PROBLEMS WITH THE U.S. ECONOMY AND IMMIGRATION SYSTEM

Looking at America’s debt from a Biblical view is quite sobering. Deuteronomy 28 lays out both blessings and curses upon the nation. Blessings for obedience and curses for disobedience. As the nation falls away and becomes apostate the nation will face many calamities.

The stranger that is within thee shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low. He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail. Deuteronomy 28.43-44

This is exactly the place we are in with our national debt of over $21 trillion dollars. This only represents the debt we owe the nations. Three trillion is owed to China alone. When we count social security and other welfare programs I’ve seen figures higher than $250 trillion. This is a staggering amount of debt that will never be paid off—EVER!

To give you an idea of how much a trillion is: If we counted backwards a trillion seconds we would go back to the year 30,000 B.C.! If we look at “money” compared with height, a million dollars would be 4 inches high stacked—a trillion dollars would be 63 miles high! https://ihtd.org/festivalguide/resources/how-much-is-a-trillion-dollars/

The other amazing fact above in Deuteronomy is how the stranger within us will get up above us. This is exactly what is happening in America today. Read Deuteronomy 28 and Leviticus 26 and you will understand what is coming.

In the Bible, Israel made provision for the stranger but the stranger had to love the country and accept the God of Israel in order to immigrate. If they did so, they were considered to be a full citizen and were only then accepted a member of a tribe. Examples of this are found in the book of Ruth and Ezekiel 47.22-23.

Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to YHWH, to serve him, and to love the name of YHWH, to be His servants, every one that keeps the Sabbath from polluting it, and takes hold of my covenant; Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon my altar; for mine House shall be called the House of prayer for all people. YHWH Elohim which gathers the out casts of Israel says; Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him” (Isaiah 56:3-8).

They did not allow criminals, enemies, and ungodly people immigrate. They had controls. There is nothing wrong with controlling immigration and weeding out the criminals. We are a nation of immigrants but if you allow criminals and enemies within your gates you are in trouble.

Our country is going through a period of lawlessness and apostasy. The prayers of God’s people are holding off the judgment that is surely coming. At some point our economy and the US dollar with crash and our faith in Yahweh will be tested as a people and a nation.

Our politicians are only interested in pandering to special interest groups and enriching themselves by “giving stuff away.” We all know this. Our entire system is being judged. The only way it can be reformed is for it to crash. What kind of reform will we see?

Will it be righteous reform or will the unjust and wicked prevail? It is very difficult for me to be optimistic about what is coming. It may shake out alright in the end but getting there is going to be hell.

As believers we should be concerned with getting our houses in order. We should not be going into debt to buy stuff. If you are living beyond your means now is the time to get a handle on your finances. Live within your means and pay off as much debt as possible. Get your spiritual life in order. Get to know the Father. Read the word and study it. In a time of crises the assemblies that know the word will have great influence on the population.

There are too many false teachings and prosperity assemblies out there. They are not preparing people for difficult times but are enriching themselves through their teachings. Find a place built on a rock!

The nation is heading for a fall. We do not wish it to come but it must. We have turned from God as a nation and as a Father He must chastise us. It is coming. Now is the time to prepare and get right physically and spiritually. If we are sincere we can to that.

You know it is coming. If you are tuned into the Father you know it in your spirit. Take action before it all comes tumbling down. Prepare. We, as God’s people, will come together in extraordinary ways in time of crises. We will surprise ourselves if we are prepared. We will be tried like gold and the Lord will be glorified and uplifted before the nation.

Below are some articles on the state of the economy. From here on we are going to have a wild ride on the stock markets, the dollar will go down in value, goods and services are going to rise—inflation, and lawlessness will increase as the economy begins to shake.

David and Goliath - An End Time View - by Hayden Olsen, New Zealand

I'm not sure who Mr. Olsen is, but I found this on the net a couple years ago and think it is worth sharing.

Recently, after reading the account of this historic meeting between David and Goliath, I was struck by the significance of it's message concerning the end time period that we are entering into.

Far more than a children's story, this account speaks of the collision of two kingdoms. The kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan. There are a number of times in the Scriptures that we witness such a dramatic encounter between these two kingdoms. We may think of the time of Moses and the exodus from Egypt, the plagues and the Red Sea. We may think of Joshua and Jericho - or Elijah on Mt. Carmel. Then of course there is the Lord Jesus Himself and the many occasions of His demonstrating the kingdom.

In all these events we see something of the nature of these two opposite kingdoms, and of the superiority of God's kingdom over Satan's. We may also learn something concerning our own lives and of the conflict we face from day to day. Each of these historic events may teach us of the things God wants us to know and the victory He wants us to share.

