division.” This division will separate the sheep and goat nations. Joel speaks of the assault of the nations on Israel and of their judgment. Joel 3.1-16 In the same chapter vv17-21 speaks of the restoration of Israel. Joel mentions these things in order that the church know what to do and how to act when they begin occurring.

13. The church’s identification with Israel during Jacob’s Trouble.

We are called to honor the commonwealth of Israel and it is mandatory that we identify with Israel and the Jewish people. “To the Jew, first,” says the word of God. The church’s sacrificial identification with Israel is not an option. It will separate the faithful from the apostate at the end of the age. Six ways the church will be called upon to express their devotion:

1. Pain--Identification with Israel will be painful. To stand with her will mean we suffer. Jacob’s trouble is not just “Jacob’s” problem. We will not be raptured away to watch. We will share in her fate when we stand with her.

2. Prayer--Pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122.6-9). Pray for boldness, pray for Jewish salvation.

3. Provision--Radical and generous giving to the “naked, thirsty, strangers, hungry, sick, and in prison.” We may have to feed them if there is a “mark of the beast.”

4. Provocation-- Our identification with them should move them to faith in Christ. They will be moved by how Christians care for them in the time of trouble.

5. Prophecy--Isaiah 28.9-13 speaks of prophetic ministry of gentiles to Jews. The church speaks as expositors of the prophetic scriptures. We will proclaim the gospel of the Kingdom to them--and the one whom they have pierced.

6. Persevering Love--When the entire world despises them, the church’s sacrificial service will shine like the sun in brilliance. The Jews will see Jesus. Ruth 1.16-18, Rev 12.11

14. The land: Jewish right to the land is the controversy of the Covenant.

Since Abraham, the land has been a contentious issue and a theatre of war. Zionism is rooted in the biblical concept of the land--a union between the land, the people, and God. This is the issue that will ultimately test men’s hearts. Zech 12.2-3, 6 shows the center of the controversy.

Islam rejects the covenant. The church rejects Israel’s claim to the land--many side with the Palestinians calling Israel Apartheid and dehumanizing indigenous Palestinians. They believe Israel is irrelevant to the purposes of God. In fact Israel is the only democratic and free nation in the region. They respect the rights of individuals and recognize the Palestinian need for a homeland. The Palestinian’s refuse to recognize Israel’s right to exist.

15. The question of Jewish right to the land--conditions of the Covenant.

Many believe the New Covenant renders the Covenant with the Jews and the land obsolete. Luke 1.68-75 speaks of millennial safety and peace in the land. The unconditional covenant does come with one condition to allow it to work--obedience.

1. Abraham received an unconditional promise of eternal presence in the land.

2. Descendants must obey God to enjoy the covenant.

3. Prophets declared if condition of obedience not met--expulsion from the land--but future re-gathering when repentant.

Even though the Jews have been rebellious and not obeyed--they have been promised the land. It is not based on righteousness, but on the irrevocable covenant with the fathers. Jeremiah 30.3, 31.35-37. The final Anti-Christ invasion of the land is represented as an assault on the “Holy Covenant.” Daniel 11.28-30 The people are rebellious, but nonetheless regarded as holy.

The issue of the land is the issue of grace. It will test men’s hearts because it concerns what God has spoken. It raises the question of divine election since the Jews are not yet obedient through faith in the Messiah’s blood. God has given the land unconditionally apart from works on the basis of future grace. This will expose each heart to the nature of grace--and this is the point of divine testing. God’ covenant with obstinate Israel is God’s premier object lesson by which He will teach the nations the mystery of His grace.

16. The question of Jewish right to the land: The vengeance of the Covenant.
Joshua 23.14-16, and Leviticus 26.25 point out the quarrel or vengeance of the covenant. Blessings-Curses, Obedience-Disobedience. Their residence in the land is jeopardized as long as they fail to meet requirements: Deut 28, Lev 26. Note Hosea’s situation with an unfaithful wife along with Leviticus 26.23-42.

Human rage against the covenant is shown in Dan 11.28-32. The Jews have been persecuted forever--their very existence challenged throughout history. The end of the age will feature unprecedented quarrel, controversy, and suffering. It will be all about the land and the intent to exterminate the people of the covenant thereby settling the issue of the land “once and for all.”

God’s Zeal for Zion
If we understand the covenant we understand history, discern the present, have clarity about the future, and reverence of the holy. It gives meaning to a seemingly meaningless history of mind numbing violence. It helps us to understand the nature of spiritual warfare. Eph 6.12-18

During this time of trouble the church will need to express her devotion to Jesus through faithfulness and stewardship to declare God’s “zeal for Zion.” Zech 8.1-8, Isaiah 62.1-2, 6-7. We need to discern God’s fierce jealousy for Jerusalem and the land of Israel--to pray and intercede for Israel. Their tenure in the land is marked by iniquity, rebellion, unbelief, and sin. Have the actions of the church been any different? These are important things to meditate upon. Ezekiel 39.25-29 is the final word.

17. Some final thoughts to sum things up  It is fitting that the beast kills the 2 prophets in Jerusalem. Luke 13.33, Rev 18.24, 17.16-18. All nations will be required to consider the basis of righteousness and grace--this is the purpose of Jerusalem at the end of the age and in the scheme of divine wisdom. It will offend human reasoning. God alone is God. It is his grace--not our works or reasoning.

Some spokesmen of the past who stood for Israel: Charles Spurgeon, Robert Murray M’Cheyne, Horatius Bonar, J.C. Ryle, all from the 1800’s

CONTROVERSY OF ZION AND THE TIME OF JACOB’S TROUBLE - PART TWO
by Dalton Lifsey
This was a book I read a couple of years ago that has some great insights on end time eschatology concerning the church and the nation of Israel. The “time of Jacob’s trouble” refers to the Age-ending suffering of the Jewish people and the glorious restoration that follows. The following are my notes on the book. It may be ordered at the above website.

4. The time of Jacob’s trouble. Deut 4.26-31 spells it out: I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that you will soon utterly perish from the land which you cross over the Jordan to possess; you will not prolong your days in it, but will be utterly destroyed. And the LORD will scatter you among the peoples, and you will be left few in number among the nations where the LORD will drive you. And there you will serve gods, the work of men’s hands, wood and stone, which neither see nor hear nor eat nor smell. But from there you will seek the LORD your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul. When you are in distress, and all these things come upon you in the latter days, when you turn to the LORD your God and obey His voice (for the LORD your God is a merciful God), He will not forsake you nor destroy you, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which He swore to them.

The final years of natural history will revolve around the nation of Israel, Jerusalem, and the issue of the Jewish people. This will be a time of unequaled violence and tribulation. The Holocaust was a warning, this will be worse, if you can imagine that. Zech 14.1-4, Jer 30.4-7, Matt 24.15-22, Dan 12.1-7

Three things will occur at this time:

1. Trouble and tribulation for Jacob. 2. Deliverance and salvation for Jews. 3. Resurrection of the righteous.

The issue of Israel’s suffering is also the issue of their salvation and deliverance. It all culminates at this time. The judgment of God and the rage of sinful men and nations combined with the wrath of Satan will collide--with the Jews in the middle. Jer 30.23-24, Is 34.8, Jer 25.31, the promise 1 Chron 16.15-18

Romans 11.25 For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. Ignorance of this “mystery” is the seedbed of Christian arrogance. Israel stumbled over the mystery of the gospel, now nations are stumbling over the mystery of Israel. This issue of the “everlasting covenant” and the controversy over the land will become the world’s focus before the return of the Lord occurs. It is going to draw all nations into a valley of decision. Joel 3.2, 11-12, 14 God has predestined the issue of the Jew to be the issue on which all nations are going to be tested and judged. Zeph 3.8

The church will also be tested on this issue and the stigma which will be attached to it. Zech 12.2-3, 9 There will be divine testing at the end of the age: 1 Chron 16.17, Ps 105.10-11, Ez 37.25-26, Lev 26.42, Is 62.4, Micah 4.1-8, Acts 1.6, 3.18-21, Rom 11.25-29

5. Beginning and length of trouble

Matt 24.36...no man knows, Matt 24.32-34 We are to know the season and nearness. Coming events:

1. Crises in Jerusalem. Matt 24.15-22 Dan 12.1-2, Jer 30.7

2. Invasion of the land of Israel and escape to Judea. Isaiah 28.16-19, Zech 12.1-3, 14.1-3

3. Invasion and trampling of Jerusalem. Rev 11 for 42 months.

4. The probationary return to the land in unbelief. Ezekiel 22.19-22 is a re-gathering for refining and judgment.

Ezekiel 38.8-9, Zeph 2.1-3
5. The Abomination of Desolation. 2 Thess 2.1-7, Final tribulation, Anti-Christ, salvation of Israel, time of the end,

resurrection of the dead.

