UNITY THROUGH DIVISION – YAHWEH HAS HIS WAYS

Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household. Matt 10.34-36

For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4.12

Then after some days Paul said to Barnabas, “Let us now go back and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they are doing.”  Now Barnabas was determined to take with them John called Mark. But Paul insisted that they should not take with them the one who had departed from them in Pamphylia, and had not gone with them to the work. Then the contention became so sharp that they parted from one another. And so Barnabas took Mark and sailed to Cyprus; but Paul chose Silas and departed, being commended by the brethren to the grace of God. Acts 10.36-40

The ways of Yahweh are way over our heads! We try so hard to be unified and together that at times it becomes embarrassing. We try so hard to be unified that we allow deception and mixture in that taints our walk and our assemblies. We try so hard that we end up with political correct, empty, dead, assemblies.

Yah, works on another plain of wisdom far beyond the ways of men. What is the preaching of the Gospel? It is the good news of Yeshua’s sacrifice for our sins, His death, and resurrection from the grave. When preached in the anointing of the spirit and power it DIVIDES men’s hearts!

The word of God cuts through all the hypocrisy, pride, and lust of man. It divides asunder soul and spirit, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the wicked human heart. It produces repentance. It sifts our hearts.

Where is the preaching of this word taking place? Who is preaching it in the anointing and power of the spirit? Do you hear anything? The silence is deafening….

We cannot have unity until the thoughts and intentions of the heart of our assemblies have been CUT. That is, cut by the sword of the spirit. The word of God is a sword and it is two edged. It cuts going in and it divides as it comes out.

So many in our assemblies are trying so hard to be loving goody-goodies. They are phonies. They are wearing a mask. They need to be exposed by the sharp sword of God’s eternal word! They need to be cut up.

The proper preaching and teaching of the word by an anointed person will accomplish this. Let God move among the congregation by preaching the truth. Lets’ get the immorality, the porn, and the personal agenda’s in the assembly exposed by the word and cut out.

We do not have to be judgmental. Come on pastors, do your job! Are you afraid some members might leave? That is exactly what you should want--if they refuse to repent and clean up their walk. Judgment begins at the house of God by the pure preaching of the word. We cannot move in power with all the sin in our assemblies.

This will sift the wheat and blow away the chaff. This will divide out the false and begin to establish the truth in God’s house. Unity comes through division. Division is reduction to the mean—it is what some like to call the remnant.

It is Yahweh’s desire that our assemblies are pure in heart. We don’t have to go around pointing fingers at people—just preach the WORD and get rid of PC and the results will become evident. Repentance is the BEGINNING OF REVIVAL!
I once had a pastor friend who was the head of a group of pastors that were built around unity. I once asked him why they didn't take public stands on issues of the day. He replied that the group would no longer be unified if they tried that.

Let God divide our assemblies so we can begin to function in the spirit and truly speak in unity on the key issues--then we will be unified for real.

This may be messy at first, but it will produce fruit as Yahweh prunes our hearts. Let us be merciful to those who truly repent and say good-bye to those who wish to continue in obvious sin. When God is through with those who leave maybe they will come to repentance and come back—we will then welcome them back gladly.

Once the house has been divided and reduced it can then stand on the unified rock of the WORD and we can begin functioning in the power of the Spirit.
