REVISTING
MATTHEW 24 AND THE RETURN OF OUR MESSIAH
What Yeshua told his
disciples about the end of this age and his imminent return to Jerusalem.
Jesus Predicts the Destruction of the Temple
Then Jesus
went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him
the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said to
them, “Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone
shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down.”
The
temple was totally destroyed, only the foundation wall remains.
The Signs of the Times and the End of the Age
Now as He
sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately,
saying, “Tell us, when will hese
things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of
the end of the age?”
The
question is “When is your coming and the end of this age? We must read
carefully. What Yeshua says and does not say is crucial to our understanding!
And Jesus
answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many
will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. And
you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled;
for all these
things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation
will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences,
and earthquakes in various places. All these are the
beginning of sorrows.
These
beginnings of sorrow have been happening for two thousand years and will
continue. A thousand years is as a day in Elohim’s count!
“Then they
will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all
nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be
offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many
false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And
because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But
he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel
of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the
nations, and then the end will come.
First,
he is telling the disciples what is going to happen to them. This applies to
all who follow: tribulation, possible death for believing, betrayal, and hate.
Lawlessness certainly abounds in our nation and the world at a whole new level
of depravity!
We
must endure until the end. Where is he telling them and us that there will be
an escape rapture? We are to continue preaching the gospel of the kingdom
through all of these troubles. There is no rapture as we will understand as we
continue to read.
The Great Tribulation
“Therefore
when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the
prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him
understand), “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let
him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. And
let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. But woe
to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! And
pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath.
First,
Yeshuah is warning them of the coming destruction of the temple. The Romans are
going to desecrate and burn the temple. He is telling them to watch and flee
Jerusalem when the Roman Army approaches. Get out of town! If a woman is
pregnant and nursing it will be an extreme hardship on them. Fleeing in winter
or unprepared on a Sabbath would also be a hardship.
There are many opinions on whether or not an end time Temple will be built in Jerusalem. We know that the Rabbi’s are preparing to sacrifice a red heifer. The abomination of desolation sounds like an idol of some sort that is set up in the same area as a Temple or a sacrifice.
For then
there will
be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of
the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days
were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake
those days will be shortened.
This
is a dual prophecy. The destruction of the temple was the beginning of the
dispersion of Judah and the end of their time in the Holy Land until regathering
in 1948. That time qualifies as great tribulation.
He
is also prophesying about the trouble which will befall the current nation of
Israel at the end of this age. All prophecy can be dual.
The
scriptures say Judah will be dispersed and return again. We have seen their
return in 1948. The next phase is Jacob’s Trouble and the Controversy of Zion.
Begin here: https://burningbush647.blogspot.com/2023/10/
“Then if
anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do
not believe it. For false christs
and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if
possible, even the elect. See, I have told you beforehand.
This
was and is a warning to all Believers throughout the ages. It will be
especially prevalent during the tribulation years which are still to come.
“Therefore
if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He
is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it. For as the
lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming
of the Son of Man be. For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will
be gathered together.
So many false prophets throughout the time since Yeshuah told the disciples and us to watch for this. When He returns it will be like lightning striking. The carcass will be Jerusalem at the end of this age. The eagles and birds of prey circle a dead corpse.
This is a serious warning about where and when Yehshua will appear. There are so many opinions concerning the end days and where and when he will come. The best approach is to develop our personal relationship with our Messiah/Father and continue our daily lives watching, praying and honoring the feasts of the Lord as described in Leviticus 23.
Turn off the noise and seek Him and his word. It will be an awful time—but he is assuring us he will come! Read Zechariah 12 through 14 for information on what is coming.
The Coming of the Son of Man
“Immediately
after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon
will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the
heavens will be shaken.
Oh,
if you have read carefully there it is…immediately after the tribulation of
those days! That is the one and only second coming! He has not once said or
indicated we or they will be raptured out. He is telling us to remain faithful,
unmovable! He is coming!
Then the
sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of
the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of
heaven with power and great glory. And He will
send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect
from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
It
is so clear! He is telling us and his disciples this is what will happen to
you! We are not greater than they were. We will experience the tribulation. At
this time He will gather us from the four winds…all of us…Israel and Judah.
Read Matthew 13 on the wheat and tares!
The Parable of the Fig Tree
“Now learn this
parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts
forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So
you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the
doors! Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass
away till all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away,
but My words will by no means pass away.