How long? Matt 24.22 says cut short. 3.5 years, when temple sacrifices end. Dan 11.31, Matt 24.15, 21-22

Dan 12.6-13 3.5 yrs, people shattered, 1290 days from the taking away of the offering. 1260 days Rev 11.2-3, 12.6, 12.14, 13.5-7

1260-1290 days is a transition between end of age and restoration? Dan 8.13-14 Abomination is set up between 1260 to 1290 days before time of the end.

6. Climax of trouble Jer 30.4-7...he shall be saved out of it. It ends with salvation. Dan 12.1-2,7, Micah 5.3-4, Psalm 102.13. In Rom 11 future salvation of Israel, Rom 9 Israel’s election in the past, Rom 10 Israel’s deflection in the present, Rom 11 Israel’s salvation in the future.

Romans 11

1. Gentile church is inclined towards ignorance and arrogance toward Israel. 11.25

2. Israel has been partially hardened. 11.25

3. Israel’s hardness not final or ultimate. 11.25

4. Israel will be delivered when time of Gentiles is fulfilled.

5. All Israel (at that time) will be saved at Gentile conclusion. 11.26 That is every surviving Jew, Ez 37.25-28, Is 4.2-4, Zech 13.8-9...1/3 saved, Jer 31.34, Zech 12.10 with Matt 24.29-30 with Rev 1.7, 2 Thess 1.7-10

6. Israel will be saved when Jesus returns. Rom 11.26-27, Is 59.20, Jer 31.33-34, Zech 14 Feast of Tabernacles.

7. Unbelieving Jews are our Beloved “enemies.” 11.28 In Rev 12.6 are the Jews nourished by the church for 1260 days? In the final hour of trouble we will nourish each other.

8. Gifts and calling of God are irrevocable. 11.29

7. The prophecies The state of Israel will be at the center of the greatest conflict in human history. Many will suffer and ultimately be saved. Israel achieved statehood in 1948 and reclaimed Jerusalem in 1967--these are the most significant events in modern history.

Isaiah 51.17-52.2 Jerusalem’s awaking and salvation is preceded by their suffering. The military invasion is an instrument of divine judgment. Isaiah 51.21-23 In Ezekiel 20.33-38 we see chastisement, a sifting of the people, pleading face to face, and Israel’s final re-gathering. Israel’s final affliction must have its inception in the “land and the city.”

8. Difference between the modern state and the future nation.  In Zech 13.8-9 2/3 of the people perish and 1/3 are purged and survive. This appears to happen after the state comes into being in 1948. Messianic Jew, David Baron 1855-1926 also saw it this way. God’s long controversy with Israel (and the world) and sin will finally be settled on the same soil where it originated. People shattered Dan 12, sifted Zech 13, Is 63.18

After an age ending siege, the restored nation will be rebuilt on ruins in sight of all nations. Isaiah 28.14-22 is an end time word. This scourge will overwhelm the people in the land. Zech 14.1-4

Isaiah 51 is a message of hope, but reflects the coming tragedy prior to final salvation. In Isaiah 10.20-23 we see the remnant returns to restore the nation. Jacob’s trouble erupts from within the land, resulting in invasion, escape, and expulsion of the Jews. The “state” is today’s political Israel. The nation is future.

9. Difference between recent return to the land and the future return  The modern state of Israel does not constitute the great and final re-gathering and restoration of the nation. Isaiah 49.22, 60.9, 66.20 This seems to indicate an even more massive return to the land. Isaiah 11.11-13, 14.6, 27.13 Final re-gathering Ez 39.29.

Many believe that now, having been planted in the land, that the Jews will never be uprooted again. Ez 36.33-35 seems to support this idea. They see Israel secure from future expulsion, but Isaiah 35.1-10 shows the weakness of this view as we are not at this point yet.

We have not seen: The glory of God revealed or His coming in vengeance to save. To date there has been no acknowledgement of God, as the secular state does not adore God’s glory and majesty. We have not seen a final return with singing, gladness, and peace. The Jews who have returned to the secular state still have many enemies. Hope drew many, but many have left because of fear. Those who return are to return in peace to a secure nation. This is not the state we see since established in 1948. Verses 1, 7, 5-6 have not yet been fulfilled. We see no rejoicing in Jerusalem today as in Isaiah 66.8-12. On the day a nation is born there is to be peace like a river--we only see conflict today.

The birth of a nation results in: Immediate joy and peace in Jerusalem, extending of God’s peace, God’s indignation against enemies. Therefore the birth of a state and a nation are two different things. We do not see the day and night prayer and worship of Amos 9.9-15 established as yet. The scripture says there will be future scattering and then a re-gathering. Jer 30.3-7, Ez 22.17-23, Joel 3.1-3, the city is invaded. The recent establishment of the state in 1948 makes this event possible. We see a post tribulation return here; Isaiah 11.11-16, 27.12-13.

CONTROVERSY OF ZION AND THE TIME OF JACOB’S TROUBLE - PART ONE
 by Dalton Lifsey

This was a book I read a couple of years ago that has some great insights on end time eschatology concerning the church and the nation of Israel. The “time of Jacob’s trouble” refers to the Age-ending suffering of the Jewish people and the glorious restoration that follows. The following are my notes on the book. It may be ordered at the above website.

1. The Controversy
For their mother has played the harlot; She who conceived them has behaved shamefully. For she said, ‘I will go after my lovers, Who give me my bread and my water, My wool and my linen, My oil and my drink.’ “ Therefore, behold, I will hedge up your way with thorns, And wall her in, So that she cannot find her paths. She will chase her lovers, But not overtake them; Yes, she will seek them, but not find them. Then she will say, ‘ I will go and return to my first husband, For then it was better for me than now.’ Hosea 2.5-7
Hear ye now what the LORD saith; Arise, contend thou before the mountains, and let the hills hear thy voice.
Hear ye, O mountains, the LORD's controversy, and ye strong foundations of the earth: for the LORD hath a controversy with his people, and he will plead with Israel. Micah 6.1-2

For it is the day of the LORD's vengeance, and the year of recompenses for the controversy of Zion. Isaiah 34.8

The Assyrians as a tool of judgment on the House of Israel Isaiah 10.5-6
O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation. I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.

Babylon as a tool of judgment on the House of Jacob Habakkuk 1.5-6
Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvelously: for I will work a work in your days which ye will not believe, though it be told you. For, lo, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breadth of the land, to possess the dwelling places that are not their's.
Chastisement for disobedience Leviticus 26.23-26
And if ye will not be reformed by me by these things, but will walk contrary unto me; Then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet seven times for your sins. And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall avenge the quarrel of my covenant: and when ye are gathered together within your cities, I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy. And when I have broken the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver you your bread again by weight: and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied.

And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me; Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins. And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat. And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you. And I will make your cities waste, and bring your sanctuaries unto desolation, and I will not smell the savor of your sweet odors. And I will bring the land into desolation: and your enemies which dwell therein shall be astonished at it. And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste.

These judgments/chastisements are not made obsolete with Jesus’ death on the cross. In Luke 19 Jesus prophesied of Jerusalem’s coming destruction for disobedience (Luke 19.43-44). He also spoke of an end time calamity in Luke 21.20-24. This is the primary way God addresses the sin of His people and the world when all lesser forms of discipline are rejected.

