PART FOUR: JEZEBEL IN THE RELIGIOUS SYSTEM

THE WOMAN AND THE BEAST

REVIEW:
Tear down the pillars of Baal and Asherah Deut 12:3-5 Baal’s pillar is represented today by the obelisk which goes back to Egypt. This pillar is Baal’s shaft. It represents power, greed, and lust.

Baal represents the sun god and Asherah is the fertility goddess. Some forms of this today are the goddess Libertas which is a type of the Statue of Liberty which was presented to the USA by the French Freemasons.

Our laws, financial system, and culture is based upon what we believe. We are seeing an erosion of Judeo-Christian beliefs and culture in this age of apostasy.

MYSTERY BABYLONThe mystery of Babylon is about the woman who rides the beast. Revelations 17:7 The woman represents an apostate religious system that has rejected the Judeo-Christian ethics of the past. Revelations 17:3-6 The beast is the financial system. Rev 18:9-18 The Lord says to His people to come out of her! Rev 18:4

THE APOSTATE RELIGIONThe word of the Lord to His people is to come out and follow Him. The word to the seven churches is a warning to not fall into the apostate religion of the day. Rev 2:18-29 He who overcomes will rule and reign, but those who mix with Jezebel are not overcomers. It is important that we align ourselves with solid bible believing and teaching fellowships. The Lord wants us to be holy and sanctified walking in His ways.

Jeremiah gave warning in his day to apostate believers. Jeremiah 7:1-15 They were not walking in the commandments of the Lord. They said “the temple, the temple, the temple of the Lord”. They thought they could live in sin and go to the temple with a sacrifice and all would be well. They wanted to do anything they pleased and not obey the word. The Lord said He would cast them out of His sight. Jer 7:15 They often mixed their tables and feasts with pagan rites.

Pagan worshippers would make a sacrifice and eat it and then drink the blood. Afterwards they would go to a pagan temple and fornicate with the temple prostitutes. God warned them not to do this. Ex 34:14-15

Today the word of the Lord is the same to us. Many churches mix ungodly things into their service. Some have Halloween extravaganza’s and give recognition to demons. (St. John the Divine, N.Y.C.) Some churches hold to replacement theology and refuse to bless Israel. Some incorporate pagan rites and customs into their ecumenical prayer services. They often incorporate new age or pagan rituals into the church.

In New York City, St. John the Divine has a Temple of Understanding in the basement that is funded by the United Nations to promote a mixing of religions and rites. Some of the worship is very pagan in nature. They also celebrate Halloween in the main sanctuary in a very demonic way. (You tube: St. John the Divine Halloween Extravaganza 2008)

We see many pagan symbols incorporated into the church today. In Rome the Piazza de Popolo has the obelisk with a sun circle around it. This is semi enclosed with pillars with many statues around it. The Pope’s garments have many ancient pagan symbols on them. One is similar to the Nazi Iron Cross and there are many sunbursts used in the symbolism of the church. Sun worship is a pagan rite going back to the Tower of Babel and ancient Egyptian culture. Unfortunately, Catholicism is based on ancient sun god worship. The emperor Constantine was a worshipper of Mithras the sun god and incorporated this into the new state religion of Rome.

Freemasonry also uses many of these symbols. They incorporate the Pillars of Baal and Asherah in their art and temple designs. The sun and crescent moon are often seen atop the pillars in the art. The Shriners use the crescent moon and sword of Islam as their logo. They call themselves The Ancient Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine. The Freemasons also use the pentagram (witchcraft symbol) in their imagery. Check out Wicca and Witches Voice on the internet.

PAGAN HOLIDAYSWitchcraft says that time is circular (We believe it is linear heading towards a fulfillment.). This belief can lead to the belief in reincarnation as their life is also recycled. Today pagans are seeking to reclaim their holidays. Many of their beliefs were incorporated into Christianity when Rome accepted the religion as the state religion. To appease the pagans many of their beliefs were incorporated into Christianity to make the transition easy for them. Once Christianity became the state religion a person no longer had to be reborn, they merely had to be born and they were automatically considered to be Christian. Paganism is an official religion in Britain.

Beltran Day in paganism is really the spring celebration of May Day. They even call it a sabbat. During this celebration they dance around a pole, eat pagan sacrifices, and sometimes hide in the woods and fornicate. In England paganism is an official religion. The May pole is an incarnation of the pillar of Baal. So is dancing around a pole at a strip club. This is what the spirit of Jezebel loves. She is an exhibitionist and loves to commit fornication. If you celebrate and believe in these rites you end up partaking of them.

THE LEGEND OF NIMRODWithout going too deep into it, the legend of Nimrod begins at the Tower of Babel which he built in defiance of God. This was the first Mystery Babylon and beginning of Babylon in history. All pagan holidays lead us back to this event in Gen 11. The passage of time dims the memory of man, but we can say all paganism stems from Satan as he is the prince of this world.

After Nimrod’s death his wife Semiramis memorialized him as a sun god. Some offshoots of this are Sagittarius, Osiris of Egypt, and the Centaur (half man and horse). All these incarnations are Satan’s designs as they relate to various cultures throughout history. The source is always from Satan, it just takes different forms.

In death Nimrod was symbolized as a stump of a tree. In life he was a full grown tree, in death he was cut down. Today we can trace this stump to the Yule Log. The Yule log has frequently been associated with having its origins in the historical Germanic paganism which was practiced across northern Europe prior to Christianization.

The serpent wrapped around the log restores Nimrod’s rebirth as the sun god Tammuz. (Tammuz is mentioned in Ezekiel 8.14) Sun god’s throughout history are: Nimrod, Helios, Mithras, and Tammuz, to name a few.

The Yule celebration in paganism celebrates the winter solstice and the return of the sun. Wreaths, the Yule log, and the divine tree which brings divine gifts. Unfortunately this is the basis of our Christmas celebration. It can be proven through scripture that Jesus was born during the feast of Tabernacles, which would have been in late September or early October. He was not born on December 25th. This Yule celebration was added to the Christian religion as a way to incorporate pagans into the religion. SUNday of course is the first day of the week on the Gregorian calendar and celebrates the sun. Finally, Yule means Infant day--the rebirth of Nimrod who rose again as the unconquered sun god.

We need to understand these things in order to understand our enemy and his wiles. You can cling to your religious beliefs and customs, but it does not change the facts. Mystery Babylon is mixture and our God does not want mixture in our lives. He wants us to be holy as he is holy and walk in his commandments. Deut 4:1-6

It is important for us to return to our Hebraic roots in order to understand the word of God and the book of Revelation.

The early church used the Old Testament to preach Jesus. The New Testament was not yet written. When Paul was writing his letters to the church he was explaining the Old Testament to gentile believers. The New Testament epistles are really a commentary on the Old Testament. They celebrated the Hebrew feasts and understood the Torah. As the apostles died off and the first three centuries passed by the church began to move away from the Hebraic roots of the faith.

Over time as Jews were persecuted and Christians moved away from the Hebrew roots in order to separate themselves from Jews and the persecution that would be associated with them. When the church became the state religion of Rome pagan holidays and calendar were incorporated over time.

If you can understand this and get beyond religion and dogma, the word will begin to open up in your life in a new way. We need to return to our roots. Jeremiah 2:14-19 and 3:12-14 speak to this. Also see Ezekiel 8 The Lord desires His people to return to their roots and back to the purity of our faith. The Old Testament is as meaningful to us as the New. We need to search ourselves in the light of the word and return to our true roots.

Rev 18:4 Come out of her my people and be not partaker of her sins.”
