BOOKS, RESURRECTION, AND BECOMING A LEGAL EXPERT

A guide to allowing the written word to interpret itself.

O.T. Strong’s #5612 book = as a scroll or tablet; evidence, deed

                        #5609 Ezra 4.15, record, archive

N.T. Strong’s #975 book, certificate

N.T. Strong’s #2041 Works = works, deed, activity, doing, labor

A fiery stream issued and came forth from before Him. Thousand thousands ministered unto Him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened. Dan 7.10

In the first year of his reign I, Daniel, came to understand by books the number of the years, according to the word of the Lord as it came to Jeremiah the prophet, that He would spend seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem. Dan 9.2

Then Moses returned unto the LORD and said, I pray thee, for, this people who have sinned a great sin and have made themselves gods of gold, that thou wilt forgive their sin; and if not, blot me now out of thy book which thou hast written. And the LORD answered unto Moses, Whoever has sinned against me, this one will I blot out of my book. Exodus 32.31-33

Peradventure there shall be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turns away today from the LORD our God to go and serve the gods of those Gentiles; peradventure there shall be among you a root that bears poison and wormwood; and it shall be, when that one hears the words of this curse, that he blesses himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of my heart, to add drunkenness to thirst. The LORD will not forgive him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from under heaven. And the LORD shall separate him unto evil out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in this book of the law. Deuteronomy 29.18-21

That search may be made in the book of the records of our fathers; so shalt thou find in the book of the records and know that this city is a rebellious city and hurtful unto kings and provinces and that from old time they form rebellions in the midst of her, for which cause this city was destroyed. Ezra 4.15

For they persecute him whom thou hast smitten, and they boast that thou hast slain their enemies. Add iniquity unto their iniquity, and let them not come into thy righteousness. Let them be blotted out of the book of the living and not be written with the righteous. But I am poor and sorrowful; let thy saving health, O God, set me up on high. Ps 69.26-29

Thine eyes did see my substance yet being imperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which were then formed, without lacking one of them. Ps 139.16

Seek ye out that which is written in the book of the LORD and read; Isaiah 34.16a

Then those that feared the LORD spoke one to another, and the LORD hearkened and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for those that feared the LORD and for those that think in his name. Malachi 3.16

¶ And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince who is for the sons of thy people, and it shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there were people until now, but in that time thy people shall escape, all those that are found written in the book. And many of those that sleep in the dust of the earth shall be awakened, some for eternal life, and some for shame and everlasting confusion.

And those that understand shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and those that teach righteousness to the multitude as the stars in perpetual eternity. But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end: many shall pass by, and knowledge shall be multiplied. Dan 12.1-4

And I saw the dead, great and small, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened; which is the book of life; and the dead were judged by those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and Hades delivered up the dead which were in them; and the judgment of each one was according to their works. And Hades and death were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Revelation 20.12-15

RESURRECTION IN REGARD TO THE BOOKS

Daniel 12.1-4

And thou shall go to the end and shalt rest, and thou shalt raise up in thy lot {or in thine inheritance} at the end of the days. Daniel 12.13

For we know that if our earthly house, this tabernacle, were dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed about with our house which is from Heaven, that, being so clothed, we shall not be found naked.

For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened, not because we would be unclothed, but clothed about, that mortality might be swallowed up by life. Now He that hath wrought us for this selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the pledge of the Spirit.

Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord; for we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. Therefore we labor, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted by Him.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to what he hath done, whether it be good or bad. 2 Corinthians 5.1-10

That I may know him and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death, if by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. Philippians 3.10-11

For our citizenship is in heaven, from where we also look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall transform our vile body; that it may be fashioned like unto the body of his glory, according to the working by which he is also able to subdue all things unto himself. Philippians 3.20-21

Our citizenship is recorded in heaven---where we are looking for the return of our King—we receive immortal bodies upon our resurrection. There is no pre-tribulation rapture…there is only one second coming when He returns and resurrects us from the dead after those days of tribulation. Ref: Matthew 24.29

But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasures up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, who will render to everyone according to his deeds: to those who persevered in well doing, glory and honour and incorruption, to those who seek eternal life; but unto those that are contentious and do not obey the truth, but are persuaded by unrighteousness, indignation and wrath.