We are coming to a time when we shall witness another great collision between God's kingdom and Satan's. No doubt it shall be as great, if not greater than all the others that have preceded it. And it shall be a time when once again, God displays His all-surpassing greatness and dominion over Satan.

To this end our spirit's cry, 'Come Lord Jesus'. As we read in 1 Sam. 17 of the battle between David and Goliath we can first of all see that there are three principal characters which may represent three different peoples.

Firstly there is Goliath and the Philistines. They represent the world, or more specifically unredeemed, rebellious man. There is something about them which may be encompassed by the term, 'The spirit of this age'. There they stand, full of defiance and mockery. Willfully and arrogantly railing accusations upon God and His people. They represent man, in the fullness of self-power and self-glory.

This is the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil come to maturity. The Pride of Life that looks down upon God from its own lofty height. The fullness of man which seeks to be 'as God' and even to destroy all that is of God in his quest to have dominion of the earth.

We may notice in the description of Goliath that there is reference to the number six. The number of man. He was six cubits in height, he had six pieces of armor, and his spearhead weighed six hundred shekels. We could say that he represents everything that the term 'antichrist' may speak of, as he stands there mocking all that is of God and calling God's people into battle.

As we look out upon the world today we can see Goliath readying himself again. We can hear the challenges ringing out saying, 'Where is your God' and the accusations pouring forth to belittle the church and call her to war. This has always been the very essence of that antichrist spirit.

The second character in this story is King Saul and his army. This group represent the people of God, but they are the people of God under the dominion of the flesh. They are a defeated company. They stand there facing Goliath, fearful, intimidated and without anointing or strength from God. We may ask, 'Why is this?.. How can it be?'

How can the people of God find themselves in this kind of a situation and such a condition? The answer is, that although they are the people of God they are still ruled and controlled by the spirit of this world. They are under the dominion of King Saul - the flesh. Let us take a look at them.

They stand there in all their worldly armor. They are fitted out with everything that the world counts for something. They have their horses and chariots and weapons of flesh - and of course they have their king who stands so tall above the rest. They look just like all the other nations in so many ways.

I cannot help wondering how many of our denominations and church organizations are just like the armies of Saul. They are full of the ways of the world and their strength comes from money, organization, and the power of the flesh. We see in them the same spirit of this world that promotes itself with gimmicks, sales techniques and all manner of human ability.

There is also another characteristic that is common to the Saul church. That is, disobedience to the word of the Lord. King Saul cared more for the outward appearances of success and power than for obedience to God's word. He would obey God as long as it suited him and as long as it didn't threaten his own ambitions and desires to be successful in the eyes of the people.

It is the same today in the denominations. Success power and outward appearances are the most important considerations. God's will and His purposes are often compromised for the sake of human interest and human traditions.

For that reason they will stand alone on that day that Goliath confronts them. They will discover that Goliath is far stronger in terms of this world than they are themselves, and they will realize that they are no match for him. How frightening it will be on that day... although today they are so full of their own strength and hypnotized by their own praises and positive confessions.

Thank God there is a third group in this story. It is the group that is characterized by David. Yes, David was one of the people of God. But he wasn't a part of Saul's army. In the same way today there is a third group. They are scattered around. They have no special organization or place to call their own. Yet they have two distinguishing characteristics that set them apart; they have a heart after God and...they are not of King Saul.

This David company, like David of old, is small, insignificant, unimpressive and unimportant. Yet God's hand is upon them.

David was out in the wilderness tending his sheep when the call came to enter into the battle lines. He was doing that which God has placed in his care - even though it was insignificant and outwardly of little importance.

In the same way today there are those that ask, 'What are you doing for God? What has come of your leaving the system?' They measure everything by outward considerations and spend their lives racing around, organizing great things for God, yet in the end accomplishing little.

David knew nothing of Saul's ways. He hadn't been in any of Saul's training schools. He didn't know how to even polish his armor let alone wear it into battle. All David knew, he had learned out there amongst the ordinary circumstances of daily life. He had learned the simple things of truth, love and faithfulness. He had learned how to walk with God each day. But this is God's way. He always takes the lowly things, the foolish things, and the things that are not, to bring to nothing the things that are.

Likewise God is preparing a people today. They are nothing now. Some have left denominations, some are still amongst them wondering why it is that they no longer feel a part of it all any more. They can no longer get excited by the latest seminar or out-reach. Instead they sigh and groan at the lack of God's presence in the church, and they are grieved by the way human power has filled the gap.

When David arrived on the scene, he had no organization backing him. There were no credentials or any such thing. There was only the anointing. God knew where He wanted David to be. God brought things together as He always does.... in the fullness of time.

