PART TWO OF: WASHINGTON DC A PAGAN STAR
CITY
Continuing with our study of “The Secret Architecture of
Our Nation’s Capital” by David Ovason
Mr. Ovason’s writing will be in black and mine will be in blue.
Our purpose is to be able to interpret the end times and
the financial and political events now occurring in the US and world. This may
seem a strange way to approach, but that is for you to determine. We are headed
for some difficult times as the forces of darkness work to bring “Order out of
Chaos.”
I am a Patriot and love America. I also value truth and
desire to understand current events. We must begin at the beginning in order to
understand the end. Isaiah 46.10
Pg. 360-61 – When the ancient Egyptians oriented their
temples toward specific stars, they were not dealing in abstractions-they were
literally inviting the stellar gods to participate beneficially in their
earthly life. This is the same thought during the medieval period.
To understand the Masonic approach to this astrological use
of fixed stars (foundation and cornerstones are two), we must understand that
the cosmic bodies are visualized as living beings. The ceremonies performed at
building foundations are inviting these cosmic beings to participate in
the moment of foundation (or birth of the building).
Those who arranged things so that the images of Virgo should
predominate in the public zodiacs in Washington, DC, and during foundation and
cornerstone ceremonies, understood that they were inviting spiritual beings to
direct the destiny of the city!
The first century Egyptian astrologer Ptolemy did not
actually say that spiritual beings rule places on earth, but this was clearly implicit
in his list of ruler-ships. Even in his day astrologers believed the stars, planets,
and zodiac were alive—spiritual entities in their own right. Ptolemy knew what
we have tended to forget in modern times—the
very word zodiac is from the Greek root “zoon”, which means “living beings.”
Looking at this from a Biblical standpoint, we begin to
understand deception. Deception is always based upon truth. The truth is
twisted to meet haSatan’s way. Look at Ephesians 6.10-18:
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the
power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God that ye may
be able to stand firm against
the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and
blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the lords of this
age, rulers of this darkness, against spiritual wickedness in the heavens.
Therefore, take unto you the whole armor of God that ye
may be able to withstand in the evil day and stand fast, all the work
having been finished. Stand firm, therefore, having your loins girt about with truth and
having on the breastplate of righteousness, and your feet shod
with the preparation of the gospel of peace, above all, taking
the shield of faith, with which ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts
of the wicked.
And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the
Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all
prayer and supplication in the Spirit and watching in this with all
perseverance and supplication for all the saints.
We see that there are principalities and powers in the heavens,
but they are the often adversaries of Yahweh. We do not look to them for
guidance or blessing. Paganism denies the one true God. Men are looking to
multiple beings for blessing and guidance. The first Commandment is: “There is
no other God but me.”
Pg. 284 – Once again…we are faced with the fact that those
who guided the development of the US had no wish to introduce sectarian religion
into their program, found themselves facing certain difficulties. They
found it difficult to institute models derived from the ancient mystery wisdom
of Greece and Rome without appearing to pay lip service to the later,
Christianized, versions of this same mystery wisdom. This explains why, even
today, it is possible to see Washington, DC, as a representative of both pagan
and Christian streams of thinking.
What I am beginning to see is how paganism has
infiltrated the religion of Christianity from the beginning. The Greek and
Roman mindset began taking over even before the Apostles died. Look at 3 John
1-9
The elder unto the well beloved Gaius, whom I
love in the truth. Beloved, I wish that thou be prospered in
all things and be sound, even as thy soul prospers.
For I rejoiced greatly when the brethren came
and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou dost walk in the
truth. I have no greater joy than this, to hear that my sons walk in the truth. Beloved,
thou doest faithfully whatever thou doest regarding the brethren and with the
strangers, who have borne witness of thy charity before the
congregation, whom if thou wilt help them as is convenient according to God,
thou shalt do well; because for his name’s sake, they went
forth, taking nothing of the Gentiles. We, therefore, ought to
receive such, that we might be fellow workers to the truth.
I wrote unto the congregation, but Diotrephes,
who loves to have the preeminence among them, did not receive us. Therefore,
if I come, I will cause his deeds to be understood, speaking against us with
malicious words, and not content with this, he does not receive the brethren
and forbids those that desire to receive them and casts them out of the
congregation. Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that
which is good. He that does good is of God, but he that does evil has not seen
God.