Again,
dual prophecy. The disciples will see and go through the destruction of the
temple and the scattering of Judah. So we, at the end of this age will also go
through the tribulation of our time. Their generation and our generation. Look
at these recent events: https://www.jurist.org/news/2024/09/israel-challenges-icc-jurisdiction-over-arrest-warrants-for-netanyahu-and-gallant/
https://news.un.org/en/story/2024/09/1154496
The
world is turning against Israel/Judah. All who confess Yeshuah will also be
persecuted. It is beginning. It will play out to its fullness in the coming
years. Be prepared!
No One Knows the Day or Hour
“But of that
day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My
Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so
also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as
in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and
giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not
know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of
the Son of Man be.
The
world will continue to do what it does until He comes! There will be a
functioning world government. The world is not ending tomorrow. It may end in 7
years from now, but no secret second
coming rapture is about to occur!
Then
two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other
left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be
taken and the other left.
Again,
read Matthew 13 in its entirety and
understand the parable of tares and wheat. They are gathered together at the
same time! Tares thrown in the fire, wheat taken into the barn.
Watch
therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. But
know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief
would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore
you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
One
day at a time fellow believers, one day at a time. We are going to go through
some amazing and difficult times in the immediate years ahead of us. Seek now
while you can. Allow the WORD to interpret itself. Read prayerfully and
carefully…there is so much garbage out there. Let both O.T. and N.T. together
interpret themselves…SEEK the truth.
Don’t
be blown about by every end time video and prophecy. Walk a day at a time. READ
the WORD. Stand fast immoveable. Perhaps you will live to hear the sound the
trumpet on that glorious day!

Instructions for Life in the Psalms of Yahweh
We were reading through Psalms One through Fifteen a few Shabbat’s ago and began to see Yahweh speaking through David prophetically. I combined verses from nine of the first 15 Psalms in this short presentation.
Man is corrupt
Ps 14.1 - The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.”They are corrupt, They have done
abominable works,There is none who does good. 2 The Lord looks down from heaven upon the children of men,To see if there are any who understand, who seek God. 3 They have all turned aside,They have together become corrupt; There is none who does good, No, not one.
David is recognizing his own sinfulness as he is repenting for his sins. This also represents the state of this current world. We can only be truly righteous in Yeshua.
God hates wickedness
Ps 5 - Give ear to my words, O Lord, Consider my meditation. 2 Give heed to the voice of my cry, My King and my God, For to You I will pray. 3 My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord; In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up.
4 For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness, Nor shall evil dwell with You. 5 The boastful shall not stand in Your sight; You hate all workers of iniquity. 6 You shall destroy those who speak falsehood; The Lord abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man. 7 But as for me, I will come into Your house in the multitude of Your mercy; In fear of You I will worship toward Your holy temple.
David recognizes the wickedness of humans and the corruption of human government. He is being drawn to a life of worship and allegiance to Yahweh. He is learning to be humble.
The Lord loves righteousness
Ps 11 - In the Lord I put my trust; How can you say to my soul, “Flee as a bird to your mountain”? 2 For look! The wicked bend their bow,They make ready their arrow on the string, That they may shoot secretly at the upright in heart.
3 If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do? 5 The Lord tests the righteous, But the wicked and the one who loves violence His soul hates. 6 Upon the wicked He will rain coals; Fire and brimstone and a burning wind Shall be the portion of their cup. 7 For the Lord is righteous, He loves righteousness; His countenance beholds the upright.
David is learning to trust in God. He had many enemies attacking him but through Elohim would prevailed over them. Yahweh came to David’s rescue. Elohim will test His righteous ones while judging the wicked. David is finding peace and security in his soul. He is being purified.
He Blesses the Godly
Ps 1 - Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. 3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper. The ungodly are not so, But are like the chaff which the wind drives away. 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.6 For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
David is gaining confidence in his Elohim. He is understanding he is becoming beloved of Elohim. His confidence is building. His love for Elohim is growing strong. His fear of his enemies is dissipating.
God Shall Preserve the Godly
Ps 12 - Help, Lord, for the godly man ceases! For the faithful disappear from among the sons of men. 2 They speak idly everyone with his neighbor; With flattering lips and a double heart they speak. 5b Now I will arise,” says the Lord; “I will set him in the safety for which he yearns.”
David understands the corruption and wickedness of the world. He is confident under the protection of Elohim. He will move forward without fear.