David could stand before Goliath because God was with him. Nothing more and nothing less. His spirit was stirred against this monster. David was not afraid. He knew that there was one far greater who was standing with him.

When David spoke to Goliath to challenge him, it was not so much David speaking as God Himself speaking. When David took the stone and placed it in his sling, again it was God choosing and preparing. When David sent his stone flying toward it's mark, it was God guiding it to just the right place.

Such is the way with all true ministry. It is God in man doing the work and bringing forth the fruit.

There are many today who are trying to achieve great things for God. They are using all of this world's resources to try and do it. Yet God is not doing it. They imagine that human effort is the key to divine fruitfulness. They have missed God's way completely.

God desires a people who are dead to man's ways and man's methods as far as kingdom work is concerned. He is preparing a people who will wait for Him, and move as He moves them, and who will work according to His power that works in them mightily. It may take Him a long time to get a man or woman to that place... yet God has time.

That day is coming when that great conflict will arrive. Which company will we be a part of? Will it be Goliath's? or King Saul's?... or will it be David's?

It may be hard to say right now, but the day will declare it. Nothing is surer. That day will declare it. For then we shall find ourselves in the place that our hearts have chosen.

Let us call upon the Lord today, while it is still today... asking Him to change our hearts and take us into that David company. May we seek to learn to walk with God and be faithful unto all that He may call us to. May we learn the ways of humility and be satisfied with simply living before Him each day. May we also be careful to remain free from the ways of King Saul.

Praise God for His all-surpassing greatness and glory.

An In-depth Review of One New Man in Y'shua
I am posting this article on the One New Man by Andrew Gabriel Roth a Jewish born believer in Y'shua the Messiah. This is an excellent scriptural explanation of Jew and Gentile coming together as one new man. Check out his website for excellent resources:

And it shall come to pass, that ye shall divide it by lot for an inheritance unto you, and to the strangers that sojourn among you, which shall beget children among you: and they shall be unto you as born in the country among the children of Israel; they shall have inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel.

And it shall come to pass, that in what tribe the stranger sojourneth, there shall ye give him his inheritance, saith the Lord God. Ezekiel 47.22-23

Throughout Torah one can find mention of the stranger, alien, sojourner or temporary resident (ger toshav) who joins him or herself with Israel and becomes part of the Israel of Elohim, as one people. “One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the ger (temporary resident)that toshav (sojourns) among you” (Sh’mot/Ex. 12:49).

Regardless as to what Christian and Rabbinical traditions say, Torah tells us that the Ger belongs to YHWH just as much as those who are as blood line Jews or Israelites. Even King Dawid referred to himself as a Ger.

“Hear my prayer, O YHWH, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a Ger (temporary resident) with you, and a Toshav (sojourner), as all my fathers were” (Psalm 38:12). When Dawid says “all of my fathers” he means his fathers going back to Adam, Noach, Awraham, Yitzkhakh, Ya’akov.

All who enter into the Kingdom of Elohim are considered Ger Toshav; all were/are strangers and aliens to this world as Rav Shaul said of Awraham: “By faith Awraham, when he was called, obeyed and departed to the place which he was to receive for an inheritance: and he departed while he knew not whither he was going. By faith he became a resident in the land that was promised him as in a foreign land; and abode in tents with Yitz’chak and Ya’akov, the heirs with him of the same promise. For he looked for the city that has a foundation of which the builder and maker is Elohim” (Hebrews 11:8-10).

That foreign land that Rav Shaul refers to is a type of the Malchut (Kingdom of) Elohim as it pertains to the Olam Haba (world to come). All of YHWH’s people are pilgrims and sojourners when it comes to the Kingdom of Elohim as the Kingdom is outside of this world’s system.

Whether Jews or non-Jewish souls, it is irrelevant from which background a person enters. There was a “mixed multitude” (erev rav) at Mt. Sinai who fled Egypt along with Israel. Rabbis even suggest that Torah was given in 70 languages so the “mixed multitude” and all nations could hear and understand Torah. Torah states that the “mixed multitude” who sojourned with Israel entered into Life, not as second class citizens but as equals who are considered the SpecialTreasure of YHWH.

Neither Calev nor Ruth were Jewish by birth, however, they both fulfilled extremely important roles in the Kingdom of Elohim, indicating that YHWH and His Mashiyach have made a place for all souls to enter into the common good of the Kingdom of Elohim.

Throughout the prophets, especially in Isaiah who addresses this theme most often, there is considerable mention of the role that Gentiles play in the Malchut Elohim. After revealing the Netzer in Isaiah 11, Isaiah goes on to say, “And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Goy (Gentiles) seek: and his rest shall beglorious” (Isaiah 11:8).

Goy is used in Scripture to denote nations, heathen, Gentiles or people; when Greeks came to follow Y’shua they were no longer referred to as Goy (Gentiles), but as Elohim fearers.

