WORLD WITHOUT TORAH

Ok, read the previous two posts. Now I hope I was able to explain in a clear and simple way that Torah is still the law of YHVH. We have Y’shua’s own words:

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.  For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. Matt 5.17-20

If you have read the previous two posts we have established that we are not under the authority of Torah. We are under the authority of YHVH. That does not invalidate Torah:

“Do we then nullify the Torah through faith? Not at all! Rather, we establish the Torah” (Romans 3:31). W

We follow YHVH’s instructions—the Torah—because we love Him. We can read the Torah for ourselves at: http://www.jewfaq.org/613.htm  Are they not common sense instructions? What is there to be afraid of?

We follow YHVH’s instruction/Torah because we love him (1 John 5.3-5). Torah is not a burden. It shows us what sin is and sets a standard or Code of Conduct (of Perfection). After all, we are to be the light of the world to those who are perishing?

The Torah points us to redemption, salvation, deliverance, and final judgment. No Kingdom can function without laws. Simply look around at the world. YHVH has given mankind His instruction and they refuse to repent and obey Torah.

Look at the government and people of the United States. There seems to be no law these days. Government officials on both sides do as they wish. Who is going to jail for crimes committed among our political representatives? So, far nobody. Where is respect for authority? If our authority is YHVH then we should obey His Torah—His Code of Conduct.

The chaos we are seeing in government at this time is having a serious affect on "lawfulness" in the west. Since the Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton scandal years in the White House the office of the President has been sorely diminished. Government continues to become more lawless each cycle.

The rule of law and righteous behavior in government goes the way of the highest office in the land--it begins at the top. Sadly this is all leading to the "New World Order" that is coming. Freedoms will be restricted when this new order becomes established.

An unforeseen event or events will usher in this new order at Yahweh's appointed time. Until then we are watching, praying, and occupying until He comes! The epistle of James addresses this.

Why do we have wars? James knew:

For the wrath of man works not the righteousness of God. Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. James 1.20-22

From whence come wars and fightings among you? Come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

You adulterers and adulteresses, know you not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwells in us lusting to envy? James 4.1-5

Without obedience to YHVH’s instruction there is no law. The world is without Torah. Lawlessness abounds and will continue to get worse and worse as we approach the return of Master Y’shua. Look around you and it is abundantly clear that the world hates anything that represents YHVH. Shine your light!

UNDERSTANDING THE FINE POINT OF YHVH’S ROYAL LAW – THE TORAH

I hope that I can explain this fine point of the law. It is very important to understand how the church moved away from its Hebraic foundations after the Apostle’s died. Remember, we have crossed over into Y’shua. The meaning of the word Hebrew is “one who has crossed or passed over.”

Abraham was not a Jew—he was a Hebrew (Gen 14.13). He was called out and he crossed over into the one true YHVH. Anyone who is born again into Y’shua the Messiah has become a Hebrew! You are not a Jew and you are not a Christian. Do you see it? You are now a Hebrew—Jew and Gentile in Y’shua—one NEW MAN.

OK, we know we are not “justified by the law.”

“All who rely on observing the Torah of Moshe are under a curse. For it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the book of the Torah’” (Galatians 3:10).

“Clearly no one is justified before Elohim by the Torah, because the righteous will live by faith” (Galatians 3:11). Note: Martin Luther said, "by faith alone." That is not what the word says.

“In YHWH all the generations of Israel will be justified, and in Him they will boast” (Isaiah 45:25).

Is this clear? It is obedience to Elohim’s laws—coming from the KNOWLEDGE that they came from Him. A few more verses…are you understanding this fine point?

“And I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed” (Genesis 12:3).

“You will receive a curse if you reject the commands of YHWH your Elohim and turn from his way by worshiping foreign gods” (Deuteronomy 11:28).

“Then afterward he read all the words of the Torah, the blessing and the curse, according to all that is written in the book of the Torah (Joshua 8:34).

The curse of the Torah does not cause Torah to pass away! If Paul is trying to undermine Torah why would he quote from the Torah as he uses the Torah as his authority and in his teaching?

