THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD IN SCRIPTURES
Keeping it simple here. Lots of scripture to meditate on. This is our kingdom and government
Kingdom
Now after that John was put in
prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and
saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye,
and believe the gospel. Mark 1.14-15
And
Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and
preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every
disease among the people. Matt 9.35
And
he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for
therefore am I sent. Luke 4.43
Then he called his twelve disciples
together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure
diseases. And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to
heal the sick. Luke 9.1-2
But
when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God,
and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. Acts 8.12
And
he went into the synagogue, and spoke boldly for the space of three months,
disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God. Acts 19.8
And
now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom
of God, shall see my face no more. Acts 20.25
And
when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to
whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning
Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till
evening. Acts 28.23
And Paul dwelt two whole years in
his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, preaching the
kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ,
with all confidence, no man forbidding him. Acts 28.30-31
The Spirit (Holy) itself bears
witness with our spirit (human spirit), that we are the children of God: And
if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be
that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. For
I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared
with the glory which shall be revealed in us…For whom he did foreknow, he also
did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the
firstborn among many brethren. Romans 18.16-18, 29
Beloved, now are we the sons of God,
and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall
appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. 1 John 3.2
Of his own will begat he us with the
word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. James
1.18
For this is good and acceptable in
the sight of God our Savior; who will have all men to be saved, and to come
unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one
mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; who gave himself a ransom
for all, to be testified in due time. 1 Timothy 2.3-6
FEASTS OF THE LORD – LEVITICUS 23
Passover
Speak you unto all the congregation
of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every
man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house: and
if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbor next unto
his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to
his eating shall make your count for the lamb. Your lamb shall
be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the
sheep, or from the goats: And ye shall keep it up until the
fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of
Israel shall kill it in the evening. And they shall take of the
blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the
houses, wherein they shall eat it.
And they shall eat the flesh in that
night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall
eat it. Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but
roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.
And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that
which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire. And
thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your
staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the Lord's Passover.
For I will pass through the land of
Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both
man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the
Lord. And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses
where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague
shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. And
this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the
Lord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance
forever.
And it came to pass, that at
midnight the Lord smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the
firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive
that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle. And
Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians;
and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was
not one dead. And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and
said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children
of Israel; and go, serve the Lord, as ye have said. Also take
your flocks and your herds, as ye have said, and be gone; and bless me also.
Exodus 12.3-14, 29-32
Forasmuch as ye know that ye were
not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain
conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with
the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: 1
Peter 18-19
And as they were eating, Jesus took
bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said,
Take, eat; this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave
thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; for this is my blood
of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. But
I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until
that day when I drink it new with you in
my Father's kingdom. Matthew 26.26-29
For I have received of the Lord that
which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus the same night in which he
was betrayed took bread: And when he had given thanks, he brake
it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in
remembrance of me. After the same manner also he took the cup,
when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood: this do
ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
For as often as ye eat this bread,
and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come. Wherefore
whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily,
shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a
man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. For
he that eats and drinks unworthily, eats and drinks damnation to himself, not
discerning the Lord's body. 1 Cor 11.23-29
Unleavened Bread – Removal of Sin
Seven days shall ye eat unleavened
bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for
whosoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that
soul shall be cut off from Israel. And in the first day there
shall be a holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be a holy
convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which
every man must eat, that only may be done of you.
And ye shall observe the feast of
unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of
the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by
an ordinance forever. In the first month, on the fourteenth day
of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and
twentieth day of the month at even. Seven days shall there be
no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eats that which is leavened, even
that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a
stranger, or born in the land. Ye shall eat nothing leavened;
in all your habitations shall ye eat unleavened bread. Ex 12.15-20
Your glorying is not good. Know ye
not that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? Purge out therefore the old
leaven in order, that you may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even
Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us: Therefore let us keep
the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and
wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. 1 Cor 5.6-8
And the Lord said unto Moses,
Stretch out thine hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the
Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen. And
Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his
strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the
Lord overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.
And the waters returned, and covered
the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the
sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them. But
the children of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea; and the
waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.