We see that John is no longer welcome to come
and teach. A Greek, Diotrephes, has taken control of the congregation! By the
time of Emperor Constantine (325 AD), the church was embracing pagan feasts and
traditions, incorporating them into Christianity.
Pg. 385–86 - In his detailed development of the Isis theme,
Albert Pike shows that the complex rites of Isis throw a great deal of light on
the later development of Marian iconology. As queen of the Underworld, she was
the Black Virgin of pre-Christian times. As goddess of maternity, and the Great
Mother, she was depicted with the sun god Horus as a child—sometimes with the
child clasped to her breast. As a deity of the sea, she was shown alongside
sailboats, reminding us of the later name for the Virgin as Stella Maris.
This explains why a sailing ship is often found in images of
Isis. In some images, Isis is shown with the dog-star Anubis, and with other
stars as emblem of her celestial origins. In this symbolism the significance of
the Virgo-Pisces symbolism begins to emerge from the Christian Mysteries. Virgo
may be seen as the type of the feminine, while Pisces is associated with
Christ, the male type. Above them is God the all-seeing mediator.
Look carefully at medieval art and we begin to see how
many of these symbols begin to appear. The ancient esoteric mystery wisdom is
already influencing this art. Remember, the medieval period was rife with
wizards and soothsayers. Only the church clergy could read—and holy Bibles were
written in Latin. The commoner still believed in many pagan ideals and the
church itself was celebrating pagan feasts and worshipping the goddess “Mary” a
reincarnation of Isis-Virgo.
Within this triangle we see Virgo, Pisces, and
the all-seeing eye of God implied (Eye of Horus). Virgo is always connected with
the idea of the triangle. A thousand years before Christ, ancient Egyptian
texts in the Temple of Isis at Giza called the goddess, “Mistress of the
Pyramids.” The
idea of the Federal Triangle in DC.
We have to understand the symbols which were being
manipulated by those involved in esoteric schools at the end of the 18th
century. These are the individuals who designed Washington DC to be a star
city.
This 18th century symbolism was permeated with
Egyptian notions. This gave rise to a whole new body of architectural forms
which still grace the inner and outer temples of many Masonic buildings. In
Washington DC, two guardian sphinxes are outside the House of the Temple.
The five pointed stars on the US flag can be traced back to
an Egyptian Hieroglyphic linked with spiritual beings. Truth is, many symbols
from the ancient mystery wisdom of the Egyptians were adopted into Christian
lore and later Christian art. Almost all Christian symbols and art forms were
at one time or another pagan. They were incorporated from the ancient mysteries
which were dominate in Greece, Rome, Anatolia, and the Middle East.
Many of our founding fathers believed in God but were
deists. They believed in a supreme being, but not necessarily that Jesus was
the son of God. In fact, Thomas Jefferson created his own Bible. He cut out all
the miracles of Jesus and all references to Jesus as Son of God.
He thought Christianity was a religion of worth—but was
not a true believer.
Secret Societies and the Masonic Craft were very popular
in the 18th and 19th centuries. Many of the elite of that
time were members. This time was also the time of the age of reason. Reason was
“god” and man could self- improve through reason and virtue. They did not
believe in salvation by grace.
Does this mean God has not blessed America? NO! America
has been blessed and used by God in many wonderful ways. The fact is that the
ruler of this world is haSatan for the time being. He has constantly been
sowing his tares, even in the founding of America and Washington DC.
Our founders were not as “Christian” as we have been
taught in school. Many of them were members of secret societies and had
embraced ancient pagan wisdom. This is especially seen in the planning of
Washington DC.
In order to understand spiritual warfare, the strategy of
the enemy, and coming prophetic events we must understand from a big picture
scenario. We also must “understand the beginning in order to understand the
end.” Isaiah 46.10
We need to understand the true beginning of our nation in
order to understand its place in the end times. America has done much good in
the world since its inception. The question we must ask is “Which God was the
country dedicated to?”
We are beginning to see things in a different light.
The next post will tour the Federal Triangle, the many
zodiacs there, and the esoteric meaning of this area. It is quite interesting.
Later we will try to understand what Yahweh has planned
for the United States as the world moves toward the second coming of Yeshua.