“Clearly no one is justified before Elohim by the Torah, because the righteous will live by faith” (Galatians 3:11). Also found in Habakkuk 2.4

He is saying, the ritual is empty without accepting the fact that the requirement comes from YHVH.

“The Torah is not based on faith; on the contrary, the man who does these things will live by them” (Galatians 3:12). Nobody can live without breaking some law.

The Torah is the Instruction Manual—the Code of Conduct. We are not getting ourselves all tied up in knots “trying to do” it. We walk in the "spirit of the law" so to speak.

When I was in the US Air Force we had a Code of Conduct. We spent several days going over it and discussing it. They were all common sense rules of how we should conduct ourselves and how we should dress.

It was not burdensome for us to do. We were not uptight about conducting ourselves in the prescribed manner. It became natural as we progressed through our training. This is how TORAH is!

“He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Mashiyach Y’shua, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit” (Galatians 3:14).

“The promise of the Spirit” is that YHVH spoke to Abraham and WHEN Abraham did as he was instructed, he received the blessing of YHVH for himself and the entire world for his OBEDIENCE!

Here is the fine point: The “curse of the Torah” is simply that Torah shows us what sin is and sets a standard for perfection! The Torah then points us to redemption, salvation, deliverance, and judgment--to everlasting life or everlasting contempt upon resurrection (Daniel 12.1-10).

Do we then nullify the Torah through faith? Not at all! Rather, we establish the Torah” (Romans 3:31). There it is! It is a fine point that has been lost in our Gentile church.

Paul never discarded the Torah, nor did Y’shua (Matt 5.17-20). Y'shua fulfilled the Torah in his life and is our model of how to conduct ourselves. This has eternal ramifications in the Millennial Kingdom where there are rewards for what we have done in this life.

Once we come to understand this fine point everything begins to make sense. It is a literal “crossing over” that establishes our faith on a ROCK SOLID FOUNDATION.

Without a firm Hebrew understanding of the word, it’s all just Greek to me.

UNDERSTANDING THE TORAH – GOD’S ETERNAL ROYAL LAW

The next few blogs will center on YHVH’s law, the Torah. Many Christian’s like to say, “We are not under the law” but do not understand what that really means.

First, here are some scriptural examples of how this term is used:

“They should collect all the food of the good years that are coming and store up the grain under (tachath) the authority of Pharaoh, to be kept in the cities for food” (Genesis 41:35).

“Then the priest shall put the woman under oath and shall say to her, “If no man had aid with you and if you have not gone astray into uncleanness, being under (tachath) the authority of your husband, be immune to this water of bitterness that carries a curse” (Numbers 5:19).

To be “under” something means to derive authority from it. So, if we were “under the Torah/Law” that would mean we derive authority from Torah. This is never taught in the Bible. All the requirements in the Torah are YHVH’s requirements, they are from YHVH—not the Torah.

We are not justified by Torah standards. Look what Jeremiah says:

“The days are coming,” declares YHWH, “when I will punish all who are circumcised only in the flesh. Egypt, Judah, Ammon, Moab and all who live in the desert in distant places. For all these nations are really uncircumcised, and even the whole house of Israel is uncircumcised in heart” (Jeremiah 9:25-26).

Clearly circumcision never justified those people. Jeremiah’s insight is the same as Acts 15. It is not the physical act of circumcision that justifies—it is the spiritual condition of the heart!

“For I desire mercy and not sacrifice, and the acknowledgment of Elohim rather than burnt offerings” (Hosea 6:6).

Abraham was justified because he believed YHVH. He heard and understood the Word/Law of YHVH and he showed that understanding by following the instructions. Works without faith shows a lack of understanding the Torah and faith without works is DEAD.

Y’shua rebuked the Pharisees on this issue. He did not want the Pharisees to boast or glory in their practice of RITUALS or genealogy/lineage. He wanted them to truly turn their hearts towards YHVH and admit their sins. They thought they were justified by being under the ritual of the law. The Torah, in fact, points our sinful nature.

