ADDITIONAL BLOOD VERSES
For those of you who have read the prior
two posts and enjoy study here are some additional verses on the subject of
blood. Blood is very precious to God. Shedding innocent blood is an abomination
unto the Lord. This is why abortion is especially abominable to our God. He
will forgive sins of the past—but it is important as you become a disciple of
Yehshua that you understand all lives matter! This study of blood should help
you understand the reasons for many of Yahweh’s commandments.
For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given
it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the
blood that maketh an atonement for the soul. Lev 17.11
And he said, “What hast thou done? The voice of thy
brother’s blood cries unto me from the ground. And now thou
art cursed from the earth, which has opened her mouth to receive thy brother’s
blood from thy hand; Gen 4.10-11
But flesh with the life thereof, which is
the blood thereof, shall ye not eat. And surely your blood of
your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at
the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of
man. Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed:
for in the image of God made he man. Gen 9.4-6
In reference to Revelation 16.3-7:
Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about
thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be
overpast. For, behold, the Lord cometh out of his place to punish
the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose
her blood, and shall no more cover her slain. Is 26.20-21
And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh;
and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all
flesh shall know that I the Lord am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty
One of Jacob. Is 49.26
Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from
Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of
his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save. Wherefore
art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the
winefat? I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people
there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them
in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will
stain all my raiment. Is 63.1-3
The word of the Lord which came to Jeremiah the prophet
against the Gentiles…For this is the day of the Lord God of hosts, a day of
vengeance,
that he may avenge him of his adversaries: and the sword shall devour, and it
shall be satiate and made drunk with their blood: for the Lord God
of hosts hath a sacrifice in the north country by the river Euphrates. Jeremiah
46.1; 10
Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall
be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah,
because they have shed innocent blood in their land. Joel 3.19
And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of
their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land
was polluted with blood. Ps 106.38
So ye shall not pollute the land wherein ye are: for blood
it defileth the land: and the land cannot be cleansed of the blood that is shed
therein, but by the blood of him that shed it. Num 33.35
And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people,
and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the Lord hath made with you
concerning all these words. Ex 24.8
And the people flew upon the spoil, and took sheep, and
oxen, and calves, and slew them on the ground: and the people did eat them with
the blood. Then they told Saul, saying, Behold, the people sin
against the Lord, in that they eat with the blood. And he said, “Ye have
transgressed: roll a great stone unto me this day. 1 Sam 32-33
Then said he unto me, “The iniquity of the house of Israel
and Judah is exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full
of perverseness: for they say, The Lord hath forsaken the earth, and the Lord
seeth not. Ezek 9.9
And I will judge thee, as women that break wedlock and shed
blood are judged; and I will give thee blood in fury and jealousy. Ezek 16.38
Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and
reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Hephzibah…And he made his
son pass through the fire, and observed times, and used enchantments, and dealt
with familiar spirits and wizards: he wrought much wickedness in the sight of
the Lord, to provoke him to anger…Because Manasseh king of Judah
hath done these abominations, and hath done wickedly above all that the
Amorites did, which were before him, and hath made Judah also to sin with his idols…Moreover
Manasseh shed innocent blood very much, till he had filled Jerusalem from one
end to another; beside his sin wherewith he made Judah to sin, in
doing that which was evil in the sight of the Lord. 2 kings 21.1; 6; 11; 16
Psalm 106.28-41
28 They joined themselves also unto
Baalpeor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead.
29 Thus they provoked him to anger with
their inventions: and the plague brake in upon them.
30 Then stood up Phinehas, and executed
judgment: and so the plague was stayed.
31 And that was counted unto him for
righteousness unto all generations for evermore.
32 They angered him also at the waters of
strife, so that it went ill with Moses for their sakes:
33 Because they provoked his spirit, so that
he spake unadvisedly with his lips.
34 They did not destroy the nations,
concerning whom the Lord commanded them:
35 But were mingled among the heathen, and
learned their works.
36 And they served their idols: which were a
snare unto them.
37 Yea,
they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils,
38 And shed
innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they
sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood.
39 Thus were they defiled with their own
works, and went a whoring with their own inventions.
40 Therefore
was the wrath of the Lord kindled against his people, insomuch that he abhorred
his own inheritance.
41 And he gave them into the hand of the
heathen; and they that hated them ruled over them.