Ezekiel 20.33-42
As I live,” says the Lord GOD, “surely with a mighty hand, with an outstretched arm, and with fury poured out, I will rule over you. I will bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the countries where you are scattered, with a mighty hand, with an outstretched arm, and with fury poured out. And I will bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and there I will plead My case with you face to face. Just as I pleaded My case with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so I will plead My case with you,” says the Lord GOD.
“I will make you pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant; I will purge the rebels from among you, and those who transgress against Me; I will bring them out of the country where they dwell, but they shall not enter the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the LORD.
“As for you, O house of Israel,” thus says the Lord GOD: “Go, serve every one of you his idols—and hereafter—if you will not obey Me; but profane My holy name no more with your gifts and your idols. For on My holy mountain, on the mountain height of Israel,” says the Lord GOD, “there all the house of Israel, all of them in the land, shall serve Me; there I will accept them, and there I will require your offerings and the firstfruits of your sacrifices, together with all your holy things. I will accept you as a sweet aroma when I bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the countries where you have been scattered; and I will be hallowed in you before the Gentiles. Then you shall know that I am the LORD, when I bring you into the land of Israel, into the country for which I raised My hand in an oath to give to your fathers. Also read: Hosea 2.14-17, 18-23, 3.1-5
Israel’s end time change of heart is the great climax of this age. Read Romans 11

2. The People  Jew and born again Christian are one bride, one church, saved by one savior. Read Romans 9 thru 11
Israel has a set time of transformation (Psalm 102.13). You will arise and have mercy on Zion; For the time to favor her, Yes, the set time, has come. Romans 11, Ephesians 2 and 3 reveal the reality of union and distinction between Israel and the church. A husband and wife “become” one, but still retain their gender distinction and individuality.

3. The Land: Gen 17.7-8 And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you. Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.”

Isaiah 11.11-12 It shall come to pass in that day That the Lord shall set His hand again the second time To recover the remnant of His people who are left, From Assyria and Egypt, From Pathros and Cush, From Elam and Shinar, From Hamath and the islands of the sea. He will set up a banner for the nations, And will assemble the outcasts of Israel,
And gather together the dispersed of Judah From the four corners of the earth.
Also read: Ez 37.21, Hosea 1.11, 3.4-5, Joel 3.20, Amos 9.14-15, Obad 1.17, Micah 4.6-7, Zeph 3.14-20, Zech 10.6-10, Jeremiah 30.3, 11
Many in the church deny that God has given this land to the Jews forever. They say it is “spiritual Jews” or today’s Christian Church. That is off the mark. The Bible means what it says literally first, spiritually second. In Jer 31 and Ez 36 the new heart is given. This is the new covenant. The promise of the land is eternal and it is the nature of Israel’s identity--where else could they live? This land is their history. You shall dwell in the land.

Jer 31.31-37 describes new covenant and Israel as a nation going together unconditionally. The Palestinians refuse to recognize the Jewish state: "They talk to us about the Jewish state, but I respond to them with a final answer: We shall not recognize a Jewish state," Abbas said at the U.N. How do you negotiate peace with this attitude? This denies facts of history. (This took place in Sept 2011) They want a Palestinian state. How can there be a double standard?

Jeremiah 31.31-37 is a key passage as to the land and nation of Israel. This controversy that divides the church will also divide nations politically at the end of the age and create a second holocaust. Jer 25.31, Is 34.8, Zech 14.1-2, Is 28.19, Ps 83.3-4, Rev 11.1-2, 19.10
The first disciples lived under the shadow of an imminent, age ending judgment of Jerusalem. The city was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD but it was not the end of the age. We are now coming full circle. This is why the gospel is to be preached to the entire world. Each generation has the potential to be the final generation--only God knows the time of the end of the age. Between 70 AD and 1967 AD there was no Jewish Jerusalem. We are the first to witness this Jewish presence on Jewish soil since the time of the Apostles.
We need to understand that the Bible was written for all generations. There is, however, only one final generation. That is why we have the testimony of the prophets concerning the end of the age and the final war over Jerusalem and Jewish existence. The end of the age will find these books showing us/them the way, and explaining what is happening before that generation’s very eyes. Those words and books describing the end are for those alive at the consummation of the age. This is what has been sealed up until the time of the end. Dan 12.9

Thy Kingdom Come

John 6:51-63...Transport yourself back to Jesus’ time when He looked the scribes and the Pharisee’s in the eye and said, “Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink His blood, you have no life in you.” What does the Torah say about drinking blood and eating flesh? It is not to be done!

He stunned the religious leaders of the day with this statement. He shook their legalistic world to it’s very foundation. He didn’t bother explaining it to them so they could understand it better, He just laid it out there. He didn’t sit down and have an academic discussion to further break it down for them to understand. He merely spoke the living word and let it pierce their hearts.

He is the living bread that comes down from heaven. Except we eat this bread (word) and drink this blood (spirit) we have no life in us. Jesus is the living Torah. Jesus is the living word. As Moshe lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so Jesus must be lifted up. In Him is salvation and the restoration of all things. In Him the world is transformed. The Kingdom is God is at hand!

The Lord is going to restore all things (Isaiah 52). The Sabbath will be restored. The Temple will be restored. Israel will be restored. Every nation and every tongue will be a part of this glorious restoration. Set your mind on the things above! This is going to go beyond our petty finite mind’s ability to understand. This is the coming Kingdom that is yet to be unveiled and is being unveiled in hearts everyday. Jerusalem will be a praise in all the earth! Lift up your eyes unto the heavens from whence comes your help. Get some heavenly vision! See beyond the veil of your understanding! The time table of our God is right on schedule. His Kingdom come, His will be done!

The prophets of old saw these things and spoke of them in days of old. Our God is calling us to rule and reign with Him. Religion, legalism, and the pride of man has no part in this. This is the work of the spirit of God and His Son Jesus Christ deep within our being. See the unfolding of the ages spread before you as a prophetic vista seen through the eyes of the Spirit. Sit down in heavenly places and place your thoughts and your ways at His feet! Let the earth be silent before Him!

This is the day of His Revelation. Hear Isaiah (55.3). Hear Daniel (12:3). Hear St. John the Revelator (3:12). He who has ears to hear, let him hear. Hear what the seven spirits say to the seven churches. The time of the Gentiles is coming to a close (Rev 4:1). The Kingdom is being established within His people and they will overcome the prince of the air, led by the Captain of Our Salvation (Isaiah 55:4).

All nations, kindred, and tongues will flow to Jerusalem. The Glory of our God, the Lord Jesus Christ will be the light of the city. There will be no night. There will be no sun, no light of the moon. The heavens will be ablaze with His light. The earth will be new and the government will flow like mighty rivers of water from Jerusalem. The universe will be ruled from Jerusalem! All will be restored. Lift your eyes toward the heavens and dream of the world to come. It is being established in the hearts of those who desire His return. Soon it will be our reality! This is the inheritance of His saints.

Hear Paul the apostle revel in the glory to come. He glimpsed it when he was taken up to the third heaven and saw things unspeakable (2 Corinthians 12:1-4). Peter saw it on the mountain of transfiguration. Elijah saw it and rode there in the chariot of God. David saw it and wrote of it in many Psalms. Ps 51:16, “Thou desire not sacrifice, else I would give it. Thou delight not in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart, O God thou wilt not despise…build thou the walls of Jerusalem.”

These petty things we spend countless hours debating will be made but dung. The power of God will put them all to rest forever. Look up! See Jesus. Hear Him speak. “ I will destroy this temple and in three days raise it up.” There is no more building. We are the temple of God.

You cannot put old wine into new wine skins. The new covenant is in the heart. The more you know Him, the more the heavenly scrolls are rolled open. The word, Jesus, becomes the light that men see. Let your light so shine among men. He is living among men, He is living in men. He quietly asks us to follow Him. To lay down our lives. This is the process that slowly unfolds as we yield to the wisdom and urging of the Holy Spirit. It is a painful process, but it is a liberating experience that allows the fragrance of Jesus to flow forth from us and draw all men unto Him. 2 Corinthians 2:14-16. Amen and Amen.

The Issachar Anointing
"And of the sons of Issachar, men who understood the times, with knowledge of what Israel should do, their chiefs were two hundred; and all their kinsmen were at their command."
- 1 Chronicles 12:32 NAS

Throughout the history of ancient Israel, the tribe of Issachar is portrayed as a family that was destined to prosper both physically and spiritually. The ancient Rabbis taught that the sons of Issachar were not only "mighty men of valor" (1 Chron. 7:1-5), but they were also called to serve the other tribes in the areas of finance and the ministry of God's Torah.