“I YHWH have called you in righteousness, and will hold your hand, and will keep you, and give you for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house” (Isaiah 42:6, 7).

YHWH showed Isaiah how the Gentiles were to be brought out of paganism and all manner of false religion, and offered a heritage along with the Jewish people.

“Neither let the son of the stranger, that has joined himself to YHWH, speak, saying, YHWH has utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree. For this is what YHWH says unto the eunuchs that keep my Sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant; Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.

Clearly YHWH intended the Gentiles to enter into Covenant with Him, which means to observe His Torah and to “keep the Sabbath from polluting it.”

Most believers realize that we are living in the acharit hayamim (latter days) and as such we are entering into a time for the fulfillment of many prophecies including;

“But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of YHWH shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it. And many nations (Goy) shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of YHWH, and to the house of the El of Jacob; and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths: for the Torah shall go forth of Zion, and the Word of YHWH from Jerusalem” (Micah 4:1-2).

The mountain is a symbol of YHWH’s government authority which means that many will seek the Kingdom of Elohim which is established above all of man’s kingdoms and religions. Although Torah and the Word of YHWH have been trodden asunder by most Christians (most are currently observing only 61 percent of Torah) the fact remains that Torah will be acknowledged and accepted by many Christians who realize that they have never been shown the deeper application and meaning of Torah.

Notice how the Word of YHWH is equated with Torah, but the Word of YHWH is Mashiyach! Torah and Mashiyach are One and the same Spirit; they are perfectly unified as One. It is man’s “religion” that has pitted them against each other.

In Brit Chadasha (Renewed Covenant) Writings when Gentiles (Ger Toshav) entered into the Kingdom through Mashiyach, they were given the designation of “Fearers of Elohim”:

“Now there was a certain man in Caesarea, a centurion, whose name was Qurnelius, from that band of soldiers which is called Italiqa. And he was righteous and feared Elohim, he and all his household. And he did many alms among the people, and he beseeched Elohim at all times” (Acts 10:1, 2).

Some might dispute this and suggest that a Ger Toshav is not equivalent to a Gentile; however, this is a moot point if we consider what YHWH says about the Jewish people: “Israel is swallowed up: now shall they be among the Gentiles as a vessel wherein is no pleasure.” (Hosea 8:8).

Jews went into the dispersion because they threw off YHWH’s Torah and broke Covenant with Him, and they have been punished in every generation since. Had Jews as a race been obedient, they would have lifted up Mashiyach and taught Torah to all who had ears to hear. Many more Gentiles would then be Ger Toshav as they would have access through the Jewish people to learn of YHWH and His Mashiyach; but as it stands today, most Jews are embarrassed to be associated with the Ancient Paths (Jer. 6:16).

Many who acknowledge Y’shua as Mashiyach openly break Torah, just as most Christians falsely believe that Y’shua or Paul did away with Torah.  Qurnelius was the first of many Ger Toshav to enter into the Kingdom as witnessed by Mashiyach’s talmidim: “he was righteous and feared Elohim, he and all his household” (Acts 10:2).

Here are two essential elements of true faith for any Jew or Gentile to be “righteous and fear Elohim.”

“And while they were departing from their midst, they beseeched from them that they might speak on another Shabbat these words to them. And after the congregation was dismissed, many Yehudeans went after them, and even proselytes who feared Elohim. And they were speaking and persuading them to be adherents of the grace of Elohim. And on another Shabbat all the city gathered to hear the Word of Elohim. And when the Yehudeans saw the large gathering theywere filled with envy and they were standing against the words that Polous was speaking. And they were blaspheming” (Acts 13:42-45).

Not only Yehudeans but “even proselytes who feared Elohim” were meeting together on Shabbat as one people. The proselytes were Gentiles who entered into Covenant with YHWH through Mashiyach Y’shua and observed Shabbat together; they feared Elohim, which means they repented of breaking Torah.

It is through Torah that we have the knowledge of sin, so rather than to fear man and do what religion prescribed, many Gentiles turned to YHWH through Mashiyach and entered into the Renewed Covenant which requires Torah to be written upon the heart.

“And on the Shabbat day, we went without the gate of the city to the side of a river, because a house of prayer was seen there. And when we were seated, we conversed with the women who there assembled. And a certain woman who feared Elohim, a seller of purple, whose name was Lydia, from the city of Thyatira, (was there). Her heart our Master opened, and she listened to what Paul spoke. Then she was immersed, and her household…” (Acts 16:13-15).