“For all who have sinned without the Torah will also perish without the Torah, and all who have sinned under (tachyt) the Torah, will be judged by the Torah” (Romans 2:12).

There it is! The Torah points out our SINFUL nature. It sets a standard of proper conduct for those who are disciples of Y'shua. Do a study on the fruits of the spirit. They are the result of loving YHVH and following His commands/Torah!

"Do we then nullify the Torah through faith? Not at all! Rather, we establish the Torah" Romans 3.31

Paul then shows us his zeal to preach the Gospel to all:

“To the Jews I became as a Jew, so that I might win Jews; to those who are under (tachyt) the Torah, as under the Torah though not being myself under (tachyt) the Torah, so that I might win those who are under (tachyt) the Torah, to those who are without Torah, as without Torah, though not being without the Torah of Elohim, but in the instruction of Mashiyach, so that I might win those who are without the Torah” (1 Corinthians 9:20-21).

So we see that we obey YHVH’s commandments because we love Him—not as a ritualistic exercise. We are not “under” the ritual performance of the law. Ritual does not clear sin.  We obey because we love Him:

For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments/Torah: and his commandments are not grievous.  For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? 1 John 5.3-5

The Torah, the law of YHVH, is our code of conduct. We conduct ourselves as emissarys of the King! It is not ritual. It is how we conduct ourselves.

So Paul is saying, “Do you want to be under the ritual of the Torah or do you want to listen to it and conduct yourselves as YHVH’s set apart people?” We have this verse proving once again that the Torah itself is not the problem:

“Tell me, you who want to be under the Torah, do you listen to the Torah?” (Galatians 4:21)

What Paul is saying is: Do you want to be under the ritual of Torah? Are you really listening to Torah? If you listen to Torah you will conduct yourself as a true servant of YHVH—are you listening?

To help you out below is a list of the categories of the 613 commands of Torah:

Please note how they are all very common sense commands of CONDUCT. Every work place, home, game, household has rules of conduct. That is what the Torah is. You don’t want to be under ritual.

The Pharisee’s of Y’shua’s time ADDED rules to the Torah—they tried to build a fence around Torah so that it would be harder to break it. It became ritualistic.

Even today Hasidic Jewish people are very ritualistic in their attempts to be righteous “under” the law. It isn’t designed to be that way but over time this is how it became. Y’shua called it, “The traditions of men”. That was the fence Pharisee’s had put around it. This is what Y'shua was railing about. The Pharisee's were putting heavy burdens on the people that even they weren't following.

Below are some categories and number of laws that Y'shua fulfills because there is no temple anymore. We do not need a temple because YHVH is bigger than any temple and He does not dwell in a temple. Y’shua is our temple and master.

Kohanim and Levites – 29

The Temple, the Sanctuary and Sacred Objects – 32

Sacrifices and Offerings – 101

Ritual Purity and Impurity – 15

Lepers and Leprosy – 4

Nazarites – 10

Read the epistles of Paul carefully. Because the church became a “Gentile Church” after the death of the Apostles anything “Jewish” was expunged. We are not justified by keeping Torah. We are justified by our faith in the completed work of Y’shua on the cross.

BUT…we had better learn how to conduct ourselves as His representatives. Because of lack of knowledge we are destroyed (Hosea 4.6). If you do not understand your code of conduct (Torah) how do you know how to conduct yourself? We do not have license to sin!

ONE NEW MAN

In a previous post http://burningbush647.blogspot.com/2018/01/who-was-abraham-who-is-jew-what-is.html we discovered that Abraham was called out of Chaldea to follow the one true God YHVH. He was living in a pagan society and was coming to an understanding that there was only one true God. Abraham, as we know, became the Father of the Israelites and the Father of our faith. Later in Genesis 14.13 Abraham is referred to as a “Hebrew” for the first time in scripture.

As I pondered this I saw that Abraham was not called a Jew, but rather a Hebrew. The word Hebrew means one who has crossed over. Abraham crossed over from paganism to faith in the one true God. He was then called a Hebrew—one who has “passed over.”