Financial Servant hood
Issachar's allotment of the Promised Land primarily consisted of the valley of Jezreel. This was the richest farm land in all Israel, which also had access to the Mediterranean Sea. Consequently, the sons of Issachar "drew out the abundance of the sea and the hidden treasures of the sand" (Deut. 33:18-19).

In their abundance, God called them to provide food to the whole of Israel as an "indentured servant" to their brethren among the other tribes (Gen. 19:14-15). The sons of Issachar would be similar to those living in the "bread basket" of America who provide food to the U.S. and the world.

Spiritual Servanthood
Issachar's spiritual prosperity was also evident among Israel. They were one of six tribes to stand on Mount Gerizim as part of the sacred blessing ceremony (Deut. 27:12). According to the Targum, they "excelled in the words of the law, and were endued with wisdom, and were obedient to their command." Their knowledge of God's word caused them to become the primary cultivators of Israel's spiritual treasures, and their counsel and interpretations of Scripture were received as authoritative.

Understanding the Times
According to the Targum, the sons of Issachar were also biblical astronomers and astrologers who kept track of the times and the seasons:

"and the sons of Issachar, who had understanding to know the times, and were skilled in fixing the beginnings of years, the commencement of months, and the intercalation of months and years; skillful in the changes of the moon, and in fixing the lunar solemnities to their proper times; skillful also in the doctrine of the solar periods; astrologers in signs and stars, that they might show Israel what to do." (Adam Clarke's Commentary, Biblesoft Electronic Database).

Their knowledge of the Torah and their understanding of the times made them keepers of the biblical calendar. Consequently, they were the ones who made known the appointed times and seasons of when Israel should observe the feasts of the Lord (Lev. 23). Since the Lord's Feasts reveal God's plan and timing of His redemption in Messiah, I believe it is clear that the sons of Issachar had an anointing which gave them a unique insight into God's timing of things past, present and future.

For example, during Israel's first civil war, when God was transferring the kingdom of Israel from Saul's rulership over to David, eleven of the twelve tribes were divided amongst themselves as to whom they would serve. Only the sons of Issachar, were united to the point that "all their kinsman" joined to fight with David (1 Chron. 12:23-32).

The sons of Issachar were able to totally commit themselves to David, because they understood that it was the time for God to fulfill His prophetic word given by Samuel 17 years earlier (1 Sam. 15:28). The Lord granted them an anointing to understand the prophetic timing for when He would tear the kingdom of Israel away from rebellious Saul and give it over to his servant David (1 Sam. 15:22-28).

With this anointing to understanding the times, they instinctively knew what to do, and they moved with God to establish David's kingdom. In a sense, they were forerunners of a renewed kingdom that was built on obedience to God instead of rebellion and sin. This brought them honor and prosperity according to earlier prophecies given by both Jacob and Moses (Gen. 49:14-15; Deut. 33:18-19).

The End-Time Sons of Issachar
As we approach the end of the age and the difficult times associated with it, the New Covenant church must become more and more like the sons of Issachar in its ability to understand the times and know what to do. We must learn how to draw on God's prophetic word to guide us through the chaos of the last days in preparation for His return (2 Pet. 1:19).

This suggests the need for a regular and on going Torah-based study of end-time Bible prophecy. The responsible study of Bible prophecy, under a balanced prophetic mantle, produces mature believers who are able to discern the times and respond to them in a Biblical fashion.

Therefore, we pray and believe that the Issachar anointing would be released upon the body of Messiah worldwide that His people might understand the times and know what to do. Amen!

GOD’S WAYS OF PROSPERITY

“I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit. Who leads you in the way you should go. If only you had paid attention to my commandments! Then your well being would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea…Go forth from Babylon!” Isaiah 48:17-18, 20

Before you allow a spirit of hopelessness to overcome you, it is important to note that the NWO conspiracy and the rise of Mystery Babylon has not caught God by surprise. In fact, God has recorded their plans in His word, so we would not be caught by surprise. It is clear that this unrighteous world system is built on the root sin of the love of money and it will ultimately fall under His judgment.

When this system finally collapses it is important that God’s people are separated from it. This is why God admonishes us to come out of her now before Babylon falls. Rev 18:1-5

SOME THINGS WE CAN DO...The following are some foundational keys to release God’s prosperity into the body of Christ:

1. Obey God’s Commandments - “Now it shall be , if you will diligently obey the Lord your God, being careful to obey all His commandments which I command you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. All these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you , if you will obey the Lord your God.” Deut 28:1-2 Read the entire chapter and compare to America today.

Moses makes it clear that one of the main benefits of obeying God’s word is prosperity:

“So keep the words of this covenant to do them, that you may prosper in all that you do.” Deut 29:9

2. Seek the Prosperity of Your Soul - “Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.” 3 John 1:2

Prosperity of soul comes through the study and application of God’s Word in our lives. Solomon says, “He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul.” Proverbs 19:16

If we understand God’s laws, commandments, statutes, precepts, judgments, and testimonies we will come into the fullness of that prosperity in our spirit, soul, and body.

3. Acquire Wisdom and Knowledge - When Solomon asked God for wisdom and knowledge he knew that he was committing himself to obey God’s commandments 2 Chronicles 1:11-12.

Solomon did not teach obedience to the Torah for salvation, but for length of days, peace and favor in the sight of God and man (Proverbs 3:1-4)

That is because the birthright of salvation has always been grace through faith in Jesus’ blood atonement on the cross (Lev 6:6-7, Eph 1:7, 2:8-9), but the blessings have always come through obedience to God’s laws (Torah) Gen 26:4-5.

4. Bless Israel and Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem - “I will bless those who bless you , and the one who curses you I will curse.” Gen 12:3

God promises His blessing on all those who follow His commandment to bless Israel, and to curse all those who curse Israel. He commands us to pray for the peace and prosperity of Jerusalem, and to “seek after Israel’s good for the sake of the house of the Lord” Ps 122:6-9. Also Isaiah 62:6-7 is a command to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

5. Honor the Lord with Your Wealth - “Honor the Lord from your wealth, and from the first of all your produce; so your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats overflow with new wine” Proverbs 3:9-10

This verse refers to the tithe, which belongs to the Lord. If we fail to give back to God the first fruits of our tithes then it and our whole lump becomes cursed (MALACHI 3:8-9)

We do not give out of the love of getting money/prosperity in return, but out of a heart of love for God.

6. Be Generous to the Poor - “He who is generous will be blessed, for he gives some of his food to the poor.” Proverbs 22:9

Ministering to the poor is one of the Lord’s most sacred works. In fact, Jesus was anointed and sent into this world to minister to the poor. Luke 4:18 Again, we are not preaching a prosperity gospel, but obey and give from a heart of love. There are many ways for God to prosper us beyond wealth and money.

7. Don’t Use Debt to Prosper - “Woe to him who increases what is not his…and makes himself rich with loans. Will not your creditors rise up suddenly and those who collect from you awaken? Indeed, you will become plunder for them.” Habakkuk 2:6-7

Every financial crises over the past century has been the collapse of one or more debt bubbles. When this happens, those who have leveraged their investments (real estate, stocks, bonds, etc.) hoping to ride the artificial inflation bubble higher and higher, have suffered huge loses.

No matter how well debt seems to work for obtaining material possessions; the borrower is still the slave to the lender. In a financial crises/shaking your creditors become your masters who rise up and confiscate your assets, and you become plunder for them.

8. Be Diligent - “Poor is he who works with a negligent hand, but the hand of the diligent makes rich.” Proverbs 10:4

The first place we are to exercise diligence is in keeping God’s Word. When we do this, God not only promises that we will prosper, but that we “shall stand before kings” Proverbs 22:29

9. Establish God’s Covenant in the Marketplace - “…remember the Lord you God, for it is He who gives power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers…” Deut 8:18

Establishing God’s covenant in the marketplace is paramount for financing the work of the ministry in these last days. Remembering God’s covenant forces us back to God’s model of learning and implementing His Torah (Law) when conducting business and trade.

Since the marketplace is the area of Lucifer’s original sin it is understandable why the business world is the most difficult area to walk in obedience to God’s commandments. The marketplace is a ministry because we are God’s messenger’s there.