The symbol of entering into a mikveh (living waters) and coming out purified was being practiced for centuries before Y’shua; the candidate arose from the waters renewed unto YHWH and born anew. Lydia “feared Elohim” and therefore presented herself to YHWH according to the requirement of the Word of YHWH (Torah).

To Jewish onlookers Lydia’s immersion at the side of the river was a mikveh based on Torah (the covenant of immersion [baptism] is Torah). “And some of them believed, and adhered to Paul and Silas; and of those Greeks who feared Elohim, a great many; and also of noted women, not a few” (Acts 17:4).

As larger numbers of Gentiles turned to YHWH, the Netzarim Jewish community was being challenged to disciple each new soul into Mashiyach, but a dispute arose regarding the matter of circumcision for Gentiles. Acts 15 records how followers of Y’shua from P’rushim (Pharisaic) background demanded Gentiles be circumcised and keep the Torah of Moshe, but it is clearly particulars of circumcision that were contested, not observance of the Torah of Moshe.

“Because of this <I> say that you should not be those oppressors who from the Gentiles are turning to Elohim. But we will send (word) to them that they should abstain from uncleanness of sacrifices (idols) and from adultery and from things that are strangled and from blood. For from ancient generations in all cities Moshe had preachers in the synagogues that on every Shabbat they read him” (Acts 15:19-21).

These four Commandments provided preliminary elements (initiation) for Gentiles to join with the existing Messianic community. Gentiles were meeting with the Netzarim followers of Y’shua in homes and synagogues and on Shabbat they were learning about Torah (Moshe) in the synagogues, but all-Gentile based Christianity rapidly turned the tables.

Not only did the Gentile Church abandon Moses, but they soon began to demand that Jewish followers of Y’shua forsake both Torah and their Jewish heritage.

The true remnant followers of Y’shua are they who sing the Song of Moshe (observe Torah) and have the Testimony of the Lamb (follow Y’shua). In much of the world today it is non-Jewish followers of Y’shua who are returning to the Netzari Faith and are teaching Jews about Mashiyach and the importance of Torah observance. Many “fearers of Elohim” (Gentiles) are sanctifying the Name of YHWH, observing Shabbat and the Moedim equally alongside Jewish talmidim.

“Now I say, that Y’shua the Mashiyach ministered to the circumcision in behalf of the truth of Elohim in order to confirm the promise (made) to the fathers; And that the Gentiles might glorify Elohim for his mercies upon them, as it is written: I will confess to you among the Gentiles, and to your name will I sing psalms. And again he said: Rejoice, you Gentiles, with His people. And again he said: Praise MASTER YHWH, all you Gentiles; (and) laud him, all you nations. And again Isaiah said: There will be a root of Jesse; and he that shall arise will be a prince for the Gentiles; and in him will the Gentiles hope” (Romans 15:8-12).

Many Gentiles have been led by the Ruach haKodesh into Kingdom through Mashiyach and delight in the Torah of YHWH.

“But I say: Did not Israel know? First, Moshe said thus: I will awaken your emulation by a people which is not a people; and by a disobedient people I will provoke you. And Isaiah was bold, and said: I was seen by those who sought me not; and I was found by those who inquired not for me. But to Israel, he said: All the day have I stretched out my hands to a contentious and disobedient people” (Romans 10:19-21).

According to Rav Shaul the Gentiles, by turning to YHWH also create opportunity for the Jewish people to make teshuva:

“But I say: Have they so stumbled as to fall entirely? May it never be! Rather, by their stumbling, life has come to the Gentiles for (awakening) their jealousy. And if their stumbling was riches to the world, and their condemnation riches to the Gentiles; how much more their completeness?” (Romans 11:11-12)

Those who break Torah can in no way make anyone jealous for Mashiyach or Torah. Paul is clearly talking about the Gentiles attaining righteous qualities that come about by having Torah written upon the heart.

Although Jewish and Christian religious traditions deem that Gentiles are under a different covenant than Jews, the fact of the matter is there is only One Kingdom, One Mashiyach and One Covenant. There can never be one law for one person and a different law for another within a united kingdom; this is absolutely absurd thinking and foolish to postulate yet it is a very common theme within Jewish and Christian religious worlds.

The big question in the First Century was not a matter of if, but when the Gentiles would be expected to bear righteous fruit of having Torah written upon their hearts. Clearly there are massive expectations on Jews to live upright and righteous lives in YHWH according to Torah. However, when a Gentile soul enters into the Kingdom of Elohim after a life of paganism, polytheism and all manner of Torahlessness, then logic and reason would suggest that people need time to grow in Torah and develop an understanding of what it means to have Torah written upon their hearts.

