Thy Kingdom Come

John 6:51-63...Transport yourself back to Jesus’ time when He looked the scribes and the Pharisee’s in the eye and said, “Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink His blood, you have no life in you.” What does the Torah say about drinking blood and eating flesh? It is not to be done!

He stunned the religious leaders of the day with this statement. He shook their legalistic world to it’s very foundation. He didn’t bother explaining it to them so they could understand it better, He just laid it out there. He didn’t sit down and have an academic discussion to further break it down for them to understand. He merely spoke the living word and let it pierce their hearts.

He is the living bread that comes down from heaven. Except we eat this bread (word) and drink this blood (spirit) we have no life in us. Jesus is the living Torah. Jesus is the living word. As Moshe lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so Jesus must be lifted up. In Him is salvation and the restoration of all things. In Him the world is transformed. The Kingdom is God is at hand!

The Lord is going to restore all things (Isaiah 52). The Sabbath will be restored. The Temple will be restored. Israel will be restored. Every nation and every tongue will be a part of this glorious restoration. Set your mind on the things above! This is going to go beyond our petty finite mind’s ability to understand. This is the coming Kingdom that is yet to be unveiled and is being unveiled in hearts everyday. Jerusalem will be a praise in all the earth! Lift up your eyes unto the heavens from whence comes your help. Get some heavenly vision! See beyond the veil of your understanding! The time table of our God is right on schedule. His Kingdom come, His will be done!

The prophets of old saw these things and spoke of them in days of old. Our God is calling us to rule and reign with Him. Religion, legalism, and the pride of man has no part in this. This is the work of the spirit of God and His Son Jesus Christ deep within our being. See the unfolding of the ages spread before you as a prophetic vista seen through the eyes of the Spirit. Sit down in heavenly places and place your thoughts and your ways at His feet! Let the earth be silent before Him!

This is the day of His Revelation. Hear Isaiah (55.3). Hear Daniel (12:3). Hear St. John the Revelator (3:12). He who has ears to hear, let him hear. Hear what the seven spirits say to the seven churches. The time of the Gentiles is coming to a close (Rev 4:1). The Kingdom is being established within His people and they will overcome the prince of the air, led by the Captain of Our Salvation (Isaiah 55:4).

All nations, kindred, and tongues will flow to Jerusalem. The Glory of our God, the Lord Jesus Christ will be the light of the city. There will be no night. There will be no sun, no light of the moon. The heavens will be ablaze with His light. The earth will be new and the government will flow like mighty rivers of water from Jerusalem. The universe will be ruled from Jerusalem! All will be restored. Lift your eyes toward the heavens and dream of the world to come. It is being established in the hearts of those who desire His return. Soon it will be our reality! This is the inheritance of His saints.

Hear Paul the apostle revel in the glory to come. He glimpsed it when he was taken up to the third heaven and saw things unspeakable (2 Corinthians 12:1-4). Peter saw it on the mountain of transfiguration. Elijah saw it and rode there in the chariot of God. David saw it and wrote of it in many Psalms. Ps 51:16, “Thou desire not sacrifice, else I would give it. Thou delight not in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart, O God thou wilt not despise…build thou the walls of Jerusalem.”

These petty things we spend countless hours debating will be made but dung. The power of God will put them all to rest forever. Look up! See Jesus. Hear Him speak. “ I will destroy this temple and in three days raise it up.” There is no more building. We are the temple of God.

You cannot put old wine into new wine skins. The new covenant is in the heart. The more you know Him, the more the heavenly scrolls are rolled open. The word, Jesus, becomes the light that men see. Let your light so shine among men. He is living among men, He is living in men. He quietly asks us to follow Him. To lay down our lives. This is the process that slowly unfolds as we yield to the wisdom and urging of the Holy Spirit. It is a painful process, but it is a liberating experience that allows the fragrance of Jesus to flow forth from us and draw all men unto Him. 2 Corinthians 2:14-16. Amen and Amen.