Throughout the Torah and Tanakh we find mention of the stranger, alien, sojourner, or temporary resident (ger Toshav) who joins him or herself with Israel and becomes part of the Israel of Elohim as one people.

“One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the ger (temporary resident) that toshav (sojourns) among you” (Ex. 12:49).

Regardless as to what Christian or Rabbinical traditions say, Torah tells us that the Ger belongs to YHVH just as much as those who are as blood line Jews or Israelites. There was a mixed multitude at Mt. Sinai who fled Egypt along with Israel. These people who attached themselves to Israel were not to be considered second class citizens but as equals.

Remember, neither Caleb or Ruth, were “Jewish” by birth but both fulfilled important roles in the Kingdom of Elohim. Throughout the books of the prophets, especially in Isaiah, there are many mentions of the role the Gentiles play in the Kingdom of God.

“And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Goy (Gentiles) seek: and his rest shall be glorious” (Isaiah 11:8).

“I YHWH have called you in righteousness, and will hold your hand, and will keep you, and give you for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house” (Isaiah 42:6, 7).

YHWH showed Isaiah how the Gentiles were to be brought out of paganism and all manner of false religion, and offered a heritage along with the Jewish people:

“Neither let the son of the stranger, that has joined himself to YHWH, speak, saying, YHWH has utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree. For this is what YHWH says unto the eunuchs that keep my Sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant; Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off. Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to YHWH, to serve him, and to love the name of YHWH, to be His servants, every one that keeps the Sabbath from polluting it, and takes hold of my covenant; Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon my altar; for mine House shall be called the House of prayer for all people. YHWH Elohim which gathers the outcasts of Israel says; Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him” (Isaiah 56:3-8).

We are living in the latter days and are entering into the time that these prophecies are being fulfilled:

“But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of YHWH shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it. And many nations (Goy) shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of YHWH, and to the house of the El of Jacob; and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths: for the Torah shall go forth of Zion, and the Word of YHWH from Jerusalem” (Micah 4:1-2)

Mountains are a symbol of government authority. In these days many will seek the Kingdom of God (Elohim)  which will be established above all earthly man made governments. The lawlessness of this world will come to an end as the Torah becomes the law of all the earth.

The promises are the same to both Jew and Gentile. There is only one law for both in the Kingdom of Elohim. We are grafted into Israel—not Judaism as it is now practiced—but into the family of faith of which Abraham is our Father.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. Galatians 3.28-29

Once we receive Y’shua as our master we all become the household of Elohim.

The problem today is that we have forgotten what “grafted into Israel” means. After the Apostle’s died the “church” was taken over by Gentiles who had no interest in study of the Old Testament. Christianity became a “Gentile church” straying away from our “Hebrew” roots.

We see this already happening in the third epistle of John:

I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loves to have the preeminence among them, receives us not.  Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbids them that would, and casts them out of the church.  Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God. 3 John 9-11

Already those who despised their Hebrew roots are not allowing John himself to enter the assembly! By 321 A.D. anything considered “Jewish” was banned and paganism officially infiltrated the church.

Notice I did not say “Jewish” roots, but rather “Hebrew” roots. Abraham was a Hebrew—he crossed over. When we accept Y’shua as Messiah we too become Hebrews. We are “born again” as we “crossover” into a living relationship with YHVH and Messiah. YHVH’s plan was always to join the Jewish people with the Gentiles becoming one new man (Ezekiel 37.15-28). That is what the joining of the two sticks represents.

As the “Gentile church” began to grow you will find that the church fathers who came after the Apostles never sought out the Tanakh for direction on deep issues. They often embraced Greek Mythology. In fact, that is how Purgatory became a doctrine of the church. There is no Purgatory anywhere in the Tanakh (Bible).

Elohim chose Abraham the Hebrew to become the Father of Faith to all who believed in Messiah. The children of Israel through Moses became responsible for receiving and spreading Elohim’s word—the Torah. That nation became Elohim’s example to the world.