Jews are called to enter into Covenant, be circumcised at eight days old, observe Torah and follow Mashiyach; this is what YHWH intended for every Jewish soul. But YHWH is not a “respecter of persons” – He is Creator of both Jew and Gentile which is why Mashiyach warned the chief priests and Pharisees in the Temple: “…I say to you that the Kingdom of Elohim will be taken from you and will be given to a people who bear fruit” (Matthew 21:43).

Therefore, if the Kingdom of Elohim were to be taken from the Pharisees for denying the cornerstone who is Y’shua Mashiyach, then it would also impossible for Gentiles to break the Torah that is incumbent upon Jews to observe, and somehow bear fruit without Torah! Those who “bear fruit” are righteous Jews and Gentiles who have Torah written upon their hearts and who bear fruit of the Love of YHWH and love for their fellow man which is specified in the Terms and Conditionsof Torah Covenant, which is Mashiyach.

Whether you are a Jew who is taking the heat from your Jewish community for putting your trust in Y’shua Mashiyach, or a Gentile who is being abused by family members and friends for your love of Torah, the Kingdom of Elohim is all about bearing righteous fruit and being Set Apart unto YHWH and His Mashiyach.

CHINA RUSSIA FINANCIAL UPDATE

This past week saw the U.S. stock markets swing wildly up and down. Pressure is building against the U.S. dollar as the U.S. Congress just passed a budget/spending resolution that will increase the U.S. debt by at least another trillion dollars.

The Chinese are aggressively attacking the U.S. dollar with the opening of this oil futures exchange. The Russians and Chinese are already trading in their own currencies. Russian is China’s largest supplier of oil. Together these two nations are form a powerful new currency and trading bloc.

America’s role in future Biblical events is going to be reduced due to God’s chastisement upon the nation. We are headed for a severe financial crises and fall of the U.S. dollar. This oil exchange will allow those nations who look upon America as their enemy great freedom from the U.S. led monetary order.

The current political division, chaos, debt, and lawlessness in America is causing many nations to turn away from U.S. monetary system. Fasten your seatbelts as 2018 is the beginning of coming major financial crises and change.

The ultimate result will be fulfillment of end time Biblical prophecies concerning the return of Y’shua after the Great Tribulation. Search this blog for other articles concerning Russia and China for greater insight.

China is ready for its own, yuan-based oil Benchmark as the Shanghai futures exchange is welcoming all parties wanting to break with U.S. dominance.

Final preparations are underway at the Shanghai International Energy Exchange, or INE, in the city's pilot free trade zone. After five system tests in 2017, the trading platform has had small glitches but is nearly set to go, according to Tang Yun, an assistant to the president of Shanghai-based East Asia Futures. Trading in yuan could start by March, once the authorities give the go-ahead.

The government is determined to turn the INE's crude oil futures into a global benchmark, and to do so it needs to get large numbers of traders involved. The more participants a market attracts, the more liquid it will be, and the more it will inspire confidence.

Now China is calling on oil producers and consumers -- from global majors to its own big players -- to participate in the new market. The INE plans to handle seven kinds of Middle Eastern crude, including Basra Light produced in Iraq, Dubai crude and Oman crude.

Once this energy exchange opens China will officially be challenging the U.S. led world financial order. The plan is for the exchange to open March 26, 2018. Initially the dollar will be accepted, but the oil will be priced in Yuan. It will potentially give the Shanghai International Energy Exchange (INE), which will operate the new contract, a share of the trillions of dollars each year in oil futures trading.

Asia has become the world’s biggest oil consuming region, and China hopes its own derivative crude contract will better reflect market conditions in the region.

The two most active oil futures contracts in the world are the West Texas Intermediate (WTI) CLc1 contract offered by the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX), owned by CME Group (CME.O), and the Brent LCOc1 contract offered by the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE.N) from London.

WTI futures are an important component of physical oil prices in the Americas, while Brent plays a vital role for prices for Middle Eastern, European and Asian crude.

John Browning, chief operating officer of Hong Kong-based futures broker Bands Financial Ltd, which has been approved by the CSRC as an overseas intermediary for the INE, said international participation in the contract was crucial to ensure INE pricing truly reflects global trade flows.

“The principal driver for the choice of this contract is to enable China to develop its own benchmark for oil pricing while increasing the trade of renminbi-denominated oil,” Browning said in a statement, using another name for the Chinese currency.

But while the contract will be quoted in yuan, “the exchange will accept USD as collateral for initial margin,” opening the way for participation by non-Chinese companies, he added.

JEWISH WISDOM, THE ZOHAR, AND Y’SHUA THE MESSIAH

In this post I referred to http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/the-zohar website for a concise description of the Zohar. The search for answers in the mystical are always based upon questions all of us ask. The mystical contains much wisdom passed down through the centuries.

