AMERICA STAGGERING LIKE A DRUNKARD TOWARD JUDGEMENT

My heart within me is broken Because of the prophets; all my bones shake. I am like a drunken man, And like a man whom wine has overcome, Because of the Lord, and because of His holy words.
 For the land is full of adulterers; for because of a curse the land mourns. The pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up. Their course of life is evil, and their might is not right. “For both prophet and priest are profane;
Yes, in My house I have found their wickedness,” says the Lord. Jeremiah 23.9-11

This is not an article I want to write. It is probably an article you don’t want to read—but it is true. Our nation is staggering like a drunkard, grouping in confusion, stumbling down a dark path.

The Lord has mixed within her a spirit of confusion. [The leaders] have made Egypt stagger in all she does, as a drunkard staggers in his vomit. Isaiah 19.14

Confusion: We are confused in all areas of society. We cannot distinguish between a man and a woman. We have no respect for unborn innocents. We have no respect for the law. Lawlessness reigns in Washington D.C. and it is impossible to know what is true and that which is false—total confusion.

God has allowed us to be confused because we refuse to mediate on and keep His laws. God is not some sniveling old man waiting to judge us. He would rather we turn to Him as a nation. He has established what is right and what is wrong in His word. When we choose to go our own way and ignore His word we pay the penalty. (ref: Deut 28).

People love to blame God for all their problems. We are the ones who have asked Him to leave our schools, government, and society in general. God allows us to do what we want to do in the hope that we will come to our senses and turn to Him for guidance. We, as a society are so confused.

Sadly, America must be judged. We have fallen too far. I truly believe the fall elections of 2018 will determine the future course of the nation. The Millennial generation will be voting in force and this will most likely result in a turn to the left.

The Bible is a conservative book. It sets a standard of righteousness and justice which the world refuses to obey. This has nothing to do with politics or President Trump. We have already concluded that President Trump is not what you would call a “righteous man” but he does embody old school thinking on many issues.

Without the moral compass of the Word of God our nation will continue to stagger. The policies of the left often appear good, but they are against many Biblical principles. Abortion and LGBT are two that immediately come to mind. The things which were once considered “good” in America are now considered “evil” or hateful if you don’t agree. Soon you will not be able to peacefully disagree with the policies which are coming.

Financial shaking: Both political parties spend money like drunken sailors. Our national debt is beyond repair. The system must collapse. It is only a matter of when it will collapse. America’s God is money and credit and the piper will be paid. I’ve posted plenty of articles on this blog describing why our economy will collapse at some point.

War: The war drums are beating. Our leaders have become obsessed with thwarting Russia and China in all that they do. This is because our leaders know that China and Russia have all the gold. These two giants are rising in power and the only thing our politicians know to do is start a war with them.

Russia, China, and their allies are the hammer of God’s judgment on America. If we continue down this road of hubris towards them they will overcome us. God judges nations by allowing stronger nations to overcome them. When the nation becomes ungodly as we have become the hammer will fall. Our pride is going to be broken. America is no longer a righteous nation.

The Kingdom of God: We love America and what she once stood for. We weep for her. We find ourselves angry at her condition—but we all have contributed to this coming downfall.

We now understand that we are citizens of God’s kingdom. His kingdom does not function like the kingdoms of this world. Are we functioning as God’s kingdom? Sometimes it is difficult to tell. It is imperative that we begin functioning as God’s people.

We will be tried as things continue to fall apart all around us. We will need to stand upon the “Rock of God’s word” in the difficult days ahead. If you are wondering why your situation is difficult right now maybe God is trying to get your attention.

We all need to spend less time on Facebook and more time in God’s book. Wait on the Lord. Be still. Read His word and let it sink in. We are going to be tried in the fire. Judgment begins at the house of God. This judgment is for our benefit, so get prepared now, while things are stable. The shaking is intensifying.

It is also important to KNOW what you believe. Many believers do not really know what the scriptures say. They do not really know what they believe. They cannot explain to others in a clear way what they believe and WHY the scriptures say what they say. This would be a good place to start. Ask yourself what you believe and why.

This blog is a way to begin. It will stimulate your thinking. Allow the entire Bible, O.T and N.T. to interpret itself. Determine for yourself the difference between “tradition” and TRUTH. Ask the Father to teach you and confirm, confirm, confirm. Then be bold and speak up!