They went into dispersion because they threw off YHVH’s law—the Torah and broke Covenant with Him by following the pagan ways. When Messiah Y’shua came the Kingdom was officially opened to the Ger or strangers.

Ironically, in my mind a completed “Jew” is one who receives Y’shua as master and Messiah. A Jew would vehemently argue that point! The fact, however, is that when we receive Y’shua we ALL both Jew and Gentile become HEBREWS! That is the official crossing over for all who enter into YHVH’s Kingdom.

The sticks of Ezekiel are joined. A nation is born. A Kingdom is established in the heart (heart circumcision) and we become a light unto the world!

As the world and earthly governments begin to crumble under the weight of immorality and sin YHVH expects His nation to “arise and shine” for His glory. Will He find “faith on the earth” at this time? Let us pray that He will.

SPIRITUAL WARFARE - SYMBOLS HAVE MEANING
Just a tease today…look at some of the symbols that surround us. We truly are in a state of spiritual warfare. Pagan signs and symbols surround us and we are totally unaware of their meaning. Is this stuff just coincidence or is it the enemy marking his territory?
https://s3.monsterenergy.com/media/uploads_image/2016/06/29/auto/800/bcb6f88a32b129ab21b45947476a62a8.png?mod=5819d8646032c Tear into a can of the meanest energy drink on the planet, Monster Energy. It`s the ideal combo of the right ingredients in the right proportion to deliver the big bad buzz that only Monster can.
Monster packs a powerful punch but has a smooth easy drinking flavor. Athletes, musicians, anarchists, co-ed’s, road warriors, metal heads, geeks, hipsters, and bikers dig it- you will too.
Unleash The Beast. The Vav is the sixth letter in the Hebrew Alphabet.

Here we see: Unleash the Beast 666 - The symbol itself is literally beast energy, projecting through a portal. The M is the 13th letter (# of rebellion; Gen 14.4), which has the associations of the rebel lord beast. As you may recall, Madame Blavatsky named it as the most sacred of all, identifying it as an androgyne. It's the sign of the watery abyss. The abyss Monster is Leviathan. The beast and his mark represent Monster Energy, supernatural dragon power. The Horus identity is lurking in the midst of all this. The triple vav M is a brilliant symbol. Evil genius.
The next symbol is the upside down pentagram. There are several meanings. One of these is black magick. Another is to represent the Greek god Pan, as it somewhat looks like a goat's head. It has also been used to represent Baphomet, and in more recent years, Satan.
This symbol is often used in witchcraft and Satanic ritual. The Baphomet image is also used by occult spiritualists. It is part man, woman, and goat. One hand is directed upward and the other down. This signifies “As above, so below” or “Do as thou wilt.” The Baphomet symbol was popularized by Aleister Crowley; 12 October 1875 – 1 December 1947) who was an English occultist and ceremonial magician. New Age and Occult ideas are creeping into the church.

The continent of Europe is named after the goddess Europa. Outside the European Parliament building in Belgum we see a statue of the woman riding the beast.

The music industry is full of occult symbols. Do you really know what your kids are listening to. Surely the creators of these videos are aware of the meaning of these symbols. They are sending messages to your kids! Many Christians have no idea what is going on around them—Symbols have meaning!

Katy Perry as witch burning    Madona surrounded by Baphomets  Gaga as blood sarcrifice
An ancient symbol used as a “Mark of the Beast” was a circle with an X inside it. There are many variations of this symbol all around us.

The symbol foe the heart of Sigil  Ceiling of a Christian Basilica…do you see the circle X’s?
Finally we see pagan symbols representing various gods of destruction displayed in the most curious places.

Again, I must ask…is all of this just coincidence? Do the people who use these symbols know what they are doing? Hollywood and the music industry are heavily invested in these images and the messages they represent.
Our God is King of the Universe and we have no reason to fear. It is important to understand the “spirit” we are wrestling against. Use this information to discern what is happening around you and what has hold on the people you come in contact with.