In a sense our Lord was a businessman. He was a carpenter and did business with many people as he grew in favor and stature with God and man. If you are in the business world you have a ministry already.

10. No Dishonest Scales of Any Kind - “A false balance is an abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is His delight.” Proverbs 11:1

The most dishonest scale we have is our system of Fractional Reserve Banking. Cheating or not providing the full service of a business contract could also be called dishonest scales. Bribery, withholding wages, and taking unfair advantage of widows and orphans also are dishonest scales.

GOD PROSPERS THE RIGHTEOUS
As we walk all this out by faith, God’s righteousness manifests itself in our lives and finances. Proverbs 13:21

AN OVERVIEW OF THE CURRENT AND END TIME EVENTS TO COME - PART TWO

ORDO AB CHAO AND THE HEGELIAN DIALECTIC

Crises bring change, controlled crises brings controlled change. Ordo Ab Chao can be translated “order out of chaos.”
Another term is known as The Hegelian Dialectic. What is this? "...the State has the supreme right against the individual, whose supreme duty is to be a member of the State... for the right of the world spirit is above all special privileges." Author/historian William Shirer, quoting Georg Hegel in his "The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich "(1959, page 144)
Hegel's dialectic is the tool which manipulates us into a frenzied circular pattern of thought and action. Every time we fight for or defend against an ideology we are playing a necessary role in Marx and Engels' grand design to advance humanity into a dictatorship of the proletariat. The synthetic Hegelian solution to all these conflicts can't be introduced unless we all take a side that will advance the agenda. The Marxist's global agenda is moving along at breakneck speed. The only way to completely stop the privacy invasions, expanding domestic police powers, land grabs, insane wars against inanimate objects (and transient verbs), covert actions, and outright assaults on individual liberty, is to step outside the dialectic. This releases us from the limitations of controlled and guided thought. From Niki Raapana and Nordica Friedrich
This is what is happening in our world today. The elitist powers are attempting to move the world to their new controlled world domination. Rahm Emanuel, Obama’s former advisor was quoted as saying to never let a good crises go by without effecting change. Through financial crises and war the world is being moved toward the new order. The elite bankers are being bailed out by the world’s taxpayers. A great transfer of wealth is taking place right under our noses. Behind it all is the Accuser and his broadcast system. The New World Order is the counterfeit of the Millennial Order that God is going to bring. There is nothing new under the sun, what was will be, what will be was. This new order is one world socialism and we see the seeds in the Occupy Wall Street last year.
As an aside I would just like to mention that Henry Kissinger made a NWO speech in 2008 and Zbigniew Brzezinski made one in 1996 that you can look up on the net.

MARK OF THE BEAST

A quick look at technology today gives us a possible glimpse into the Mark of the Beast. Bio chips are now available that can be injected into our body under our skin that can detect various diseases in their early stages of development. People will want these to be protected. This type of technology can be used later in the beast system.
There is also an epidermal version that is being developed that is adhered to our skin for those who are adverse to the injection system. These are preludes to the beast system.
In Rev 13.15-17 we read: He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
The fullness of Mystery Babylon, or the NWO is religious, but you cannot buy or sell unless you have the mark. In Rev 17.7 we see the mystery of the beast that carries the woman…the woman is the religious system: But the angel said to me, “Why did you marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns.

SEVEN HEADS AND TEN HORNS

“Here is the mind which has wisdom: The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits. There are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, and the other has not yet come. And when he comes, he must continue a short time. The beast that was, and is not, is himself also the eighth, and is of the seven, and is going to perdition.

“The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. Rev 17.9-13

There are several interpretations of the above scripture. One is that the ten kings are the regionalization of the nations into trade zones that is currently taking place in the world today.
The ten kings are the ten economic regions which are then governed by a strong coalition of seven states or nations. This could be a streamlined European economic union of seven powerful nations that are the political headquarters for the ten economic regions. The woman that rides the beast or coalition of seven nations would then have to be a powerful religious system that unifies most of the world behind the power of the coalition of states.

Another scenario is that the European Union becomes ten powerful states that eventually clashes with Islam in a great war. Others believe the Islamic world will become the seat of the Antichrist.

We have to keep an eye on world economic and political developments and watch and pray. The nation of Israel, however, will be the focus of all the events that are to come. The Jews and the true believers in the Lord will experience difficult times during those days.

THE TRANSITION OF THE CHURCH
The true believers or “church” will go through a difficult transition during this time. The “world” church will be a more humanistic, social justice type of organization that is inclusive to all. There will be no “sin” to be repented of as this organization will be “all inclusive” and embrace all lifestyles and pagan ideals. They may speak of Christ, but will not exhibit the true power of the Holy Spirit. Man will be glorified and God will be of minimal importance. Sin will not be an issue with this apostate church.
True believers are exhorted to “come out of her” in Revelation 18.4. Most denominations, as we know them, will be incorporated into the “social justice” church. True believers will know each other in the Spirit. Believers will have to have a strong personal relation with the Lord and return to the pure word of God. This will be how we transition into the kingdom. The word of God will be our rock and key to discerning between false and true.
It is vital to understand the nature of the financial, political, and spiritual Mystery Babylon system. We need to understand our Hebraic roots and be able to join the Old Testament to the New Testament as one complete book rather than two separate books. See Ezekiel 37.15-22. The two sticks represent the gentile church and the children of Israel coming together as one new man.
Depart! Depart! Go out from there, touch no unclean thing; Go out from the midst of her, be clean, you who bear the vessels of the LORD. For you shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight; for the LORD will go before you, and the God of Israel will be your rear guard. Isaiah 52.11-12 This is how the children of Israel came out of Egypt. The Lord went before them and was their rear guard. This is how we will come out of the beast system.
The priests of the Lord bear the vessels of the Lord (we are the vessels) and they must come out and be purified. We must allow the Lord to lead us out of the world Babylonian system and cross over the Red Sea. This is done as community but must first begin with each individual getting to know the Lord in a deeper way. That trouble you are experiencing in your life is God’s way of getting your attention, working Christ into your nature, and preparing you for the trials to come.

AN OVERVIEW OF THE CURRENT AND END TIME EVENTS TO COME - PART ONE

There is nothing new under the sun...

“ That which has been is what will be, that which is done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun. Ecclesiastes 1.9

In the past we have talked about God’s time. God has a cycle of time here on the earth. Our season’s cycle around God’s calendar. That which has been will be again--there is nothing new under the sun. God has a holy, biblical, and prophetic calendar which is His appointed time. As history progresses man becomes more and more sophisticated and falls further and further away from God. To understand the present time we must understand the past.

NEW WORLD ORDER - SATAN’S METHOD OF ATTACK
We could say the first new world order was when Satan was cast down from heaven with one third of the angels. Satan’s first job was to rule the earth and bring it into God’s order. Satan became full of himself and thought his beauty and greatness was being compromised by his creator. He rebelled (Ezekiel 28.11-19 and Isaiah 14.12-23) and was cast down to earth. From that time on Satan has been trying to bring about a one world order that is a counterfeit world order to the one that God will establish in the millennial kingdom.

All of man’s history is really Satan attempting to establish a new or one world order that he controls. He is the spirit of the power of the air. He is a broadcaster in the air. He broadcasts his thoughts and plans to the minds of men. Men who have no understanding of the Torah (Bible, laws of God) are influenced by these broadcasts through the air. Just as we are led by God's Spirit, godless men are led by the spirit of the air!

Men who reject God’s word are ruled in their thoughts by Satan’s broadcasts. Satan rebelled from God and he bombards men with his rebellious thoughts. This why it is important to know God’s word. The Torah, the Bible is our plan of battle. We receive God’s broadcast through the air, through His word and Spirit. We answer our accuser through proper use of God's sword--His word.

The first New World Order of men is described in Genesis 11. This is where Nimrod began to build the tower of Babel high into the air. They wanted to reach into the heavens and become as God. They wanted to build a tower that would receive the accuser’s broadcast. This was not God’s appointed time. God confounded them and confused man with different languages. From there the original seventy nations spread out around the earth.