Thus the Lord saved Israel that day
out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the
sea shore. And Israel saw that great work which the Lord did
upon the Egyptians: and the people feared the Lord, and believed the Lord, and
his servant Moses. Ex 14.26-20
Pentecost – Weeks
And the feast of harvest, the
firstfruits of thy labors, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of
ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy
labors out of the field. Ex 23.16
Also Ex 20 – Giving of the Law and
Acts 2 Giving of the Holy Spirit
Trumpets – Yom Teruah
Speak unto the children of Israel,
saying, in the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a Sabbath,
a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation. Lev 23.24
And the seventh angel sounded; and
there were great voices in heaven, saying, the kingdoms of this world are
become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever
and ever. And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God
on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,
Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord
God Almighty, which art, and was, and art to come; because thou hast taken to
thee thy great power, and hast reigned. And the nations were
angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be
judged, and that thou should give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to
the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and should destroy
them which destroy the earth. And the temple of God was opened
in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there
were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great
hail. Rev 11.15-19 and Revelation chapters 8 and 9
And then shall appear the sign of
the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and
they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and
great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of
a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from
one end of heaven to the other. Matt 24.30-31
For as in Adam all die, even so in
Christ shall all be made alive. 1 Cor 15.22
Day of Atonement – At one with God – “The Fast”
Also on the tenth day of this
seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy
convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering
made by fire unto the Lord. Lev 23.27
Then shall he kill the goat of the
sin offering, for the people, and bring his blood within the vail, and do with
that blood as he did with the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it upon the
mercy seat, and before the mercy seat: And he shall make an
atonement for the holy place, because of the uncleanness of the children of
Israel, and because of their transgressions in all their sins: and so shall he
do for the tabernacle of the congregation, that remains among them in the midst
of their uncleanness. Lev 16.15-16 Also Hebrews 9
The 2nd goat is symbolic
of ha Satan’s future banishment into the bottomless pit….
And when he hath made an end of
reconciling the holy place, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and the
altar, he shall bring the live goat: And Aaron shall lay both
his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the
iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their
sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the
hand of a fit man into the wilderness: And the goat shall bear
upon him all their iniquities unto a land not inhabited: and he shall let go
the goat in the wilderness. Lev 16.20-22
And I saw an angel come down from
heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And
he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan,
and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless
pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the
nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he
must be loosed a little season. Rev 20.1-3
Sukkot – Tabernacles – Feast of Ingathering
And the feast of harvest, the
firstfruits of thy labors, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of
ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy
labors out of the field. Ex 23.16
Thou shalt observe the feast of
tabernacles seven days, after that thou hast gathered in thy corn and thy wine: And
thou shalt rejoice in thy feast, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy
manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite, the stranger, and the
fatherless, and the widow, that are within thy gates.
Seven days shalt thou keep a solemn
feast unto the Lord thy God in the place which the Lord shall choose: because
the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all thine increase, and in all the works
of thine hands, therefore thou shall surely rejoice. Three
times in a year shall all thy males appear before the Lord thy God in the place
which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of
weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles: and they shall not appear before the
Lord empty: Every man shall give as he is able, according to
the blessing of the Lord thy God which he hath given thee. Deut 16.13-17
And so shall be the plague of the
horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass, and of all the beasts that
shall be in these tents, as this plague. Zechariah 14.16
Blessed and holy is he that hath
part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but
they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand
years. Rev 20.6
The Last Great Day – Simchat Torah
Seven days ye shall offer an
offering made by fire unto the Lord: on the eighth day shall be a holy
convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the
Lord: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein. Lev
23.36
After the MK this is the culmination
of God’s master plan for man:
John 7.37-39 - In the last day, that
great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, “If any man thirst, let
him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the
scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” (But
this spoke he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for
the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
The second resurrection then occurs
after this day.
