THE WORD OF GOD GUIDES US DURING THESE TIMES OF POLITICAL AND SOCIAL UPHEAVAL

As we enter the New Year here are some scriptures that help us understand the times we are living in. The Word of God is full of political intrigue, unrighteous activity by the ruling (political class) elites, and immorality. The following short explanations from the books of the prophets prove God is involved and aware of our present times.

Book of Isaiah relates to current world events

In Judaism Isaiah is a highly regarded and quoted book.

The first 5 chapters are highly representative of the current condition of America.

1. Isaiah’s message to Judah was to not rely on alliances with other nations for protection but to rely on Elohim to protect them.

2. He criticized the growth of large estates owned by the aristocrats (today: elites, wealthy politicians, large corporations) which impoverish the populace. He warned against the hubris or haughtiness of the rich.

3. He emphasized moral social and economic justice in accordance with Elohim’s Torah—not the schemes of the worldly.

4. Judah/Israel’s enemies would be punished for their haughtiness and unrighteousness—but not because they attacked Judah/Israel. After all, they attacked as Elohim’s instrument of chastisement/punishment on them. The nations would be punished for their idolatry and sinfulness—just as Judah/Israel were.

Once the nations are punished they would also be restored and recognize the One True God and the world would live in peace.

5. Isaiah (chapter 5) saw the corruption of the ruling class clearly. “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”

6. He (chapter 5) warned of the coming judgment coming to Judah. “For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah are His pleasant plant. He looked for justice, but behold, oppression; For righteousness, but behold, a cry for help.

And now, please let Me tell you what I will do to My vineyard: I will take away its hedge, and it shall be burned; And break down its wall, and it shall be trampled down. I will lay it waste; It shall not be pruned or dug, But there shall come up briers and thorns.

7. Isaiah refers repeatedly to the “remnant of Israel” who would survive the judgment of Elohim. The nation would be judged for their sinfulness, disobedience, idolatry just as the nations would. The remnant would be the kernel or seed from which the purified Judah/Israel would emerge.

And it shall come to pass in that day That the remnant of Israel, And such as have escaped of the house of Jacob, will never again depend on him who defeated them, But will depend on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, in truth. The remnant will return, the remnant of Jacob, To the Mighty God. Isaiah 10.20-21

8. This (chapter 9) would be the dawn of a new era of peace on earth. Each nation would go to war no more and be content with the boundaries Elohim has given to them. They would not covet the resources of other nations. The coming King would rule over this new era. The later chapters of Isaiah are full of Millennial Kingdom descriptions.

Jeroboam II Reigns in Israel is a type of how President Trump is God’s man

2 Kings 14.23-27 - In the fifteenth year of Amaziah the son of Joash, king of Judah, Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel, became king in Samaria, and reigned forty-one years. And he did evil in the sight of the Lord; he did not depart from all the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who had made Israel sin. He restored the territory of Israel from the entrance of Hamath to the Sea of the Arabah, according to the word of the Lord God of Israel, which He had spoken through His servant Jonah the son of Amittai, the prophet who was from Gath Hepher. For the Lord saw that the affliction of Israel was very bitter; and whether bond or free, there was no helper for Israel. And the Lord did not say that He would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven; but He saved them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Joash.

This amazing scripture explains how God has been using President Trump to “save America” in these turbulent times. Even though Jeroboam is said to have “done evil in the sight of the Lord” the Lord was using him to temporarily save Israel! This is a type of how God is using President Trump to give America a final chance.

Many have compared President Trump to Cyrus, King of Persia. President Trump is much more a type of Jeroboam! Jeroboam rebuilt Israel’s infrastructure and brought prosperity to the nation for 41 years. God saw that Israel’s affliction was great and he used this ungodly king to usher in a short period of prosperity before judgment came upon the nation.

Many believers do not understand how God is using President Trump to warn us and test us. If the corrupt government of those who would destroy America are allowed to maintain power judgment will come quickly upon us all.

To me as I read this scripture I see America’s current condition. I believe the wickedness of the nation will be exposed for all to see and understand. President Trump may yet be President again when the people understand all the lies that have been told to us by the media, corporate, medical, and political establishment which President Trump has been exposing since the 2020 rigged election.

I believe we will see a short period of prosperity if the wicked are exposed and held accountable, but if our nation and people do not repent and follow through there will be severe judgment upon our nation.

Scripture shows this is exactly what happened to Israel and Judah when they turned away from Yahweh. Our mighty Elohim works in mysterious ways but will always reveal His ways to us in the Bible. We serve and amazing God.

Blessing and hope for the coming New Year! Our God reigns!