The problem with the mystical is that it requires all of your time, study, and energy. It is wisdom unto itself. It turns away from the Holy Scriptures and becomes its own religion.

For me, mysticism confirms the truth in God’s word, the Bible. Mystics have the same questions we all ask. I have found all the answers in the written word of God. If we allow the Bible to interpret itself and study true history we can find the answers in due time.

Below is a simple description of the Jewish Mystical Zohar. Keep in mind I respect all Jewish wisdom. My comments are in blue:

The Zohar (Hebrew ×–ֹ×”ַר; Splendor, radiance) is widely considered the most important work of Kabbalah, Jewish mysticism. It is a mystical commentary on the Torah (five books of Moses), written in medieval Aramaic and medieval Hebrew. It contains a mystical discussion of the nature of God, the origin and structure of the universe, the nature of souls, sin, redemption, good and evil, and related topics.

As you can see the Zohar is an attempt to understand God and His  creation. It is attempting to understand YHWH by adding to the Torah to explain it. All nations and peoples try to understand YHWH as there are countless religions and gods in all cultures.

The Bible, along with the 5 books of Moses, contains all the answers when we allow it to interpret itself and use both the Old and New Testaments. When reading the Zohar carefully we find that the writers are seeking answers to questions all mankind asks. The error is turning from the written word to mystical interpretation.

The Zohar is not one book, but a group of books. These books include scriptural interpretations as well as material on theosophic theology, mythical cosmogony, mystical psychology, and what some would call anthropology.

Origin

According to Gershom Scholem, most of the Zohar was written in an exalted style of Aramaic that was spoken in Palestine during the second century of the modern era. The Zohar first appeared in Spain in the thirteenth century, and was published by a Jewish writer named Moses ben Shem-Tov de Leon. He ascribed this work to a rabbi of the second century, Simeon ben Yohai. Jewish historiography holds that during a time of Roman persecution, Rabbi Simeon hid in a cave for 13 years, studying the Torah (five books of Moses) with his son Eliezar. During this time he is said to have been inspired by God to write the Zohar.

Suddenly this book appeared in the 13th century supposedly found by rabbi Moses de Leon. The story of rabbi Simeon ben Yohai, credited with writing Zohar, hiding in the cave is highly questionable, but it was accepted as truth.

The fact that the Zohar was found by one lone individual, Moses de Leon, taken together with the circumstance that it refers to historical events of the post-Talmudical period, caused the authenticity of the work to be questioned from the outset. There is a story told about how after the death of Moses de Leon, a rich man of Avila, named Joseph, offered the widow, who had been left without means, a large sum of money for the original from which her husband had made the copy; and she then confessed that her husband himself was the author of the work. She had asked him several times, she said, why he had chosen to credit his own teachings to another, and he had always answered that doctrines put into the mouth of the miracle-working Simeon ben Yohai would be a rich source of profit. Incredible as this story seems, it at least proves that shortly after its appearance the work was believed by some to have been written entirely by Moses de Leon.

It is evident that the Zohar was very likely a work composed by Moses de Leon. Why would his wife admit this and turn down a large sum of money? For me, this is evidence enough that Moses de Leon wrote the Zohar in the 13th Century. Crediting the book to a much earlier time would give it added credibility!

Pardes and Biblical Exegesis

The Zohar assumes four kinds of Biblical exegesis: "Peshat" (literal meaning), "Remez" (allusion), "Derash" (anagogical), and "Sod" (mystic). The initial letters of the words "Peshat", "Remez", "Derash", and "Sod" form together the word "PaRDeS" (Paradise), which became the designation for the fourfold meaning of which the mystical sense is the highest part.

When “PaRDeS” is used to interpret the Bible it is a very effective tool to help us understand the things of God. The most important thing we need to understand is that the Jewish people were given the Bible by YHWH. Even the New Testament was written by Jews. It is to our benefit as believers in Y’shua to understand the Jewish approach to YHWH. They have a true desire to know Him.

The mystic allegorism is based by the Zohar on the principle that all visible things, the phenomena of nature included, have besides their exoteric reality an esoteric reality destined to instruct man in that which is invisible. This principle is the necessary corollary of the fundamental doctrine of the Zohar. The universe being, according to that doctrine, a gradation of emanations, it follows that the human mind may recognize in each effect the supreme mark, and thus ascend to the cause of all causes.

The God of the Bible, YHWH, came in human form as Messiah. In Messiah all the mysteries of the Universe reside! In Y’shua resides the “life force” of the one true God, YHWH. Y’shua came to do the “will of the Father.”

The rejection by the Jewish people of their Messiah Y’shua has left them desperately seeking answers which are found only in Messiah! In Messiah Y’shua we find the answers to all questions. Accepting His sacrifice for our sins is the beginning of wisdom. The entire Old Testament points to Y’shua as the Messiah.