Since that time every generation of man has in some way attempted to create a one world order. We can simplify this the following way:

1. Nimrod and the Tower of Babel 2. Egypt and the Pharaoh’s 3. Later Babylon prior to and during Daniel’s time. 4. Medes and Persians 5. Greeks and Alexander the Great 6. Roman times

This is a very simple breakdown of course. Since Roman times we have had two thousand years of history during which all great kingdom’s desired to rule the known world. The Franks, the Roman Popes, the Muslims, the Hapsburgs, and Nazi Germany are just a few examples. In fact, we live in a very Greco-Roman centric society today. Most of our laws and way of governing are based on Greco-Roman ideas. Even our calendar, which the entire world uses, at least for business and communication, is based on the Roman Gregorian calendar.

God operates according to His calendar, which we have seen before, is Hebrew centric. The more we come to understand God’s calendar and time, the more we will understand what God is doing in the world today and the world which is to come (search this blog for information on God's calendar). We will continue to simplify our history to bring us up to date with today:

In the late 1700’s the NWO idea’s began consolidating with a group know as the Illuminati. These idea’s are what are known as Luciferian today. Simply, it is the idea that man can become as God (a deception based on our becoming sons of God) and that Lucifer is the bringer of light to man. Those who live according to this doctrine rebel against all that is truly of God and usually believe in various mythological gods and tales. They believe God cast Satan out of heaven because God was jealous of Lucifer.

There are many secret societies and groups that are heavily into this and they often are populated by what we would call the elitist’s of society. Simply put these people control our financial institutions and politicians. They may not all be involved in secret societies, but they have a common elitist attitude and work through organizations such as the United Nations which promote these ideals.

FINANCIAL CRISES AND WAR
1907 was a year of financial crises in America. J.P. Morgan and his fortune bailed out the country. In 1913 the Federal Reserve Bank was established by the elite bankers to prevent another financial collapse. They decided to take control of the U.S. currency. This law was unconstitutional but it passed congress and the “independent” central bank was authorized into law. Since that time up to today, the US dollar has lost 90% of its value.

In 1914 World War 1 started and afterwards in 1918 the League of Nations (an attempt at one world gov’t) was started. We see financial crises first and then war as the pattern. This pattern can be traced back to the ancient world. First financial crises then war. Look at the fall of the Roman empire as one example.

The 1920’s was the “roaring” decade in which debt and borrowing was highly encouraged. In Germany, where they were burdened with heavy monetary reparations for World War 1, the German Mark collapsed under the weight of these payments. Financial crises. Hitler came to power and waged the Second World War in revenge for the unfair treatment Germany experienced from the first war’s defeat. Once again financial crises and war. In fact the whole world experienced a depression prior to WW 2.

WW 2 started in 1939 and ended in 1945--the year the United Nations was formed. The world was transitioning into a NWO at this time. This transition continues to this day. Since 1945 there have been many financial crises and wars. These events break down society little by little--it takes decades, or millennia, for things to develop in God’s plan.

In 1948 the nation of Israel was founded with the help and blessing of the United Nations. Israel will be the central focus of the end times. Now after 2,000 years there is a Jewish homeland. God is moving toward the fulfillment of His plan. Israel is the fig tree that Jesus spoke about in Matt 24.32-35. End time events will be focused on the Jewish people and Jerusalem.

A BIBLICAL PROPHETIC GENERATION
Let’s take a moment to consider what a generation is according to God. Man considers a generation to be 40 years. Once again we must seek God’s word to find out what God considers a generation to be:

We look for two or three witness to establish a thing. This is what the Torah instructs. In Gen 5.32 we see: Noah was five hundred years old, and Noah became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Then in Gen 7.6: Now Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of water came upon the earth.

Noah had his sons when he was 500 years old. A hundred years later he entered the ark with his three sons. After the waters subsided Noah’s sons had their children. They birthed the next generation. You say, that’s a little weak. OK, we'll get another witness.

In Gen 15.16 Abraham is told the future of his descendants: God said to Abram, “Know for certain that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, where they will be enslaved and oppressed four hundred years. But I will also judge the nation whom they will serve, and afterward they will come out with many possessions. As for you, you shall go to your fathers in peace; you will be buried at a good old age. Then in the fourth generation they will return here, for the iniquity of the Amorite is not yet complete.”

There we see God telling Abraham his descendants will return to Canaan from Egypt in the fourth generation.

One more witness, again to Abraham in Gen 21.5: Now Abraham was one hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him. We see God establishing the next generation through Isaac. This is a biblical covenant generation--100 years! We have three witnesses in the word. God’s generations are 100 years. I like to look at this as God's "prophetic generation" rather than the life span of men.

Now just as a scenario, as an interesting possibility, lets go back to 1948 and the establishment of the nation of Israel. We see Israel as the fig tree in Hosea 9.10: I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your forefathers as the earliest fruit on the fig tree in its first season. But they came to Baal-peor and devoted themselves to shame, and they became as detestable as that which they loved.

We see God speaking of Israel as the early or green fruit on the fig tree when they were brought out of Egypt. Now in the Song of Solomon we see the groom calling to the bride: The fig tree puts forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grapes give a good smell. “Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away!” Song 2.13

The Lord is calling his young tender bride, the fig tree with the green or ripe figs, to rise up and come away! Jesus said in Matt 24.34...“This generation shall not pass until all these things come to pass.”

Could this mean the Lord will return some time before 2048? Could all these things be fulfilled in this tender generation of the nation of Israel? I’m not saying it will--I don't date the second coming-but it should encourage us that we are living near the end of the age.

Today we see financial crises and war moving the world towards a one world order. We also see a war on terror that is eroding our personal freedoms in the USA, ie, the Patriot Act and the NDAA bill that was recently signed allowing the president to arrest any American even suspected of terrorism. Our freedoms are being eroded and Americans are unaware.

One more interesting scripture from Hosea 6.1-2: Come, and let us return to the LORD;
For He has torn, but He will heal us; he has stricken, but He will bind us up. After two days He will revive us; on the third day He will raise us up, that we may live in His sight. It has been 2,000 years or two days since the Lord was resurrected from the dead. We are now in the morning of the third day, the 21st century begins the third day.

Present World Crisis

Edited from an article by Seeley Kinne

Seeley D. Kinne was born in 1858 in New York State. He grew up on his parent’s farm and was the eldest of seven children. Seeley lived with his wife and family for a time in Avoca, New York, boarding at the Gilbert’s residence on Church Street. They were members of the Pentecostal Assembly in Avoca, where he often spoke.
In November of 1932, Seeley pastured the Adullum Assembly in Rochester, New York when He wrote:
Some regard us as fanatical. We are the clearest of excessive and disorderly workings that I have seen, so as to be free from bondages of almost every kind. True, we have dancing, singing, praising, and various spiritual exercises. To an onlooker that might seem boisterous; but to participate is to find the touch of God.”
Recently a blue cloud of glory has been seen in the upper part of the hall, which seems similar to the appearance at the dedication of the Tabernacle (in the Wilderness) and the Temple (of Solomon).”
It is said that we do not have two meetings alike. There is always something new and fresh. Sometimes we have a meeting in which exhortation follows exhortation. On another occasion, prophetic utterances predominate. At other times, a meeting will be characterized by impressive testimonies, while on still another occasion, there is a mighty stream of prayer in the Spirit, which occupies the time wholly.”
Kinne remained in Rochester as pastor until he resigned in July 1933 at the direction of the Lord. Seeley D. Kinne went to the West coast in 1944, where he lived in the home of his daughter for the last 6 years of his life. He passed into the presence of our Lord in 1950 at 91 years of age.
Seeley Kinne was a prophetic seer, who “saw” and had understanding far beyond the time in which he lived. During his life, he wrote many books, and articles. Edited excerpts from his writings are being made available here, as they are a “present word” to those who desire to go beyond that which is presently available.
He had a unique way to express eternal truth, which will both bless and edify those who read herein. Amazing how timely his message is in our day!
Present World Crisis

We have crossed the threshold of the “Day of the Lord.” Mighty upheavals are at hand, as it is the close of the Gentile era. The entire structure of man-made governments, businesses, and religions, are ready for judgment by Almighty God Himself.