And I saw a great white throne, and
him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and
there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small
and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was
opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things
which were written in the books, according to their works. Rev 20.11-12 and
Ezekiel 37
God’s Government – In His assembly Yeshua is the Head -
Organization
And he is the head of the body, the assembly:
who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might
have the preeminence. Col 1.18
And God hath set some in the church,
first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles,
then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.1 Cor 12.28
And he gave some, apostles; and
some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For
the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of
the body of Christ: ‘Till we all come in the unity of the
faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the
measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:
That we henceforth be no more
children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by
the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to
deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him
in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the
whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint
supplies, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, makes
increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. Ephesians 4.11-16
Yeshua rules His people:
Wives, submit yourselves unto your
own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. Husbands, love your
wives, and be not bitter against them. Children, obey your
parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. Col 3.18-20
Let us be glad and rejoice, and give
honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made
herself ready. Rev 19.7
Wherefore the law is holy, and the
commandment holy, and just, and good. Romans 7.12
Love
works no ill to his neighbor: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
Romans 13.10
The law of the Lord is perfect,
converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The
statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the
Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the Lord is
clean, enduring forever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous
altogether. More to be desired are they then gold, yea, than
much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover
by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward. Ps
19.7-11
Who is God?
God is Echad or One in Hebrew. The
word Echad has a meaning of plurality. God the Father and Son are one. Yeshua
said He and the Father were one:
In the beginning was the Word, and
the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in
the beginning with God… No man hath seen God at any time,
the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared
him. John 1.1-2, 18
The Father is the head of the
family…the echad son does the will of the Father…the carries out the will of
the Father:
For the Father loves the Son, and shows
him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than
these-- this you marvel at. John 5.20…This is a mystery that is difficult for
our finite minds to understand. These two have existed for eternity.
We will become the bride—born into
the family of God.
For I am jealous over you with godly
jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a
chaste virgin to Christ. 2 Cor 11.2
God the Father is Preeminent
For
the Father loves the Son, and shows him all things that himself doeth: and he
will shew him greater works than these, that you may marvel. John 5.20
Then said Jesus unto them, “When you
have lifted up the Son of man, then shall you know that I am he, and that I do
nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things. And
he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always
those things that please him.” John 8.28-29
For I have not spoken of myself; but
the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what
I should speak. John 12.49
He that loves me not keeps not my
sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent
me. John12.49
Ye have heard how I said unto you, I
go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I
said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I. John 12.28
Pray to Father: But
thou, when you pray, enter into thy closet, and when you have shut the door,
pray to your Father which is in secret; and your Father which sees in secret
shall reward you openly. Matt 6.6
Yeshua always points us towards the
Father. We are disciples of Yeshua—He is our teacher.
Family government structure remains in place for eternity:
Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even
the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. 1
Cor 15.24
Yeshua reveals the existence of God the Father and the God
Family: The Hebrew says that God is “Echad” or “One”. This word has
a plural meaning. God is one—a unity of one. Yeshua and the Father are one
unity.
No one has seen God at any time. The
only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.
John 1.18
Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to
Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to
them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and
your God.’ ” John 20.17
What is Man’s Purpose and Why?
Man is created in God’s image: Then
God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them
have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the
cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
Gen 1.26
Man has the potential to develop
God’s character. In the afterlife we will have immortal bodies. We don’t have
immortal souls as the “Soul that sins will die” Ezekiel 18.20. The doctrine of
an immortal soul comes from Greek philosophy and Plato. In the sweat of your
face you shall eat bread ‘Till you return to the ground, for out of it you were
taken; for dust you are, and to dust you shall return.” Gen 3.19
For the living know that they will
die; but the dead know nothing, and they have no more reward, for the memory of
them is forgot. Ecc
9.5
“Behold, all souls are Mine; The
soul of the father As well as the soul of the son is Mine; The soul who sins
shall die. Ezekiel 18.4
Man is born again into God’s family
and resurrected from the dead with an immortal body if a believer in
Yeshua. 1Cor 15
The Spirit in Man
The spirit in humans is given to us
by the breath of God. Our human spirit separates us from the animal kingdom.
The human spirit works in combination with the brain and allows us to think and
reason. Our human spirit interacts with God’s Holy Spirit and will lead us into
truth if we humbly seek it.
But there is a spirit in man,
and the breath of the Almighty gives him understanding. Job 32.8
Who knows the spirit of the sons of
men, which goes upward, and the spirit of the animal, which goes down to the
earth? Ecc 3.21
Then the dust will return to the
earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it. Ecc 12.7
For what man knows the things of a
man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the
things of God except the Spirit of God. 1 Cor 2.11
The Spirit Himself bears witness
with our spirit that we are children of God….Romans 8.16
The Holy Spirit – God’s Power
God’s power He used to create angels,
the universe, and human beings. God uses humans to perform His will. The Holy
Spirit “impregnates a true believer with spiritual life…it allows us to partake
of God’s divine nature.