Tribulation and anguish shall be upon every human soul that does evil, the Jew first and also the Greek; Romans 2.5-11

Women received their dead raised to life again, and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance that they might obtain a better resurrection. Hebrews 11.35

BECOME A LEGAL EXPERT

When searching the Scriptures proceed as if you were a lawyer reading the law (in this case the Torah) to find how to prosecute your case. Look in all places for evidence which supports other areas of the law. This is exactly what King David had to do when he attempted to move the ark and Uzza was killed in an accident:

…let us bring again the ark of our God to us, for from the time of Saul we have not paid attention to it. And all the congregation said to do so, for the thing seemed right in the eyes of all the people.

So David gathered all Israel together, from Shihor of Egypt even unto the entering of Hemath, to bring the ark of God from Kirjathjearim… And they carried the ark of God in a new cart out of the house of Abinadab, and Uzza and his brother drove the cart. And David and all Israel played before God with all their might, with songs and with harps and with psalteries and with timbrels and with cymbals and with trumpets.

¶And when they came unto the threshing floor of Chidon, Uzza put forth his hand to hold the ark, for the oxen stumbled. And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzza, and he smote him because he had put his hand to the ark, and there he died before God.

And David was displeased because the LORD had made a breach upon Uzza; therefore, that place is called Perezuzza to this day. And David was afraid of God that day, saying, How shall I bring the ark of God home to me?

So David did not bring the ark home to himself to the city of David but carried it to the house of Obededom, the Gittite. And the ark of God remained with the household of Obededom in his house three months.1 Chronicles 13.1-5; 7-14

David was angry at God that Uzza was killed while trying to keep the ark from falling to the ground. He decided to leave the Ark where it was until he could figure out how to move it to Jerusalem. He went back and searched the Torah for the answer on how to move the Ark of Elohim. What did King David learn?

And thou shalt put the staves into the rings by the sides of the ark that the ark may be borne with them. The staves shall be in the rings of the ark; they shall not be taken from it…the sons of Kohath shall come to bear it, but they shall not touch any holy thing, lest they die… because the ministry of the sanctuary belonging unto them was that they should bear upon their shoulders. Exodus 25.14-15; Numbers 4.15; Numbers 7.8

King David learned from searching the word that he was wrong in the method he was using to move the Ark. The Ark is not to be moved on a cart with Oxen but to have staves put through the rings and be borne on the shoulders of the Kohathites.

David then moved the Ark according to what was written in the WORD: And David made houses for himself in the city of David and prepared a place for the ark of God and pitched a tent for it. Then David said, “The ark of God should not be brought except by the Levites, for the LORD has chosen them to carry the ark of God and to minister unto him perpetually.” And David also called for Zadok and Abiathar, the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah, Joel, Shemaiah, Eliel, and Amminadab, and said unto them,

“Ye are the chief of the fathers among the Levites; sanctify yourselves and your brethren and bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel unto the place that I have prepared for it, for because ye did not do it thus at the first, the LORD our God made a breach upon us because we did not seek him according to his ordinance.”

So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel. And the sons of the Levites bore the ark of God upon their shoulders with the staves, as Moses had commanded according to the word of the LORD. 1 Chronicles 15.1-2; 1 Chronicles 15.11-15

We need to become legal experts in interpreting and understanding the WRITTEN WORD. Allow the WORD to interpret itself. Read verses in proper context. If the word does not make anything clear we must understand it in its ambiguity and not make up something we want it to say or believe it should say.

There are some areas of the word that are not clear…keep seeking an answer.