Effects on Judaism

The Zohar was lauded by many rabbis because it opposed religious formalism, stimulated one's imagination and emotions, and for many people helped reinvigorate the experience of prayer. In many places prayer had become a mere external religious exercise, while prayer was supposed to be a means of transcending earthly affairs and placing oneself in union with God.

The Zohar was censured by many rabbis because it propagated many superstitious beliefs, and produced a host of mystical dreamers, whose over-heated imaginations peopled the world with spirits, demons, and all kinds of good and bad influences. Many classical rabbis, especially Maimonides, viewed all such beliefs as a violation of Judaism's principles of faith.

Its mystic mode of explaining some commandments was applied by its commentators to all religious observances, and produced a strong tendency to substitute a mystic Judaism in the place of traditional rabbinic Judaism.

The danger of too much mysticism is that it draws us away from truth. The WORD of YHWH is truth. Mysticism detours into areas that do not align with the word. Mysticism requires total attention and seeks answers through mystical experiences and often uses occult practices. Mysticism puffs one up with false knowledge that denies Y’shua Messiah.

Mysticism requires total focus and study. It cause segregation between the "educated elite" and the common man. The commands in the Torah are simple--anyone can understand them. It was the priestly elites that added to it and built "fences" around it that began to complicate it.

The Torah/Law/Bible was written by YHWH for all His people. Everyone who spends a reasonable amount of time reading it and meditating on it can draw closer to YHWH. Allowing it to interpret itself, without legends and fables, will help us understand our Creator.

Shabbat, the Jewish Sabbath, began to be looked upon as the embodiment of God in temporal life, and every ceremony performed on that day was considered to have an influence upon the superior world.

The Sefirot in Jewish KabbalahKabbalah Tree of Life

There are many strands of teaching in the kabbalah. Medieval kabbalists, for example, were wont to speak of God as the En Sof (That Which Is Without Limit). The En Sof is inaccessible and unknowable to man. But God reveals Himself to mankind through a series of ten emanations, sefirot, a configuration of forces that issue from the En Sof . The first of these (see illustration left) sefirot is keter (crown) and refers to God's will to create. Another sefira, binah (understanding), represents the unfolding in God's mind of the details of creation, while hesed (lovingkindness) refers to the uncontrolled flow of divine goodness. Most of the sefirot are regarded as legitimate objects for human meditation; they represent a way in which human beings can make contact with God. Through contemplation and virtuous deeds, human beings can also bring down the divine grace to this world. It is not through works we receive salvation!

The simple description I can give of the Kabbalah Tree of Life is that it is supposed to be the “road map” to attaining knowledge of God. Beginning at the top with keter (crown) the seeker begins a journey through each sefirot until they reach Malkhut (the Kingdom). It is a life long journey.

A major problem with all this is that eventually the seeker spends all their time on this mystical journey and no time in the written word of YHWH. Deuteronomy 4.2 says: "You shall not add to the word which I am commanding you, nor take away from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.”

Kabbalah has long been one of the important areas of Jewish thought. Ideas that many contemporary Jews might think of as un-Jewish sometimes are found in the kabbalah, most notably, the belief in reincarnation (gilgul neshamot). I was surprised at how many religious Jews believe in reincarnation! Rejection of Messiah leads to many errors!

Between 1500 and 1800, Scholem has written, "kabbalah was widely considered to be the true Jewish theology," and almost no one attacked it. With the Jewish entrance into the modern world, however-a world in which rational thinking was more highly esteemed than the mystical-kabbalah tended to be downgraded or ignored.

In recent years, there has been an upsurge of interest in kabbalah, and today it is commonly studied among Hasidic Jews, and among many non-Orthodox Jews who are part of the counterculture.

In summary the religious Jewish people sincerely desire to know and understand YHWH. The books they have written such as the Talmud, Mishnah, and Zohar are full of “Jewish Wisdom” acquired throughout the millenniums past.

YHWH gave to them His Commands and Holy Scriptures. They are the people of the book. Christianity is based on the Jewish Bible which prophesied of the coming Messiah, Y’shua. Without an understanding of the Jewish culture and approach towards the “Eternal without end Elohim” we cheat ourselves of a clearer understanding of the Bible.

The simple fact is that the majority of Jewish people have rejected Messiah Y’shua. In rejecting Messiah they are left with many un-answered questions about all things eternal. This has led them to seek answers from other sources than the Torah and Tanakh.

When Messiah Y’shua ben Dawid returns at YHWH’s appointed time they will repent and accept Y’shua’s grace and forgiveness:

“And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn. In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.”

That will be a glorious day for all the world…it will be a “resurrection of the dead!”