But as it is written: “Eye has not
seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which
God has prepared for those who love Him.”
But God has revealed them to
us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things
of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man
which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of
God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but
the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely
given to us by God.
These things we also speak, not in
words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing
spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not
receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor
can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is
spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one.
For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct
Him?” But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Cor 2.9-16
…by which have been given to us
exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be
partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in
the world through lust. 2 Peter 1.4
And the angel answered and said to
her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest
will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be
called the Son of God. Luke 1.35
But you shall receive power when the
Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem,
and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1.8
You send forth Your Spirit, they are
created; and You renew the face of the earth. Ps 104.30
This spiritual power from God
empowers the believer to overcome sin and to grow in spiritual character.
The Assembly is the First Fruits
God’s master plan is to save as much
of humanity as He can.
…who desires all men to be saved and
to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1
Timothy 2:4
The Lord is not slack concerning His
promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward [a]us, not willing that any should
perish but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
God cut man off from
the Garden of Eden from having a relationship with Him: therefore the Lord God sent him out of the Garden
of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken. So He
drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the Garden of Eden,
and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of
life. Gen 3.23-24
The Father must draw
us to Him: No one can come to Me unless the
Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day. John
6.44
He is
drawing us to Himself in preparation for the Millennial Kingdom (MK) when we
will be priests and kings, teaching the nations. We will be teaching the
unsaved nations and people who survive the tribulation. They will hear the
message from us at that time.
…and has
made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion
for ever and ever. Amen. Rev 1.6
For the earth will be filled With
the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, As the waters cover the sea. Habakkuk 2:14
And the Lord shall be King over all
the earth. In that day it shall be—“The Lord is one,” And His name one. Zechariah 14:9
God is training his
first fruits assembly now: And
the disciples came and said to Him, “Why do You speak to them in parables?” He answered and said to them, “Because it has been
given to you to know the [a]mysteries of the kingdom of heaven,
but to them it has not been given. For whoever has, to him more will be given,
and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be
taken away from him.
Therefore
I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they
do not hear, nor do they understand. 14 And in them the
prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says:
‘Hearing
you will hear and shall not understand, and seeing you will see and not
perceive; …for the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are
hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with their
eyes and hear with their ears, Lest they should understand with their
hearts and turn, So that I should heal them.’
But
blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear; Matt
13.10-16
The
assembly is representing by those He is calling now. God’s plan involves two
harvests, the smaller spring harvest and the coming larger fall harvest at the
end of this age. We are to preach the gospel of the kingdom. That is what this
study is about—The Gospel of the Kingdom.
The Millennial Kingdom
(MK)
The coming
MK will be a thousand year period when Satan is bound and Yeshua will rule and
reign with His saints:
He laid
hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and
bound him for a thousand years; 3 and he cast him into the
bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive
the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these
things he must be released for a little while.
The Saints Reign with
Christ 1,000 Years
And I saw
thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I
saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and
for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not
received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived
and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. But the rest of the dead did not
live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first
resurrection. Blessed and holy is he who has part in
the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall
be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.
Revelation 20.2-6
The
purpose of the MK is to establish God’s Government on the earth purging the
world of sin and establishing God’s Law, love, peace, and prosperity:
The word
that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. And
it shall come to pass in the last of the days or times, the mountain of the
LORD’s house shall be confirmed as the head of the mountains and shall be
exalted above the hills; and all the Gentiles shall flow unto it.
And many
peoples shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD
to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will
walk in his paths; for out of Zion shall go forth the law and the word of the
LORD from Jerusalem.
And he
shall judge among the Gentiles and shall rebuke many peoples; and they shall
beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks; nation
shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. O
house of Jacob, come and let us walk in the light of the LORD. Isaiah 2.1-5
also see Isaiah 11.6-16
After this
period the nations will rebel on final time and be defeated by God. This will
begin the White Throne Judgment where all who were not resurrected in the first
resurrection will be judged. Revelation 20 explains all of this.
