JACOB’S
TROUBLE AND THE CONTROVERSY OF ZION CONTINUED
PART TWO
In this
post we will look at the history of the issue of the Controversy of the Land
and Jacob’s Trouble. Review the previous post on the controversy.
The word of
God is immutable and unchanging. He alone has given the land to all Israel. He promised it
to Abraham and his descendants through Isaac: And Abram said, Lord GOD, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless
(with Sarah), and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus? And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed;
and, behold, one born in my house is my heir.
And then the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, This
shall not be thy heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels
shall be thy heir. And he brought him forth abroad and said, Look now toward
the heavens and count the stars, if thou art able to number them. And he said
unto him, So shall thy seed be.
And he believed the LORD, and he
counted it to him for righteousness. And he said unto him, I am the LORD that brought thee
out of Ur of the Chaldees to give thee this land to inherit it.
Abraham also
had a son, Ishmael with Hagar. Ishmael would have 12 sons and God blessed them
with great areas of land and riches. To this day the Arab lands are rich in oil
and they prosper. Below is a map of all the land the Arabs have received from
Elohim. Sitting in the middle is the tiny modern State of Israel.
None of the Arab nations will allow
the Palestinians to immigrate to their lands. They do not want any of them for
various reasons. Looking at this map and realizing the vast land Elohim has
blessed the Arab nations with He cannot be pleased with them. His judgment upon
them at the end of this age will be severe.
I must clarify here that not all the Palestinian people agree with Hamas. Hamas is the "elected” leader of the Palestinian people but they are not really looking out for them. The Lord warned Israel that if they disobeyed His Law (Lev 26; Deut 28) they would
be temporarily thrown out of the land until they repented. God is a strict
parent but also a merciful parent. He is quick to show mercy when we humble
ourselves before Him.
The House of
Judah was taken captive by Assyria around 720 BC and never returned to the
land. 1
Kings 11 and 12 explain how the nation of Israel was divided into
the House of Judah and the House of Israel. 2 Kings 24-41 describes how the King of Assyria relocated the
northern tribes and replaced them with other people.
These tribes are referred to as the “Lost Tribes of Israel”
and lost their identity among the Gentile nations: Ephraim, he has mixed himself among the peoples; Ephraim is a cake not
turned. Strangers
have devoured his strength, and he does not know it; yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, yet he does not
understand. Hosea
7.8-9 In fact, the entire book of Hosea addresses this issue of lost
identity. Ephraim was the tribe that ruled the northern kingdom of Israel.
Ephraim = the northern kingdom in scripture.
Later around
586 BC the southern kingdom of the House of Judah was taken captive to Babylon.
2 Kings 25
and 25 detail this event.
As we are
familiar with history we know the Jewish people, the House of Judah never lost
their identity for two thousand years and returned to the land. Later, in 1948,
they became the modern State of Israel through a vote in the United Nations.
The United Nations proposed that Israel should have a
portion and the indigent Palestinians, who never were a nation but nomads under
Turkish control, should also be given a separate area state in the land. The
Jews accepted the U.N. deal but the Palestinians refused. They refused a two state deal in 1948!
Six Arab nations attacked Israel in May of 1948 and through
radio broadcasts told the Palestinians to leave their homes in order that the
six nation coalition could wipe out the Jews and clear the land. Then, the
Palestinians could return and have it all. This is the true history the media
neglects to tell us.
We all know that it didn’t work that way as the small army of Jewish
fighters won a great victory. Since that time the Hamas have one thing
in mind along with other Arab nations such as Iran—to annihilate the Jews and
take all the land.
That is the simple explanation of the current controversy.
Many wars have been fought since 1948 and the Jews have maintained their
presence in the land. Hamas say they want peace but they only want
to annihilate the State of Israel forever. That is why only the second coming
of Yeshua can bring resolution and peace to the land.
If you understand this you see how difficult it will be to
ever have a true and honest peace. This is the Controversy of Zion which will lead to
Jacob’s Trouble.
Are the Jews without sin? No. They would be willing to co-exist
but the Hamas speaks out of both sides of their mouth…they will not be
happy until Israel is totally destroyed.
We are now beginning to see unprecedented Anti-Semitism rising up around the world like never before since the Holocaust. The world is going to rise up against the State of Israel and the Jews in the coming years.
We also
understand and see the surrounding Arab nations want no part of their
Palestinian brothers. It’s not like there is not enough land! They want to use
the Palestinians to their advantage. Why take them in?
God has blessed both parties. He has given the Jews/Israel a
tiny portion and He has given Ishmael a huge area. The nations are raging (Ps 2)
because they refuse to accept God’s decision on the division of land.
No matter
what the nations, the world, the USA, or United Nations says or attempts to do,
it will not work. There is only one solution. Yeshua must return and settle it.
We have a
situation that is going to lead to much sorrow and pain to the inhabitants of
this Earth. Yeshua is going to come with His host of angels and chastise the
entire world for their stiff necked opposition to His will for those to whom He
has given the land. This is the hidden meaning of the Book of Revelation and
why those events will occur.
The Jewish
people are not without sin in this controversy. They have rejected their
Messiah Yeshua. They have created a secular state that is sinful and
disobedient to Elohim (God). Tel Aviv is promoted as the “Gay Capital of the
World.” The nation really only gives lip service to Jehovah their Elohim. They
too will be chastised as written in Leviticus 26 and Deuteronomy 28.
The
“Christian Church” has persecuted and denied Jews for centuries. Many
denominations and the Catholic Church support those who desire to destroy
Israel. The Pope wants to have control of the Holy Land and so does the Arab
world. We are heading headlong toward Armageddon! Evil intentions are at work.
There is a Controversy in Zion. Jacob is heading for Trouble. The issue of the ages will soon come to a head
and Almighty God is going to roar from Zion: The LORD also shall roar out of Zion and utter his voice from Jerusalem;
and the heavens and the earth shall shake; but the LORD will be the hope of his people
and the strength of the sons of Israel. Joel 3:16