The God of Heaven is setting up His Stone Kingdom, an unending and indestructible order. Its princes and rulers are prophetic overcomers. They are presently, like Moses, in the backside of the desert; or like Joseph, in prison; or like David, in the wilderness; or like Daniel, in heathen dissolute courts; or like Paul, in Arabia.

These are hidden in the “School of Christ,” presently being tested and tried, and by fire, purified. They will come forth at the appointed time as sanctified vessels, prepared for the Master’s use.

In the schools of men, there are grades or degrees of attainment. So also in the Ecclesia, the school of God. Many attain to the 30 fold, some to the 60 fold, and a few to the 100 fold. There is a depth of divine power and spiritual authority that is lacking in present day spiritual vision and experience. Indeed, there were privileges enjoyed in the first Ecclesia (early Church) which are so completely lost, that it is not known what they were.

That these may again be known and enjoyed, restoration is prophesied to occur in the last days, in connection with the return of Jesus Christ. This restoration will include all that was in the first Ecclesia, and much more, which has been foretold. There will be, a depth and completeness of salvation to the uttermost; spirit, soul, and body. There will be “overcomers” perfected, and given power over nations, as restored apostolic ministries. But only to the extent that all is yielded to the Lord.

“And he that overcomes, and keeps My works to the end, to him will I give power over the nations: And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of My Father.” Revelation 2:26

There is an urgent need for a greater revelation of the Sovereignty of God, which will cause man to see his insignificance, and cause him up to seek help only from his Maker. This will release “Divine Intervention.” Many times, down through the ages, God has stepped into man’s activities and interposed His plans and ways.

Intervention originates in God and is an interposition by God. It speaks of God coming between and taking the initiative. Little progress in spiritual life can be made unless the Holy Spirit becomes our Teacher and Guide.

One must have direct continued leading of the Holy Spirit to reveal the steps, and to carry one through His act of Intervention.

“And the Lord shall guide you continually….” Isaiah 58:11

PREPARE

The U.S. was once the moral leader of the world when our belief in God was the basic conscious of the nation. Today the U.S. is considered a bully on the world scene.

Our monetary policies affect the world in many ways because we are the reserve currency of the world. We dictate trade, loans, and the price of basic commodities like food and fuel by the value of our dollar. A strong dollar brings financial stability to the nations.

We dictate through foreign aid and through loans to other countries through organizations like the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. Our moral collapse has had a negative affect on the nations. One of the things we are doing in the Obama administration (in other administrations too) is to tie loans to how the nation receiving the loan conducts their domestic policies. We tie loans to “human rights” demands such as providing abortion on demand and gay/lesbian marriage. If the nation refuses they don’t get the loan.

Wall St. has become so corrupt that nations do not trust our monetary policies. If a nation doesn’t do what we want we threaten with trade sanctions, foreign aid, and other means. These days we seem to aid our enemies and deny our friends!

Our domestic monetary policy of debasing the dollar causes food and other basic commodity prices in poor countries to skyrocket. Many Egyptians subsist on about $4 a day. If we debase the dollar making it less valuable their purchasing power goes down. America doesn’t care how other nations are affected. We have had Treasury Secretaries say that other nations will have to worry about what to do--it’s our dollar!

American sanctions against Iran aren’t working because the nations in that region of the world are trading with Iran in gold and their own currencies, totally skirting the U.S. dollar. Russia, China, Iran, India, and other nations are trading with each other in gold and their own currencies. They are tired of US dominance and are planning to establish other platforms of trade. These platforms will be designed to eliminate the use of the dollar. The new currencies will be based on a semi-gold standard which will work to stabilize the currency.

In Britain from the late 1600’s thru the early 1800’s the interest rates on trade and loans was always stable at 4.5%. This was because the pound sterling was backed by the gold standard. It was the greatest time of expansion of the British empire. Business knew what to expect and government could not debase money as long as they were on the gold standard.

The following quote by “Jim Willie“ says it all: “The US Fed monetary policy has aided the big Western banks, but at the expense of most every nation of the world, lifting food and energy prices. The capital destruction tied to the US Fed actions knows no borders. Worse, for the first time in human history, a major military predator has ravaged the world, with the war costs paid for by the same targeted nations of the world, including the victims themselves. The world has begun to call a halt to funding the US Military that operates on the US Dollar credit card.”

There are many obscure behind the scenes things taking place on the world scene that would take hours to discuss. The truth is that the sins of the US have created the financial stress that is coming. Our foreign policy is a vain attempt to prop up the US dollar system. The world has had enough. Read the book of 2 Chronicles. We are just like ancient Israel.

We make political alliances to further our agenda at the expense of others, our system has become corrupt, we have no regard for the laws of God, nor do we trust Him any longer. We export immorality rather than goodness. Read Deut 28 for the blessings and curses of nations who act like the U. S.

Whether we like it or not global changes are coming that will change life in America forever. If we turn to God during this time we have a chance. If not, then we will go into captivity to the nations that rise up against us. As believers we need to prepare our hearts through seeking and obeying the Lord in all areas of our lives. Prepare, prepare, prepare!

JESUS AND MONEY

The following notes are from the book “Jesus and Money” and serve as a guide for our preparation for the days to come.

Factors that led to poverty in Jesus’ world
Famine and crop failure were common. Slavery, the intricate web of patron-client relationships that made it impossible to get ahead in life unless one was well connected; the oppression of being under foreign rule, the enormous tax burden and theft of land that entailed, the highly patriarchal character of society, which limited women’s roles and often prevented them from accumulating wealth, all were major factors. Then add to this the basic human greed and other forces at work in a fallen world. It was a difficult life.

Only about 10% of those who lived in Jesus’ time were literate. Jesus could read Hebrew (Luke 4:14-19) which is unusual since early Jews in Galilee spoke Aramic rather that Hebrew. This shows Jesus’ piety, as he knew where to find the verses in Isaiah as the scroll was handed to him. The Torah has no chapter or verse--just writing.

Concepts from Jesus and Money
God is the creator of--and owner of all things.

We own nothing--we are God’s stewards.

Even though we have worked to acquire our own things we don’t “own” them. We are stewards.

The love of money is the root of all kinds of evil--not the money itself.

Wealth can be a potential spiritual stumbling block.

What we do with our surplus money reveals a lot about our true character. 2 Corinthians 8-9

Simplify your life-style.

We are blessed so we can be a blessing to others.

The goal of the Christian life is not success or prosperity, but “Godliness with Contentment”.

We must be wary and take a cautious approach to the issues of money and possessions.

The same epistles which condemn greed as idolatrous also commend provision for oneself and family as a duty #1

Develop a good sense of the differences between luxuries and necessities.

“Hang out with the holy rollers, not the high rollers.” We often become like those we admire.

Our economic system is in a “fallen sinful state.”

We are a consumer economy that needs to begin producing.

Consumer and competitive drives are two obvious dynamics in our culture.

Consumer mentality is a form of self focus and self centeredness.

Don’t choose a church on “What you can get out of it,” but on where you can best serve.

We are always wrestling with ourselves over the issues of greed and lust.

There is danger in becoming en-meshed in a wicked economic system for the sake of becoming rich. Our current system of banking and wall street is based upon debt and leverage--it is very self centered and functions on greed and lust. It enslaves people and nations to debt. Observe the western world’s current debt crises for an example.

Rome’s economy was based on slavery--similar to today’s debt. Paul felt the early church should deconstruct the very basis of Rome’s economy of slave labor--we are “brothers in Christ.” The Old Testament made provision for the cancellation of debt every seven and fifty years. Leviticus 25 This allowed freedom from being sold as a slave or worker for a person’s entire life. It redeemed family land sold to another. It encouraged freedom from debt and paying of interest.

The reason for the Jubilee was to prevent a permanent system of economic classes. The Jubilee had a leveling effect on Israel’s culture. It gave everyone a chance to start over, economically and socially. God wants men to be free.

This was God’s grace to His people Israel. They were not to take advantage of each other or strangers. They were not to treat each other harshly. If not redeemed by immediate family after the seven years period, they were given their freedom and/or land back in the fifty year Jubilee.

We too need to treat our brothers like this in the church and society. God desires to see true justice on earth--not practices that lead people and nations into bondage.

Giving allows those who receive to give praise and thanksgiving to God. This is a great witness to the world.

