THE MYSTERY OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD, THE RETURN OF YESHUA, AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE KINGDOM
The above topic is a lot to cover but we will do it briefly as a way for you to research yourself. If you understand the two houses; Judah and Ephraim, this will make sense. If you don’t understand search the blog as I’ve posted many articles on the “Lost Tribes of Israel.”
Yeshua told his disciples to take the Gospel of the Kingdom to the lost children of Israel: These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: “Do not go onto the road of the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans. Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel. As you go, preach this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven is near….Matt 10.5-7
At this time the Gospel was not entirely open to the “Gentiles” but after Yeshua’s death it would be.
The lost sheep of Israel are the ten northern tribes know as Israel. Judah is the tribe today known as the Jews. In 1 Kings 12 we read of the division of the kingdom then known as Israel. After they divided they were known as Judah (Jews) and Israel (Ephraim). As you read the Old Testament you see these terms: Judah, Ephraim, Israel, Jacob.
Ephraim was the leading tribe of the northern kingdom and King Jeroboam was an Ephraimite.
We all know how the northern kingdom was taken captive by Assyria, scattered throughout the Gentile nations, and lost their identity.
The southern Kingdom of Judah was later taken captive to Babylon and returned to the land. They are the modern Jewish nation called Israel today. They retained their Jewish culture and identity for the past 2,000 years.
The northern Kingdom of Israel were scattered throughout the gentile nations and lost their identity as Israelites as two millennia passed by. They are called Ephraim and Israel in the O.T.
The Book of Hosea details this situation very clearly. It is an important book to study to confirm this fact. Here are two examples:
Ephraim has mixed himself among the peoples; Ephraim is a cake unturned. Aliens have devoured his strength, but he does not know it; yes, gray hairs are here and there on him, yet he does not know it. And the pride of Israel testifies to his face, but they do not return to the Lord their God, nor seek Him for all this. Hosea 7.8-10
Ephraim has been scattered among the “peoples” or nations and has forgotten who he is…”Aliens have devoured his strength.”
Judah, the Jews has to be reunited with Ephraim, their lost brothers:
“Yet the number of the children of Israel(Gentiles) shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured or numbered. And it shall come to pass In the place where it was said to them, ‘You are not My people,’ There it shall be said to them,‘You are sons of the living God.’ Then the children of Judah and the children of Israel Shall be gathered together, and appoint for themselves one head (Yeshua); and they shall come up out of the land, for great will be the day of Jezreel!(the united kingdom). Hosea 1.10-11
This, in a nutshell, is the Mystery of the Kingdom of God. The divided nation of Judah (Jews) and Ephraim (Gentiles) must be reunited in the future return of King Yeshua. Read Ezekiel 37.15-28.
In 1948 when the modern nation of Israel was established the Jewish people named the country Israel. President Harry Truman, who was a supporter of the new state, was surprised that the Jewish people named the country Israel. He thought they would name it Judea.
It was prophetic that the Jewish people named the new born nation Israel. They did not realize that they were naming the new country after the restored kingdom. Once Judah and Ephraim are rejoined they become Israel!
Today the reuniting of the two houses—Judah and Israel—is a mystery to the world. This will not be totally fulfilled until King Yeshua returns and brings about the unification spoken of in Ezekiel 37.15-28.
Going back to the time of Yeshua, this is why he told the disciples to go to the lost sheep of Israel. He was speaking of the lost tribes of the northern kingdom who had lost their identity among the “peoples” as it says in Hosea.
Once Yeshua was crucified and risen he sent the disciples to the world to preach the “Gospel of the Kingdom” to all nations. This would now include all Gentiles throughout the world (who are to be grafted in).
Over the past 2,000 years the lost tribes of the northern kingdom have mingled with the gentile nations and lost their identities. If you do a DNA test you may discover you have some Israelite/Jewish relatives!
The Apostle Paul understood these things. In Romans 9 through 11 he describes how his brother Jews have been blinded and how the gentiles have been grafted into Israel. Note that he did not say grafted into Judah! Paul was speaking of the coming reunification of the divided kingdom—together they are Israel.
The main stream Christian denominations have no idea about any of this, nor do most of them want to take the time to understand it. Their eyes have been blinded.
The mystery of the kingdom is our coming reunification with Judah. This is now beginning with many Christians becoming aware of their Hebraic roots and discovering their destiny as part of the “United Kingdom.”
The “church” wants little to do with the Hebraic roots of their faith at this time. They think Jews and Christians are two different groups little realizing what our grafting into Israel really means.
They are on the Roman calendar. They are on Roman time. They celebrate the Roman feasts. They refuse to search the scriptures in order to understand their roots and why they are on the wrong feasts and calendar.
The Biblical calendar contains all the mysteries of the kingdom.
The Biblical feasts contain end time information, especially the fall feasts of Trumpets (Yom Teruah) Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur), and Tabernacles (Sukkot). These feasts are dress rehearsals for the return of King Yeshua! These are describing the Tribulation and return of Yeshua to save us!
The “church” has no clue.
But the day will come when many will see and return to their roots. Hosea sums it up for us:
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for me; because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. Hosea 4.6
That is a serious warning, is it not?