6 The words of the Lord are pure words, Like silver tried in a furnace of earth, Purified seven times. 7 You shall keep them, O Lord,You shall preserve them from this generation forever. 8 The wicked prowl on every side, When vileness is exalted among the sons of men.
This mirrors the corruption of government as being exposed in our present time. Elohim is shaking the nations. He is looking to see who will stand with Him in righteousness. We are being tested and tried like gold.
God Protects the Godly from enemies
Ps 7 - O Lord my God, in You I put my trust; Save me from all those who persecute me; And deliver me, 2 Lest they tear me like a lion, rending mein pieces, while there is none to deliver. 6 Arise, O Lord, in Your anger; Lift Yourself up because of the rage of my enemies; Rise up for me to the judgment You have commanded!
7 So the congregation of the peoples shall surround You; For their sakes, therefore, return on high. 8 The Lord shall judge the peoples; Judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness, and according to my integrity within me. 9 Oh, let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, But establish the just; For the righteous God tests the hearts and minds.
David knows he is protected and being tested at the same time. As we see today, the wicked are against all righteousness. They only tear down, they hate those who are attempting to reform the nation. David cries out for justice.
10 My defense is of God, Who saves the upright in heart. 11 God is a just judge,And God is angry with the wicked every day. 12 If he does not turn back, He will sharpen His sword; He bends His bow and makes it ready.
14 Behold, the wicked brings forth iniquity; Yes, he conceives trouble and brings forth falsehood. 15 He made a pit and dug it out, And has fallen into the ditch which he made.16 His trouble shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down on his own crown. 17 I will praise the Lord according to His righteousness, And will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High.
Elohim is going to judge the wicked. We will see truth exposing the deep state corruption in the coming months and year. Pray for justice during these trying times. During the first Cabinet meeting a few days ago the meeting began with a prayer. The interesting thing was that the prayer was not led by a Pastor/Minister, but by a member of the Cabinet! It was from their corporate heart. Please pray for the current Administration to move in Elohim’s will.
There is Safety in the Lord
Ps 4 - Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer. 3 But know that the Lord has set apart for Himself him who is godly; The Lord will hear when I call to Him. 4 Be angry, and do not sin. Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still. Selah
David is walking in the Spirit which relieves him from being distressed. Move in Elohim one day at a time. Elohim’s plan is being executed through men of His choosing. It’s OK to be angry about corruption and sin…don’t let the sun set on your anger or desire for vengeance. Allow Elohim to use those he has established. Spend time in prayer and take whatever comes your way in your daily life as your mission for the day. Pray for reform and justice.
5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, And put your trust in the Lord. 6 There are many who say, “Who will show us any good?” Lord, lift up the light of Your countenance upon us. 7 You have put gladness in my heart, More than in the season that their grain and wine increased. 8 I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.
See how David has advanced in his personal relationship with his Elohim. He is now trusting and moving forward in confidence. When we obey we find safety and purpose. Take one day at a time. Elohim is exposing the corruption. This is judgment upon the Nation(s). He is testing our hearts. Will the Nation(s) repent or become rebellious? The coming years will tell us. Everything that can be shaken is now being shaken to the core. We want to be as David was.
Trust in God’s Salvation
Ps 13 - 5 …I have trusted in Your mercy; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation. 6 I will sing to the Lord, Because He has dealt bountifully with me.David is now singing! There is power in worship and song. He is understanding the meaning of mercy and how Elohim rewards those who walk in His statutes. He understands the purpose of righteous judgment. Elohim testing the hearts of men.
Abide in God’s Tabernacle
Ps 15 - Lord, who may abide in Your tabernacle? Who may dwell in Your holy hill? 2 He who walks uprightly, and works righteousness, and speaks the truth in his heart; 3 He who does not backbite with his tongue, Nor does evil to his neighbor, Nor does he take up a reproach against his friend; But he honors those who fear the Lord; 4b He who swears to his own hurt and does not change; 5 He who does not put out his money at usury, Nor does he take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved.
David is abiding! This is what we desire…to abide in Him. We are required to follow the Code of Conduct which is Torah. Yeshua is Torah—the Living Word. We obey the Code of Conduct and deal honestly with those around us. We keep our word. Refuse bribes. Are satisfied with what we have and turn aside from covetousness.
The righteous need to shine in the present distress. Be encouraged and follow Master Yeshua through it all!