The New Testament world was based on an honor and shame culture. Paul wanted those who could only give a small amount not to feel shamed. 2 Corinthians 8:11

PREPARING FOR FINANCIAL CRISES AND CHAOS

“A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.” Proverbs 22.3

Those with eyes to see and ears to hear understand that we are rapidly heading toward a fiscal crises and chaos in

America and throughout the world. The national debt in America is quoted as being 17 trillion dollars. That does not include the many medical and retirement promises that some economists say equal 120 trillion dollars or more!

To get your head around a trillion dollars let’s use an example. One trillion seconds would equal 31,688 years! That in itself is mind boggling. There is no way America can overcome this kind of debt. We are headed for a collapse of the dollar, hyperinflation, social unrest, martial law, and a loss of our hard won freedoms. How did we get here?

THE END OF THE BRETTON WOODS AGREEMENT

At the end of World War Two the world was put on a gold backed financial system fashioned at Bretton Woods, N.H. The US dollar eventually became the strongest currency in the world due to our victory. In 1965 French president Charles de Gaulle began demanding payment in gold for the dollars his nation held. In 1971 President Nixon decided to get America off the gold standard in order to prevent a run on our gold reserves.

In order to do this and maintain America’s currency superiority the gold had to be replaced with something else. A deal was made with Saudi Arabia that would change the world. The US agreed to provide military protection for the House of Saud in exchange for oil. The deal was that the Saudi’s would only sell oil priced in US dollars. This meant that any country purchasing oil had to purchase with dollars. This maintained and expanded the power of the dollar and the ability of the US to finance it’s ever growing debt.

Any country that wished to purchase oil had to have dollars. This meant they had to purchase US Treasury bonds in order to have the capital to buy oil on the international markets. This was the beginning of what is now known as the “petrol dollar”. America now had a currency backed by a commodity every nation needed without the inherent financial restraints of a currency based on gold. The US could now print money at will and wage currency wars with other nation’s economies based upon this edge in the market place.

Our economy was now fueled by debt creation. Our expansion as the richest nation on earth was fueled by credit. Soon jobs were shipped overseas, to increase profit margins, as the dollar lost value through the inflation this open credit card provided. This is a simple, but effective explanation of how we have arrived at this point.

EROSION OF THE DOLLAR

It has taken us 40 years to get to this point. Our dollar is rapidly losing its value. Our jobs have been shipped overseas and our largest creditors (China, Japan) have decided to purchase less and less of our debt. The result of this is that the Federal Reserve Bank is now creating money out of thin air to finance our debts. Without going into the financial collapse of 2008 we also see the Fed bailing out the banks. Wall Street has become a casino. Cheap money forces banks to look for higher returns elsewhere which means higher risk. When these investments went bad the tax payer bailed out the banks. Note also that the Federal Reserve is not a US government agency--It is a privately owned bank.

Nothing has changed, nothing has been repaired. The can is being kicked down the road. Europe is going through financial withdrawal and pain as their currency and debt crises escalates. This contagion will soon be coming to America. All eyes are currently on Europe. Once the crises in Europe is resolved America will go through the same riots and unrest we now see in Europe. Hyperinflation, riots, and chaos will ensue.

GOLD BECOMES CURRENCY

The western world is now in so much debt that paper currencies are becoming worthless. For centuries gold has been the real source of wealth and preservation of wealth. When nations were on the gold standard in the past they prospered. A gold standard demands discipline of a nation and prevents a nation from creating excess debt. Why? Because all debts are payable in gold. Once off the gold standard nations print money. This causes inflation and price instability. Politicians hate the gold standard--it limits their ability to make promises. Financial discipline is required under the gold standard.

A great transfer of wealth is now taking place on a world wide scale. As the west sinks in debt the “smart money” is going into gold. China, Russia, India, Iran, and many other “eastern” nations have ordered their central banks to buy gold on the international market. They are anticipating the collapse of the west. A future world currency is going to be backed by gold--and these nations will have the gold. (Many intriguing things are currently taking place in these markets that I won’t mention here.) America will in effect, become a third world country, our power diminished.

In order to finance our debt the US and Europe have been selling their gold reserves on the international market. The eastern nations are the buyers. China has been buying massive amounts of gold as they prepare, along with Russia, to step in with a gold backed currency at the demise of the USA. Gold is becoming currency. This is what has always happened throughout history. Wealth is being transferred from West to East. The world order is about to change.

GOD’S PATTERN OF PREPARATION

God does not desire that His people be caught by surprise. The prudent servant should be making preparations. God has always had His people prepared and provided for. The following are a few brief examples:

NOAH

It took Noah a hundred years to build the ark and prepare provisions for all those aboard. God even had Noah prepare ahead for His future purposes. Of all the clean animals Noah took them in by sevens. God was looking ahead as Noah would need extra animals in order to prepare a sacrifice unto the Lord when the waters receded. Genesis 7.2-3; 8.20

JOSEPH

We all know about Joseph. His preparation saved Israel and the known world. It established Egypt as a world power and provided Israel a “hiding place” in Goshen during the famine. Gen 39-50

JEREMIAH

Jeremiah was told to bury a deed for family property in a field in order to show the people that after captivity in Babylon they would return and once again purchase property in the land. This act also protected his family for the future. Jeremiah 32

AGABUS

In the New Testament the prophet Agabus prophesied of a coming famine on the land. Immediately the disciples took up a collection for the brethren in Jerusalem. This would enable the believers there, to purchase ahead of time, the provisions they would need to sustain them in this trying time.

We haven’t even discussed the curses on a nation turning from God in Leviticus 26 and Deut 28. These are all happening to America: Drought, loss of power, becoming the tail not the head, and indebted to other nations.

In all these examples “God Provided” for His people. He provided for them by encouraging them to take preventative action for a future coming event. He provided for them through His people. This is how God works. When our provision is depleted, then we will see God work miracles like He did with Elijah and the widow woman. Today God has raised up watchmen who are sounding the alarm. To be a house of refuge, now is the time to take the appropriate actions that will allow us to be providers to our brethren, and not a burden on those who have prepared in advance.

THINGS TO DO

1.
Get Out of Debt - As believers we should not be in debt because we are buying things. We need to live within our means. This requires discipline. We can’t just buy whatever we want, whenever we want. A house payment and a car payment are necessary for us to live in society today. Other than debt for a college fund for our kids we should not be accruing debt. If at all possible it would be wise to concentrate on paying off our mortgages. Being debt free will take a lot of pressure off of us during times of financial crises.

2. Save - Make an attempt to save. Instead of buying lots of stuff we should be saving for our kids education or to pay down our mortgages. One extra mortgage payment a month saves a lot of money in interest over the years. That savings can be put to better use.

3. Invest - In times of financial crises it is tough to save. Anyone who has money in the bank at this time should seriously consider investing in silver and gold bullion. Precious metals are protection against the devaluation of our currency. In this day we are seeing the destruction of the dollar and those whose savings are in paper will lose not only buying power, but perhaps all their savings. We are living in a very dangerous and unusual time in America.

4. Give - Along with investing we should be giving to the Lord’s work. This type of giving is a form of investing--investing in God! We should give (tithe) to our church and to other ministries which the Lord directs us to give. God will bless us in His own way if we obey.

5. Pray -We should be seeking Yeshua for His direction and guidance in all our ways--including financial. Joseph was a forerunner--a man who prepared for crises. He was tried by Adonai and when his word came he was ready to act. We all need to have a little Joseph insight and preparation.

6. God will Provide - God will provide our needs. God, however, expects us to see the coming storm and prepare. The fool built his house on sand, the wise will build on the Rock. Historically God provides for His people through His people, Joseph being the prime example. When we have prepared and weathered the first blast of the storm then God will step in and provide miraculously for us just as He did with Elijah.

As the financial crises begins to unfold we need to prepare. We don’t need to hoard, but we should stock up on basic needs for a one to three month period. Those who are called on to be Joseph’s should heed the Lord and act accordingly. Those who have not prepared will be provided for by those who have prepared. Yes, God is providing, but instead of being those who are prepared and ready to step into the gap, we become a burden on those who have prepared. If we desire to be a place of refuge, than we need to function in the Joseph anointing.
